Primary reason

With an illustrious career in the Dark Brotherhood already behind him, Muz continues to be a positive force within the club and even more so in Clan Naga Sadow. He has helped to serve the Clan as Quaestor in recent months, but even before that he has never really retired from supporting his fellows. Even before taking up the mantle of House leadership again, Muz has always been willing to offer wisdom and insight to any who earnestly ask it, and even bop me on the head occasionally as the situation required it.

Now I could easily carry on with a list of his achievements, but I feel that wouldn't serve to accurately describe his impact. Since August of last year, Muz has given a lot of advice to myself and others, even before he took over House Marka Ragnos as Quaestor back in September. I could go on to list the 7 competitions he organized, the other 7 he coorganized, the time he has spent gaming with others in the Clan/club or the energy he has put into 12 fiction activities and the work he has put into ROs. I could point out that despite his experience with the club (even besides his time as a seated Grand Master), he has continued to take part in the Shadow Academy, having passed another 13 courses since his last recognition. In the 45 competitions that Muz has taken part in, we have seen him rake in 14 Crescents- 2 Diamond, 4 Ruby, 3 Amethyst, 4 Sapphire and a lone Emerald- which is not at all unimpressive. I could detail the deeds that garnered him 71 Clusters of Earth, the stories which earned him 13 Clusters of Ice, or the artistic works that earned him 5 Clusters of Graphite. I could even make note of the singular Legion of the Scholar.

These things reflect little of the man, in my experience. Muz cares for this club, cares for its members, and cares for his Clan. Before writing this recommendation I took a curious look at Muz's feats since joining the Brotherhood, helps to bring home the simple truth of how much Muz cares. I can say it was daunting the first time that I spoke to a seemingly mystical former GM, but he has never been anything more than approachable. Muz has worked with myself in the same way that I know he works with his Aedile and his Battleteam Leader, his Consuls and Pronconsuls, lending both wisdom and insight in equal parts. In the midst of changes of Consul, Pronconsul, Rollmasters, Battleteam Leaders, Quaestors and Aediles Muz has been a comforting constant. He is always willing to play a sounding board, an advisor, a counselor and on occasion to help the rest of us to ascend to greater heights and hopes. For all his work, his dedication, and the energy he has invested, I wish to present Muz Ashen Keibatsu, former Grand Master and Lion of Tarthos, this Grand Cross as a small token of our gratitude for his work over the last nine months in particular.

Additional reasons

Muz is a sage and wise teacher. He is patient, understanding and kind. He's also a firebrand that smacks the crap out of me if I mess up in some way. My move to Consul has not been a smooth one, but I can reliably say that Muz has helped me immensely and I am extremely lucky to have a veteran leader like Muz in my camp. He has made me strive to be the best, he has made me always defend my actions and improved my courage to take risks and do what is best for the Clan.

Muz is a mentor to so many members within Naga Sadow. His time spent as Quaestor of Marka Ragnos has seen him help members not just in Marka Ragnos, but also Shar Dakhan.

Marka Ragnos has blossomed under Muz's leadership. The House was struggling when he took the reins. Struggling with activity, a direction and a general malaise. Muz has captured people's imaginations, enabled their ideas to grow and bloom and has run several Clan wide events that have seen fantastic activity. Muz has always maintained that he was only going to be Quaestor for a short while, but when he does get the chance to leave the driver's seat, I know that Marka Ragnos will be in the best position available.

I would be lost without Muz, he has long epitomised the Clan and what it means to sacrifice your time and effort for the Club as a leader. His dedication, hard work and continued support and mentor-ship to myself, my Summit and our members is inspiring, I can only hope that this token of my appreciation will go some way to allowing him to recognise that.

Thank you.

Primary reason

Evelynn has been hard at work since his last recognition back in January. While there are a small number of our ranks in CNS that are gamers, he is arguably one of our most avid, but he has not allowed his personal pursuit of clusters and other shiny bits to get in the way of his work helping to lead House Shar Dakhan.

When an opening presented itself, he was quick to take up the mantle of Aedile, and he worked with former Quaestor Darkblade to help prepare himself for the time he took the mantle of Quaestor for himself. He has helped to create fun for others by creating competitions, he has taken part in more than his fair share of competitons, has taken part in many conversations over Telegram with the rest of the Clan Summit, and has proven his gaming prowess again and again.

All this, and he still managed to keep a more than healthy gaming record? I find that thoroughly impressive. I mean, 1161 Clusters of Fire and 714 clusters of Earth, garnered over 85 PVE activities and 25 PVP matches? Even if you overlook the Pendant of Blood he also earned, that is nothing to cough at. There's rarely a gaming competition or a Gorefest which he is not a part of and in fact, he's always trying to get us to game more.

Maybe I am banging on about his gaming a bit too much, as he has written some 1245 words in 3 run-on posts, and another 545 words of fiction over 6 fiction activities. He has kept up with writing reports over the two months he has served as Quaestor to keep his members in the know. He supported his Quaestor well in the 2 months he spent as an Aedile. He has taken part in 67 competitions, organizing 9 and co organizing 9 while encouraging his members to take part.

Take away the 2 Crescents with Diamond Star, the 13 Ruby Crescents with Ruby Stars, the 11 Crescents with Amethyst Stars, the 2 Crescents with Sapphire Stars or his 3 Legions of the Scholars, and what is it that we find? We find a dedicated member of House Shar Dakhan and Clan Naga Sadow. Looking back over the relatively short time that he has been with us since September of last year he has demonstrated great dedication to the Brotherhood and in the last roughly four months he has proven even more his dedication to the Clan. For that work you have the respect and appreciation of the Summit. Please accept this Grand Cross as a symbol of our thanks and I for one look forward to seeing what greater heights you may reach in the days and years to come.

Proconsul of Clan Naga Sadow

Additional reasons

Evelynn aka Aexod has stepped up to the plate big time. When I came into the position of Consul, there was a bit of a shakeup in the Summits. Aexod was a force that I could not ignore. His drive to succeed is a powerful one and it would have been ill of me not to allow Aexod that chance to show me and others just what makes him a fantastic asset.

His activity is over the top, he's always up to get involved. You want some clusters? Ask Aexod. You want some help developing your character? Ask Aexod. You want to have a project? Ask Aexod.

Since his last reward, Aexod has just gobbled through competitions, gaming and more. In our recent New Ties event, Evelynn came second, narrowly missing out on first place. This event saw 37 unique participants from across the Clans. Alongside this, Aexod has participated in 67 competitions, earning 28 Crescents. Additionally, Aexod has garned 1161 Clusters of Fire and 666 Clusters of Earth, which is a truly insane amount over 5 months.

His time spent as Aedile and Quaestor of Shar Dakhan has seen several events run and Aexod's drive to be the best has enabled him to work hard to encourage his members, support them and push them to achieve their goals.

Aexod's choice to replace himself as Aedile has seen Jurdan join us from Scholae Palatinae. That choice has shown to be the right one, as Jurdan has thrived from being given the chance to serve the members and provide content.

Evelynn can be a prickly character at times and he would freely admit that himself, but despite that, he cares. He's a gigantic pain in the butt when he has made up his mind, yet he has also learned a lot from his time in leadership. He has become a better leader over time and I hope that he continues this journey.

Thank you for your hard work over these past few months, Evelynn!

Primary reason

Since his last reward, Malik has worked tirelessly in the background to support the Clan and myself.

Our resident grumpy Dane, has spent 60+ hours working with Locke and myself, discussing and designing Naga Sadow's armed forces. Malik was our army guru, coming up with countless combinations, often on the fly and had multiple spreadsheets set up, just like Locke. While Naga Sadow may have been the last to have chosen their armed forces under the new Possessions, it was in no way a rushed job. The time spent, often talking late at night due to Locke's timezone. The hours spent working out formula and money available for each portion of the fleet/army...

Malik certainly was an asset that I would be stupid not to recognise. Malik is one of our most valued Elders and his opinion is often a divisive one. Yet, his ties to the Clan are strong and he does genuinely care.

In addition to this, Malik has stormed through several of the recent MAA puzzle competitions, often taking first place. Since his last recognition, Malik has participated in 54 competitions, placing in 12 of them. In addition to this, Malik has earned 12 Crescents of varying levels along with 4 Clusters of Fire and 155 Clusters of Earth.

Malik also had a lot of feedback for the recent changes to the Covenant put together by Jac and others. Malik's keen eye saw him provide several points that were recognised and allowed parts of the text to be changed to ensure that these issues were covered.

Malik has also been a font of advice since I've become Consul. I've utilised the resources around myself, having spoken to several of our former Consuls and similar sorts. What worked for them, what didn't work. What ideas could be actioned and how to handle certain problems. Malik has been adroit at providing solutions for several of these issues and is always available to help myself and others, despite how much he pretends to complain about it.

Thank you for your hard work these past few months, Malik. I appreciate the time you take out of your schedule to assist myself and your Clan.

Congratulations!

Additional reasons

Malik is one of those oldies of the Club that are always there when you need them. His promotion assessment, while formidable in itself, doesn't even begin to describe what he brings to the Clan with his presence.

There has not been a chat about any single Club/Clan/House related subject that Malik didn't have an answer for. I've seen him help, and have been helped myself, countless Clan members who stumbled upon a problem. Whether it be lore, administration or just general chit-chat, I know I can always count on him to help out, even if it isn't expected of him.

There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said. Well deserved and long overdue. Congratulations on your Grand Cross!

Primary reason

Since Jurdan's last recognition, he has blitzed the competition and done a crapload of things.

Jurdan has organised 9 competitions, and participated in 103! He has placed in 30 of those, earning 30 Crescents of varying levels. In addition to this, Jurdan has earned 1,070 Clusters of Fire, 472 Clusters of Earth and 2 Pendants of Blood for his gaming activity. Jurdan has also kept Empire at War from being removed from the available games to play, by his sheer love for this ancient game. He's always pestering me to join a game, just so he can roflstomp me to the kerb!

In addition to this, Jurdan has earned 25 Clusters of Ice for the 9,500 words he has written, along with the additional ones he'll earn from his currently running event, Pirates of the Aeotheran. Jurdan has also garnered 29 Clusters of Graphite, being a keen artist. His skills have certainly improved over the years I've known of him.

Jurdan has also served as Battleteam Leader in House Excidium of Scholae Palatinae before joining us as Aedile of Shar Dakhan. He has settled in quickly and shown himself to be a fantastic addition to our team. His need to prove himself, his drive to succeed and the love he has for the club is clear. Jurdan really enjoys his time spent here, which is a great thing to see.

Despite coming in halfway through Week 1 of our recent co-op event with Tarentum, New Ties, Jurdan rallied and participated in every competition possible in order to win 1st place. The guy is a clear powerhouse when it comes to getting competition entries in and I am incredibly proud of him.

While settling in quickly into his new role, Jurdan has taken the time to learn how we do things in Naga Sadow and has been given the chance to run an event, Pirates of the Aeotheran. He has also sat down with myself and spoken to me about his goals and what he wants to achieve in the role.

Jurdan is one of those members, just like his colleague, Aexod, who are extremely competitive. At times in the past, it has affected relationships with other members. I've found that despite only recently joining us, Jurdan has been making an effort to move away from that and while staying competitive in terms of wanting to do his best, he has tried to be a better person.

I'm pleased for Jurdan, I'm extremely happy for him to get this reward and I'm grateful that he decided to give it a chance in Naga Sadow.

Well done, Jurdan on all of your hard work!

Consul of Naga Sadow

Additional reasons

Jurdan is the perfect addition to Clan Naga Sadow, and I am grateful to him for applying for the position of Aedile of Shar Dakhan. Since joining, he has been on an activity spree, whether it be his personal activity or House management.

The quality I admire most in Jurdan is the speed at which he handles tasks provided to him. A lot of this cannot be quantifiable, as there is no written record of it, but since joining I have not had to wait more than 24 hours for anything House related that I have asked from him, whether it be member evaluation, brainstorming for ideas about competitions and events, or creating said events singlehandedly.

In the past month, Jurdan has managed to snatch first place overall in our joint event with Clan Tarentum, organize a House event singlehandedly (graphics, storyline, competitions and all), and holds a top-five spot in the quarterly GMRG leaderboards.

For this reason, and so much more, I am thrilled to recommend Jurdan for a Grand Cross. Congratulations buddy! Keep up the good work!
