So, I guess this is hello?

So, by now everyone knows that we have had a number of Summit changes within Taldryan. However, I don’t think I ever actually formally introduced myself. I think by now most people within the Clan know who I am, especially those of you in Ektrosis. If not? Well...hello! I’m Halc and I shall be the guy protecting you from the Wrath of Yacks. I am also partial to green.

We are all still getting comfortable in our new roles, as well as enjoying some of the extra time we have now that we don’t have to worry about another Vendetta anytime soon. There’s a lot of stuff going on in the DB at the moment (as I’ll mention later in my report, so read on), which goes to show how much pent-up creative energy there’s been waiting to explode.

Now, as for us, we’re here to help you. You have a strong Summit top-to-bottom as well as a strong foundation of veterans from which to ask questions or pick their brains. Use them...use us! It’s ok, we don’t mind (especially Howie...he gets lonely).

Ch-ch-ch-changes

Speaking of changes, we had even more this week in Ektrosis. As announced in the Ekky QUA report, there is both a new Aedile and Battle Team Leader in town. A big congratulations go out to Raistline on Aedile and to Bobecc. I’m hoping for big things from the new Ekky team!

Star Wars Movies you say?

Big big BIG news just came out today relating to that little franchise called Star Wars. There was a shareholder’s meeting today, and at it they have announced the very first “spin-off” movie that will be called Rogue One, with one of the stars being Felicity Jones (she of the movie Theory of Everything). From the title of that movie, it sounds like it will be focusing on Rogue Squadron, which was the elite starfighter unit in the original trilogy. If it does focus on starfighters and such I shall squee loudly.

Also announced was the release date of Episode VIII, which looks to be showing up May 26, 2017. That is just a year and a half after the release of the first movie, and it will be directed by Rian Johnson (he did Looper and Brick).

Honestly, I’m really hyped about the spin-off movie just from the title. Very much looking forward to finding out more information about it.

Wide World of DB

The Grand Master put out a report that focused a lot on possessions. This thing has been ongoing for a long time now, but it’s great to finally see it getting the attention it deserves. It should hopefully be a very fun way to use all of the “credits” our activity has been accumulating over the years.

Some weird guy was named Wiki Tribune, while one former Arcona CON has been named as the Combat Master.

Biggest news this week? This morning (very early, or late last night, something like that!) Seyda Norith was promoted to Guardian! Congratulations to her!

A suggestion to journeymen (and hell, everyone!) – Gorefest starts this weekend, beginning on Thursday night (in North America at least), and continuing through to dinner-ish time on Sunday. That means? Double Clusters of Fire for all gaming as long as you submit to the Gorefest competition! Thing is?
