Another month has come and gone here in the DB, and with it we saw a hugely successful Feud (more on that later), the start of a DB Wide event (a little more on that later), and everybody’s favourite day of the year, STAR WARS DAY (a gif of that now)

I hope everyone celebrated responsibly (I know I didn’t) and didn’t get toooo drunk on Star Wars. Now let’s get into the reason why we are all here.

House Tyranus News

As I am sure you are all aware, due to my incessant badgering, we just completed our two week Feud against Taldryan.

Coming off of the success of the House V House event we had earlier this year, I’m not going to lie, I had some high expectations of Tyranus. And I am happy to report (see what I did there?) that you absolutely delivered, helping bring a decisive victory to Plagueis. During the Feud, house Tyranus saw a staggering 93% of the house participate in at least one competition! This is definitely an accomplishment you should be proud of!

Let’s break down the numbers: I already mentioned this one but…93% of the house participated in the Fued!!! In week 1, 13/14 members submitted to the puzzle Week 1 we had 55 out of a possible 112 submissions Week 2 had a dip in entries with 45 out of a possible 112 submissions 4 members submitted to 15 or more competitions throughout the feud Tyranus averaged 7.4 total entries per member

These are some seriously impressive numbers and all added together to bring home the victory with a total of 1418 points against Taldryan’s 1132. While Taldryan certainly fought hard, they could not best the Ascendant clan. You can see a more detailed breakdown of the results from a clan level in Selika’s Results Post.

Now, I hope you’re all aware that you have shown this proud Hat that you can truly produce some incredible results, which means next time I will be pushing you to take it even further. Dare I say 100% participation in GJWXV?!

All-in-all these results really showed not only myself, but the entire club what you are made of, and have shown that you all deserve all of the awards and shinnies coming to you in the next section of my report…

Clan Plagueis News

There have been two exciting announcements recently in Plagueis, the first being that my rival fellow Quaestor, Nora Olen, has joined the hallowed ranks of the di Plagia. It has truly been an honour working alongside, and seeing the passion and hard work Nora has poured into both this clan and the club as whole since joining us just over a year ago. This is a well deserved title. Check out the full announcement post, featuring a wonderful fiction by Alaris welcoming Nora to the di Plagia.

The second piece of news is the introduction of a new/old Proconsul. Not long ago, personal reasons forced our former Proconsul, Qormus, to take a step back from his leadership role in the clan. In the interim, Teylas stepped forward and helped lead us through some incredibly successful events. But the time has come for Teylas to step back and let a new leader take on the role. That’s right, Qormus is back baby! I want to take a moment to thank Teylas for everything he has done for the clan, not only during his latest stint as Proconsul but also for his long and impressive career here in the club, and also congratulate Qormus on retaking his throne…I mean, rejoining the clan summit.

Brotherhood News

One of the biggest things happening in the club right now is the May the Fourth 2023 event. This is a team based event that started on May 1st and will be running until May 21st. Don’t worry though if you aren’t part of a team for this already because individuals can compete for participation, just not placement. This has been a very fun competition so far which some pretty silly competitions that’ll earn you some quick XP.
