Two New Arconae Have Entered the Villa

Updated Policy

The new Clan Title holder policy can be found on the official Clan Title Census page.

This system was created after taking the poll data shared with all members of the Clan, and engineered with the help of the existing Arconae, Clan Summit, and data crunching from Orv, who added a new kind of report for Consuls/Proconsuls.

With the Arconae title now calculated based on the new point system, the Consul will run periodic checks on the roster until the process is automated.

Beyond that, we want to keep cataloging the efforts of each member that earns the Clan title, so their deeds will continue to be tracked in the di Tenebrous Arconae page.

The New Kids

With this process now codified, we are excited to announce two new Arconae!

Bograt

The irony of Bog, old as he is, being part of anything “new” is immediately overshadowed by his commitment to Clan Arcona since returning to the club. He served as Battleteam Leader, Aedile, Quaestor, Proconsul, and Consul, contributing massively to the Clan’s lore and world building. He has also stepped out into multiple staff roles in support of the Exarch and Wiki Tribune to show that Arconans are a positive force for the Brotherhood.

Bril

Bril the Builder, among his many accolades, has spent every day since transferring into Clan Arcona contributing to the community, encouraging others around him to get involved, and leads by example. He continues to grow and does not let obstacles slow him down, contributing daily to our lore while being one of the most active members in the Clan bringing home over 3,000,000 credits. Beyond the metrics, he is a model Arconan that represents us in a positive way to the rest of the club.

Very few members embody the “mamba” mentality, but Bril blends competitive spirit with creativity, and positivity that is infectious to both new and veteran members alike.

Re-Awarded Title

We’re also excited to grant Socorra Erinos her Arconae title back. Since returning to Arcona, she has been an activity powerhouse and was a top performer during the recent War, showcasing her loyalty and commitment.

Per the updated policy, if an Arconae forfeits their title by transferring to another Clan, they can regain it by simply being a member of the Clan for (6) months. No activity threshold is required, but it does show a commitment to “coming back” and we felt this was a fair compromise.

Closing

9 months ago, I was one of the new kids in Arcona.

Now I’m writing the closing section of a news post announcing the new Arconae, so clearly someone made a questionable decision somewhere along the way. Jokes aside, one of the things I’ve come to appreciate most about this Clan is just how much people contribute in ways that aren’t always immediately visible. Some people lead. Some build. Some compete. Some write. Some help other members get involved. Some quietly keep things moving behind the scenes. All of that matters.

And that’s really what this new system is about.

“Exceptional service to the Clan” is a nice sentiment, but it’s not a particularly useful measurement. What does good mean? How much is enough? What actually counts? With the new system, we’re giving members a much clearer answer.

You can see the path. You can work toward it.

And when you’ve done the work, we have something concrete to point to and say, “You earned this.”

That’s important to me. Recognition should feel achievable, and it should feel like something you can actively work toward, not something hidden behind a mystery door that only opens if you know the right people.

So congratulations to Bog and Bril on earning the title, and to Socorra on reclaiming hers. You each bring something different to Arcona, and I’m very happy to see that recognized.

To everyone else: keep going! Get involved. Try something new. Compete. Build. Create. Help someone else succeed. Make the Clan a little better than you found it. And if all else fails? Remember that there is a very real possibility that I will eventually show up with a spreadsheet and a pair of scissors.
