Tarentum!

First things first: Forged Alliances. Please remember, we have an ongoing competition with Plagueis, and this is a great opportunity for us to be actively involved and making new friends. I appreciate the work and leadership from Farrin, as well as Teylas and Selika in this event. Make sure to check out the events, and take some time to have fun and submit!

My own event for the first bit was a Caption Comp, while the next event is inspired by Poe. It may be no surprise the Edgar Allan Poe is perhaps my all-time favorite author. If you've ever seen me almost overuse commas to try and get you to breathe, and cause a certain tempo and speed in how you read, Poe is one who has molded that in me a bit. If you want to understand me as an author and creator, Poe is definitely one facet of that.

We're a Clan of unique individuals, all with rich history and fabulous ability, much like Mr. Poe, and I want each of you to get out there, and put your best foot forward. Tarentum Momentum is a real thing, as long as we believe it. Make sure you do your part. We survive, we thrive, based on the life each of us puts into this Clan and Club.

Star Wars Tidings

Well, it's here; I'm excited for Knights of the Fallen Empire. I've already played it a bit on my Sorc, and gotten him to 64. When they pegged this as BioWare storytelling, they don't disappoint. I'm not going to give spoilers at this point, but it really is a great bit of creative work. I actually love how they've molded the setting, and made use of the characters in the story. Arcann and Valkorian don't disappoint. The cast of characters grows, and in some cases has surprised me. If you've been waiting for KotFE, what are your thoughts? If you've been away from ToR, get your tail in game, and see what all the fuss is about.

Yes, it's early access right now, but it won't be for long! Subscribe, get involved, and enjoy the first several chapters of this new, evolving and incredible storyline.

The third trailer for “The Force Awakens” came out, and people are commenting on the lack of Luke. I'm probably a heathen for saying I wasn't impressed by the trailer, but I'm really excited for the movie. It promises action, a new story, excitement, and a return to many of our favorite and beloved characters. J. J. Abrams is one hell of a creative mind, and I think this is going to bring a new level of energy to an already-crackling franchise. I mean, for real, early ticket purchases broke several websites more than once. If that doesn't scream energy and enthusiasm, what does?

Avenues For Advancement

I want to highlight one way, for now, for people to earn promotions and rewards. This is a story-driven, fan fiction Club. Yes, we also play games. In fact, some of us play games more exclusively, and there's a lot to get out of the Star Wars games. That being said, an easy method of advancement is to complete an ACC character sheet and Wiki entry for your character. This allows you to flesh yourself out, as well as to practice your writing techniques.

If you don't have a Wiki, get one started. If you need some help, we have several great resource persons, including Meleu. Make use of all the tools at your disposal, and we'll get you to DJK and beyond in short time. :)

To Wrap It Up

KotFE is great, and I will be spending as much free time as I can devote to it, because the story is rich, and fun to live through.

We're still competing with Plagueis, so get out and participate in Forged Alliances. Let us know if you need help, and our Plagueis teammates are also a great asset to us. Have fun with this.

Get involved, be excited. These are good times to be in Tarentum. Invite your friends, invite your family. My wife is sometimes seen chatting Tarenti up on my cell, or our home computer. This is a wonderful Club to be a part of, and to have your friends and loved ones (who enjoy Star Wars) involved in.
