Summit Update ✂️ARC Con Report #1.2

Alright Arcona.

We’re doing a bit of a reset. New chapter energy. Fresh page. Same Clan. Probably the same chaos and most definitely more coffee involved.

Before we charge forward at lightspeed (ha, get it?), I want to stop and take a moment to recognize someone who has spent a LOT of time helping keep House Galeres running.

That person is Governor Bril Teg Erinos, Blade Master. Bril has served just under a year on the Arcona summit. You heard that right, almost a year! That's quite a long time. Which means a lot of leadership time, a lot of planning, a lot of screaming, maybe even some crying, a lot of responsibility and a whole lot of moments doing quiet work while everybody else got to enjoy just being here. In Arcona. In the Brotherhood.

I’ll be frank, leadership isn’t glamorous. I’m sure most if not all the leaders in the DB would agree with this. It’s spreadsheets, ideas at weird hours, solving problems before things become problems, it’s threatening people with scissors ✂️ (affectionately), it’s encouraging activity when everyone's motivation is low, it’s about caring enough to keep showing up.

And that is exactly what Bril has done. He has shown up.

Bril has done an incredible amount of work for the Clan. From developing the Pathfinders, to helping shape identity and the direction of House Galeres, to running competitions, and kept momentum going, he has worked his butt of. He’s also worked closely with Koda Kendis where the two of them basically turned brainstorming into an art form. Perhaps a battle? An obsession? A place where you do not want to stand and interrupt. Picture constantly tossing ideas back and forth back and forth, building stories; lots and lots of stories, testing different concepts and asking THE most dangerous question in Arc history. I don't think you’re ready to hear it….

Okay… but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

What if we did something fun?

It’s okay folks, take a deep breath. I know those words are scary.

With all that to say, from the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you Bril. Thank you for all the time and effort you gave to Arcona and House Galeres. (Perhaps even blood, sweat and tears?) Thank you for all the creativity you shared. Thank you for all the energy you’ve invested into Arcona and House Galeres. It is so appreciated. You are so appreciated and so loved! Thank you for everything pal.

With Quaestor and Aedile now vacant for House Galeres, it means we need to fill the spots.

Now… leadership transitions can be a little like changing pilots mid hyperspace jump… (could you imagine?) Definitely exciting. Chaotic? Absolutely. A little scary? Totally. But remember it is something we have dealt with before, and will probably continue to deal with.

Anyways, I’m very excited and happy to announce our new House leadership:

Warlord Wuntila Arconae will be stepping into the role of Quaestor and Master Sashar Erinos, di Tenebrous Arconae will be serving as Aedile of House Galeres.

These two gents are no strangers to Arcona. In fact, both have been an incredibly important part of Arc’s growth over the years, hence why they both carry the Clan Title.

Their expertise, knowledge and investment in Arcona and the community obviously make them both very strong and natural candidates for leadership, and having them both on board is genuinely super exciting.

These two gents are active members, leaders and role models of the DB who have already contributed a lot into and for Arcona. It is my absolute pleasure to welcome them both back into the Arcona Summit.

I am looking forward to working alongside these two iconic members as we continue to build for what's to come next. Perhaps now we have a bit of an advantage going into the next Great Jedi War? 😈
