Oh no! It's Zappius!

Hello, House Ektrosis! Yes, it is me again, back with a brand new report for you all. Firstly, I'd like to apologize for the lack of reports recently, as well as the lateness of this one. Between SARLACC, Aggressive Expansion, and now the Event with CNS, I felt it was better to let you guys just get on with things and support you as necessary.

Speaking of Aggressive Expansion Phase 2, the comps have now ended and have been judged. I will be going over some entries and member highlights later in this report. The event with CNS is still running, and the recent fiction updates tie everything in nicely.

So let's get on with it, shall we?

Fresh New Faces In Very Old Places

We've got some new and old faces joining and returning to us since my last report! So please join me in welcoming;

Lenoka Tuteru Shadowalker and Kailan Abram are two of Taldryan's and Ektrosis' newest members! Preold Mohff and Marcus Harriot are the newest addition to our little group.

Welcome to all of you!

On top of this, out of character, Battleteam Tavros has been merged into House Ektrosis. Fictionally speaking, or in character if you prefer, the Vornskr Battalion is now contracted to Ektrosis, meaning Appius now handles the administration that deals with them.

That being said, I'd like to give a belated welcome toZentru'la, and Aylin Sajark/Ankira Irr.

Awards and Praise

The part I look forward to the most in every report. The part where I get to gush all over all of you! (All of this is correct at the time of writing.) Since my last report in January, we have had...

• Crysenia Orainn: Participated in 10 competitions, passed 3x SA courses and has been awarded 8x Scrolls of Foundation and 1x Legion of the Scholar!

• Dasha 'Jala' Talus: Participated in 6 competitions, and has been awarded 1x Crescent with a Sapphire Star!

• Aay'han Agrona Beviin: Participated in 1 competition and completed 1 ACC battle!

• Aylin Sajark/Ankira Irr: Participated in 9 competitions, passed 1x SA course, and has been awarded 1x Crescent with a Diamond Star, 1x Crescent with a Ruby Star, 2x Crescents with Amethyst Stars, and 1x Crescent with an Emerald Star!

• Tracinya Beviin Entar: Participated in 6 competitions, and has finished 1 ACC battle!

• Shanree Argentin: Participated in 2 competitions and earned 1x Crescent with an Amethyst Star!

• Raistline Taldrya Majere: Participated in 18 competitions, passed 3x SA courses and gained 2x Degrees. He has earned 1x Crescent with an Amethyst Star, 1x Crescent with a Sapphire Star, 1x Crescent with an Emerald Star, and 3x Pendants of Blood. I don't usually go over clusters, but Raist has been a monster. He's earned 260 Clusters of Earth and 151 Clusters of Fire!

• Rakhai: Participated in 4 competitions!

• Andrelious J. Inahj: Participated in 8 competitions. Finished 2x ACC battles, passed 1x SA Course Nd earned 1x Crescent with an Amethyst Star!

• Zentru'la: Participated in 12 competitions, earned 2x Crescents with Ruby Stars, 1x Crescent with an Amethyst Star, 2x Crescents with Emerald Stars, and 1x Crescent with a Topaz Star!

• Benevolent Whiner Taldrya: Participated in 12 competitions, passed 6 SA courses, earned 1 degree, earned 1x Crescent with a Ruby Star, 1x Crescent with a Sapphire Star, and 1x Legion of the Scholar!

• Rian Taldrya: Participated in 5 competitions, earned an Amethyst Kukri for all his hard work! (More on that below) and earned 1x Crescent with an Amethyst Star!

Well done everyone, and thank you for the monumental effort you guys have put in. It's fantastic stuff!

Aggressive Expansion Phase 2

Phase 2 of Aggressive Expansion has concluded. The results were as follows;

• Fiction: Mark (1st), Zentru’la (3rd)

• Gaming: (Squadrons): Vodo (1st), Ben (2nd), Raist (3rd)

• Graphics: Rian (1st), Aylin (2nd), Zentru’la (3rd)

• Puzzle: Jala (1st), Aylin (2nd), Zentru’la (3rd)

Member Highlights

So here's the thing, not everything that members do can be found on their dossiers. So this section is dedicated to that, as well as entries into comps that I really enjoyed.

• Ankira/Aylin and I finished our third Co-op story, which can be viewed HERE.

• Dasha and I have expanded upon our co-op story on Discourse, which can be viewed HERE.

• Zentru'la hit me hard in the feels with this piece of artwork from one of my recent art comps.

• Ankira/Aylin has been hard at work with her many doodles, and did this new piece of art of her new NPC, Vrakit.

• Lenoka has shown me a starting image for their new character.

• Mark was also the member who made his 'Tal keyboard go brr' the most with his phase 2 entry for Aggressive Expansion hitting over 8000 words!

An Award and a Promotion!

So I sectioned of this little part of the report for two members. Rian and Tracinya.

• Rian was awarded an Amethyst Kukri for his work on the Herald staff and his general activity! Congratulations to you, Rian!

• Tracinya was recently promoted to EQ3! For a mixture of continued activity, leadership experience, and hard work. Congratulations to you!

Ektrosis Run-On

The Ektrosis Run-On is on a temporary hiatus whilst we all focus on the event with CNS. (More on that below.) But once Unchained Malady has concluded, I will be looking to pick it back up full swing. It's great lore development for us, as we get to take over our own HQ, and make it whatever we desire it to be!

I will be looking for volunteers to do posts, however, if you'd like to make a post relatively soon, please let me know and feel free to jump in and participate!

Unchained Malady

The event with CNS is currently running, and the container for the competitions can be seen HERE.

Normally, I'd just leave it at that. But I'd like to just say something before I go any further. You guys are awesome. We've already had participation in several comps in the event from a good number of the House members. I know what you guys are capable of, and I know you'll make me proud. I have no doubt about it. For those who want to participate but haven't, it's never too late.

My door is open for those who need help with fictions, artwork or anything like that. Feel free to message me. :)

AskAppiusAnything

Now for the section where I get a taste of my own medicine.

• Erinyes Asks: How do you write every second you're alive? The reference is in jest, obviously, but after seeing the sheer volume of work you put out (your activity assessment says you've written the equivalent of a novel in fiction entries in the past year, not even counting the ACC) I'm genuinely curious about how you maintain that level of output.

Ok. So what I do, is I set myself short, reachable goals on what I want to achieve everyday. Let's take my fictions as an example. Normally I set a target of 500 words per day. It usually goes over that, I did 700 words today, just as an example, but I reached my goal and that's the important thing. This counts towards everything from character questions, my magistrate work for Ciara, co-op fictions, ACC, Quaestor duties, etc etc.

If you were curious about today's goals, it was to write 500 words of fiction for my next Unchained Malady fiction, tweak my RO post for Locke and Sang, and finish up and post this report!

• Bale/Kereban Asks: And?

Now that is a question! ;)

• Dasha Asks: Is that your underwear?

Hey, if Superman can do it, then so can I!

• Xolarin Asks: Who would win in a fight - Skittles or Starburst Minis?

Skittles. 100% and I won't accept any other answer!

• Liandry Asks: If Appius made an app, what would it do?

As seen on the Tal chat, it would be called the App App Asks. It basically acts like Alexa, but way cooler because it's Appius. ;)

• Ben Asks: Why did you send the spring snow? Did you think this is funny?

Need I remind you that you are supposed to be the detective here, Ben. Not me. You figure it out. XD

• Ryu Asks: Why are you a pain in the ass :p

Please, you guys adore me. (I hope.) 😋

• Liandry Asks Again: If Appius could ask anything what would it be?

That's a tough one. I'd honestly say he'd ask"What do I do next?" Appius doesn't really plan very much. He's very reactive, so most of what happens with him tends to be because of something that he did on the fly, whether he meant well or not. But he's ambitious, which in itself presents another host of problems.

• Ankira/Aylin Asks: Who would ask the big question?

That is a hard one. Thing is, Appius is a massive romantic. It's a side of him only Ankira really sees, born from a need to treasure those that somehow get into heart. So I can see him doing it eventually. Then again, I can sort of see them both in a life of death situation and Ankira just blurting it out of nowhere. Or even Appius for that matter.
