Tython Squadron Report #6

Happy Six-monthiversary!

Blows party horn while firing off confetti This report officially marks six months since I took over as Battle Team Leader in the fall, and it's been a ride. No doubt, taking this position was one of my favorite decisions I've made since joining this club seven years ago.

But, it's not all about me - allow me to welcome in our two newest members, Essik and Vez (or Archenskov as you may know them on TG). These two have proven insanely active in the last few months, and it only seemed right to invite them into our team.

Now, the standard reminders - don't forget, our Run-On Castaway is still going, however slowly, and we welcome anyone who wants to hop in! In addition, there's an ongoing Role-Play up on the clan Discord Channel, which is a great way to interact with our fellow Odanites and polish up our writing abilities - I hear they've just captured a castle that rose out of the ocean, so go see what that's about!

And, as always, we have our monthly recognitions and competition recs - with one additional caveat. Last month also saw our Summit giving out quarterly awards, so they'll be recognitions for those of you who received those listed below as well. And let me say, as your leader it always warms my greedy Mercenary heart to see you guys being as active as many of you have been lately! Keep it up, everybody.

Ongoing Competitions

  • Spring Break Fashion: A graphics comp where you depict your character in their spring outfits of choice!

  • Combat Writing - Fighting Yourself: A way to flex your writing muscles without having to wait on an ACC partner - by pitting your main character against one of your alternatives, should you have one.

  • [Odan-Urr] Toxic! has 3 sub-competitions: We've talked about this one on the TG channel, so I'm pretty sure most of you are aware of it already. If not, it's another bit of Clan-Storyline wherein we are tasked to take a down a massive drug operation on an ocean world. Teams will create Battle-plans, but there is also a Graphics and a Gaming comp available for everyone.

  • [FIST] May 2020 GMRG Competitions: Monthly FIST comps for our gamers, your know the drill - having said that, I would advise checking out Sneks - a bit of a simple arcade throwback, even if you're like me without the necessary hardware for Gaming and MMO participation.

  • What if Past join the fight?: Standard puzzle comp, nothing taxing but good for some quick and dirty participation points, which are always worth the ten-to-fifteen minutes it takes to get them.

Thank you for the breakdown of events and listing of activities. This has been a welcome way of tracking who is doing what.
