Introduction

Hello my Crazies!

I, Alara Deathbane, am honoured to serve you, House Excidium, as your new Aedile. I am very excited about this opportunity to serve the Dark Jedi Brotherhood in this new role. Great things are ahead for Clan Scholae Palatinae and House Excidium! Also a big thanks goes to Blade for all she has done for House Excidium in the past as Quaestor. Have fun in your new clan, Lightie!

First of all, can I just start with…

WHAT?!

There are a lot of mixed emotions when it comes to the fall of the Cocytus System, including our beloved Judecca. This introduces a LOT of questions and concerns for all of us. Where are we going now? Will Grand Master Pravus just continue to follow us until we are cornered in defeat? What will this mean for my character and their livelihood? Do not fear, my crazies, all questions will be answered in due time. Though we are all mourning the loss of our system in different stages, I’d like to encourage every single one of you with this thought: "Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning." --Benjamin Franklin

Though not all of us were ready for this sudden change, we can and will continue moving forward, both in community with each other, and in development of the Empire. We have each other, Palatineans! We are all we need!

I would like to take a moment to highlight my Mission Statement as Aedile to you:

• Progression of House Excidium’s Storyline: Where are we going now that we no longer call the Cocytus System home? What is our new mission in the aftermath of disaster? How will our members stand out in the storyline?

• Communication and Transparency: Braecen and I, as well as the CSP Summit, are working hard together to bring more updates and description on Excidium as a whole, as well as the Battleteam(s!)! If you have any questions you’d like to ask any of us, feel free to do so. We don’t want to leave anyone out of the loop.

• Character Development: I encourage you all to join me in this venture to fully realize your character in our unique universe. As you work through these exercises and competitions, you will know the answers to many questions about your character that you did not think about, or know how to answer, before. You will learn where you fit in Excidium. And House Excidium will discover where it fits in your development.

Battle Team News

Tacitus Athanasius:

Though they have recently lost their planet base and their Silent Death Citadel along with it, has been growing exponentially. This band has exciting competitions that help you shape the history of TA, and competitions that are there to help you have some fun while getting shinies too! Special shout out to Lucyeth and Chrome for joining the Battle Team! We are so happy to have you here. :D This assassin guild has 11 active members out of 12 now! Big congratulations to Shadow Nighthunter and our other sneakity-sneaks. Kylex has also stepped up as the new honorary Sergeant in my place and has been growing into the role exceptionally. I am so proud of all of you. Your dedication to each other and to the DJB makes an impact bigger than you realize.

A New Battle Team is on the Rise…

Due to the rapid advancement of populace in Excidium, we are very excited to announce that a second Battle team of Excidium is in the works! Members have been working together to bring new opportunities to the House. This team is for those who appreciate the forefront, intellect, street smarts, brawn, guile, endurance, and explosions. More information will be available as we fully realize this concept!

What is the biggest thing you’ve learned since becoming a leader?

I’ve been learning moreso the fact that a leader isn’t about being in the forefront, its about pushing others to the front from behind. A true leader isn’t truly defined by their great victories and accomplishments, but the accomplishments and victories of those they serve.

Who’s the sexiest of them all...Wallykins, Attiebunns, or Braeby?

In Closing

We have very exciting months ahead when it comes to planning, rebuilding, competing, and even fighting. Our Clan shall choose a new system for the Empire, our House a new planet, and our Battleteam(s!) new fortresses to live in. Study hard with those degrees! Stretch yourself with new comps! Indulge in old and new community relationships! It’s going to be a wild ride on the Destroyer together. Also, my apologies for messy markdown. I stared at this via notepad and with the shadow academy course next to me for 2 hours and I still couldn't figure out why it didn't like to bullet and aligned as I wished it to. Ended up deleting my gifs too. v.v
