Proconsul Report #1 A Wild Report Appears!
"Zappius the Mandaboo... his name is Zappius the Mandaboo... and there's a million things he didn't do... but just you wait, just you wait..."
Sorry guys, it ain't a Taldryan report if I don't include a Hamilton reference somewhere. (Thanks, Erin for that little tidbit.)
Greetings everyone! Welcome to my very first Taldryan Proconsul report! I would like to take the opportunity to thank Erinyes, Evant and Bubba for giving me the chance to serve as Proconsul of this wonderful Clan.
I'd also like to thank everyone for their support, not just in Taldryan but outside of it too. The amount of people encouraging me to apply in the first place, all the way to congratulating me when it was announced I got the position. It was truly heartfelt, heartwarming, and I want to thank all of you and promise to my damndest to be the best Proconsul I can be.
With that all said, let's move on to the meat of the report!
Hard work and Magistrate appointments!
Our shiny Herald released a brand new report where she announced her new magistrates, whom included Aylin and Xolarin, so congratulations to the both of you! It also showed off the magnificent work of the Herald staff, particularly Rian who is an absolute beast! I'd highly recommend clicking the link above and checking out that report.
Seals of Loyalty
A few members of the Clan received Seals of Loyalty on Star Wars Day from the Grand Master! Myself, Rian, Aylin and Dasha all received Seals!

Battleteam Vanir
As Erinyes already stated in a previous report, Xolarin is now leading the brand new Battleteam for the Clan, Battleteam Vanir. It is an introductory team for new members to the Clan to learn the ropes under Xolarin's guidance, as well as their masters. There is a wiki page up for everyone to see, and I'd like to commend Xolarin for his work thus far!
I have moved anyone at the rank of JM3 and under into the Battleteam. The current roster is as follows;
Recruitment
Of course, the major thing about having a Battleteam dedicated to helping new members in the Clan is actually having a steady influx of new members.
For this, I'd like to point out a nifty little feature on all of our admin pages! Right at the very bottom is an option there that says Recruitment Link. What you can do with that, is create a link to share with people so that if they click it and join the club, they can be placed straight into our Clan.
So, are you a part of other online communities? Do you know places where people might be interested in our little corner of the internet? Feel free to advertise and share a link! Plus, any recruits you can get get you awarded with a Scroll of Indoctrination, which can help with awards and promotions!
Rite of Supremacy!
The next Vendetta has been announced and it is a Rite of Supremacy! It's set to begin in just a few weeks time on the 30th!
If you've never been a part of a Rite of Supremacy before, don't worry, it's my first one too. Secondly, it differs from a Great Jedi War in that Clans will battle one another or other threats for rewards decided upon by the Dark Council.
Unlike a Great Jedi War, individual placements matter so much more. That's why we need to come together as a Clan to work together and show what Taldryan can do.
I know you guys. This clan is filled with hard-working, dedicated, and talented individuals. Just like in GJW XIV, I know we can come together again and work together to do the best we can. Whether that be proofing fictions, giving comments on artwork etc etc. Taldryan is more than just a Clan. "It's a Brotherhood within a Brotherhood." Nothing personifies that more than when we work together and help one another.

Here is the section where I get a taste of my own medicine and you guys get to ask me questions that I get to answer!
- Shanree/GhostVodo asks: What is the most sentient creature Appius would wear a trophy of on his armor?
The thing about Mandalorian sigils is that they are awarded when the Mando in question defeats the creature. So for that, I'd have to look at the SARLACC battles. From the ones he defeated... I'd probably go with the rancor he and Farrin took down, just because it's Farrin. He's my master and it was so cool being able to do that with him.
- Xolarin asks: What's your first move as PCON? Also, how much will he and Xolarin hiss at each other as they pass by?
To crush our enemies, to see them driven before us, and to hear the lamentations of their woman.
And constantly hissing, hurling their tea in the sea as they see each other go by.
- Von Ricmore asks: On a fictional note which of the clans do you see as the greatest threat to Taldryan? Are there any clans you would consider to be allies, and if so, any that are more than allies of temporary convenience?
Ooh that's a toughie. It's hard to really answer that since the beautiful thing about this club is that it depends on how things are written that determine how threatening one Clan can be to another. Arcona has had a rivalry with Taldryan in the past, so there's that, but if we talk for an in character perspective, I can think of two. Clan Plagueis and Clan Vizsla. Plagueis because Appius has fought against them before and has PTSD from that as a result. Vizsla because Appius used be in that Clan and he knows how tough Mandalorians can be, obviously. They aren't to be underestimated.
If we talk about allies. CNS more than likely after the Unchained Malady event. We had a joint enemy and we worked together to take them down. The rest are probably just indifferent or neutral. Though how that might change in the future? Who knows. ;)
- Jorm asks: Building on your answer... Your enemies all share a single woman? o_O
Err… maybe?
- Aylin asks: What is the first thing you will do after rescuing the foundling?

- Anubis asks: What are your biggest plans for the clan as Proconsul?
On top of recruitment which has already been stated above in the report, building upon the fictional identity of the Clan is a big thing for me, and I'm looking forward to working with Erinyes on that.
- Zentru'la asks: If you could change one thing in the club what would it be?
As someone who writes a kark tonne of fiction, I'd like to see more opportunities for cross-clan fiction writing. It's rare when we get to do it, but it can be a lot of fun! Part of the reason I love the ACC so much is the interactions you get to have with characters you rarely get the chance to meet otherwise.
- Ben Asks: What are your feelings on the American Pecan Council's Federal Agriculture Improvement & Reform Act Study, published back in March? In particular, do you feel that their claims to have enhanced demand for U.S. pecans in the last 5 years are worth the promotional expenditures during that same timeframe?
I'm gonna say... perhaps.
- Justinios asks: Two questions:
1. Who do you think you are?
2. What gives you the right?
I'm the Zappiest man in all the land.

- Liandry asks: Will you be considering seeking promotion to Peking?
Of course. ;)
- Dasha asks: Dasha is asking for her own secure warehouse for... stuffs.
Raises brow. I hope there's no glitter involved, young lady.
- Jorm also asks: How far will Appius follow Erin's lead? Where is the breaking point of his loyalty/convenient alliance?
And will he leave Ankira for Erinno?
He's actually got a huge amount of respect for Erinyes, despite the fact they've fought before and she kicked his ass. He's loyal, but he's loyal to those he cares for. If Erinyes suddenly turned around and said, "sacrifice all these people you care for to help Tal." Appius would turn on her soooo fast.
Thankfully, I don't think Erinyes would do that anyways. Her Zeltron empathy kinda stops that and she might be hedonistic and highly self-centred, but she's not a sadist.
As for Erinno. Appius is a one woman kind of guy, I'm afraid, so no. Besides, the goody two shoes version of Erinyes sounds highly boring.
- Aru asks: 1 - How does it feel to have a bigger target on your back? 2 - How is the debt I left you on Coruscant?
1) meh. He's used to it.
2) not as big as Erinyes' booze budget in seven systems!!! (I kid, I don't know what Erinyes' booze budget is, and the idea frightens me.)
