Taigikori has been an outstanding Headmaster. He has also served as Magistrate to the Fist. The Shadow Academy runs very well and smoothly under his guidance. A plethora of new courses have been opened under his aegis. He has trained an excellent staff, and Ronovi's solid work under his leadership reflects well on Taigikori's training regimen. The Shadow academy has become more solid, responsive, and offers more to the members under Taigikori's leadership. I've seen the SA grow by leaps and bounds under his guidance. Taigikori is very responsive and helpful in any dealings I have had with him, both as a regular member and as a Clan leader. I can safely say on behalf of Clan Naga Sadow, that Taigikori deserves serious commendation of the highest level for his outstanding performance. Congratulations!!! ~ Macron Goura Sadow, Consul of Clan Naga Sadow
Even with plenty going on in his own personal life, Taig has managed to keep doing his job as Headmaster succesfully. He is constantly improving and expanding the SA courselist, and consistently works with new members to help them along. Member retention is up, and more members have made it through the first few ranks then 2 years before. This is not due to the requirements going down. Those have not changed in difficulty. It is, however, due to the attention people get. Congrats, Taig. Here's to the Grind Path! ~Korras, Master at Arms
Taig's an awesome person to talk to when working on projects. Personally I work for him as a Magistrate and he works for me as my own Magistrate. Although we've officially been on each other's staff's for a short period we have been un-officially attached to one another since I joined the Dark Council. We bounce ideas off one another, trying to figure out the best way for our department to be better at what it does. Prior to ToR's release, my staff was shown the work Araxis and I had been working on for months in preparation for the release. Taig spoke his mind about the plans to make sure that the plan was sound, and pointed out a couple issues that could come up in game. A lot of the time I would call up Taig during the summer to discuss ideas about new Shadow Academy Courses, re-writing the GMRG exam, while he would bounce off ideas he had for the grind path to make it look freaking awesome. Trigger deserves this award, he's a great friend and ally, a hard worker, and will always play the devils advocate for you to make sure your plans are sound and proofed. Congrats man, and well done. ~ OE Fremoc Pepoi Sadow, Fist of the Brotherhood
Taigikori Aybara Dupar has been a wonderful addition to the DC and the Shadow Academy. He has brought a number of new SA courses has worked diligently to find ways to reach the newer members. He is a credit to the club and it is with great pleasure that I recommend him for this sacramental award. Congrats, Taigi! ~Ashia Keibatsu, Aedile House Taldryan
Taig has continued to devote all of his time and energy into improving both the SA and himself. I have seen him do everything in his power to ensure the Shadow Academy is more than just a place for newbies to do some tests in. He has worked to expand and update the courses into ones that can be useful to the DB at large. He has attempted to work the SA into every facet of the DB, making it a staple of life for the club. He has continued, diligently, to ensure the Grind Path is completed with only coding needed to fully have it implemented. As I had said earlier, he has also shown a large willingness to improve himself, so that he can better the club. He has come to me on numerous occasions for guidance on how to improve himself personally and is always willing to help out in any way he can. That was proven in the last GJW where he jumped into any spots where others may not have had time to grade events. Keep up the great work, Taig! ~Halcyon Taldrya, Sith Lord
Taigikori is the perfect Headmaster. I'll let that sit for a moment, as it could stand on it's own as a reccomendation for the Ruby Scepter that I am giving him. He has driven the expansion of the Shadow Academy since he took the office, creating and authoring new courses and degrees. He has worked with me to get more older members interested in the SA again with things like the society and character sheet and possessions integration. He has also taken the lead and done the lion's share of the work on the Grind Path, a new methodology to set our hooks into the new members better, to try to increase member retention. He is where the rubber meets the road for many of our new members. And he has done it seamlessly. Taigikori, you are an inspiration to many of us, and I hope to be here long enough to reward you for it in the future. ~Muz Ashen, Dark Lord of the Sith

Usually, Ruby Sceptres are reserved for mentors of the brotherhood. Timeros is the model example of a mentor not only in Arcona, but in every field he sets his mind to. His work as Rollmaster has been trend-setting, his efforts in the ACC have revived an otherwise failing institution and in every other avenue of activity he takes a unique, trend-setting approach.
First, his work as Rollmaster: During his tenure of 9 months and counting as RM for first House Arcona, then Clan Rollmaster heâs sent out roughly one hundred welcome emails, and over half of these mails have been sent no later than sixteen minutes after the member joins. This is astounding. He has helped innumerable members get on their feet and oversees all the Journeyman Promotions within Arcona, having submitted 41 promotion requests himself, and recommended a further 6 to the summit. He has also reworked promotion templates for all of the Journeyman which have become standard issue within the Clan. On top of this, with Celahir, heâs also created an excel document to further automate the Journeyman which essentially boils down to a Grind Path which speeds up the Journeyman promotion process exponentially. This is in the process of being converted into a .exe program which will be able to be distributed to all leaders on the DB, allowing them to track journeyman activity and action promotions efficiently.
Next up, his ACC work. Where to beginâ¦he has personally graded thirteen membersâ attempts at qualification, writing no less than 2000 words per participant. He has also judged a further five ACC Quick Skirmish matches, all with a far greater amount of detail than any other Judge, and has opened around a hundred matches. He has also deleted about forty matches that were timed out. Finally, he helped some people find appropriate opponents for their Qualification attempts. Further initiatives within the ACC he has performed/am performing are: When the site hiccupped and made us incapable of Judging, he was the one to hog-tie Orv into fixing it, he took the initiative in having the automated ACC notifier brought into existence, he took the initiative in altering the weapon selection rules, he took the initiative in suggesting a policy change that led to the creation of the current Genesis Combine system, he was the first to suggest the 2v2 ladder, together with Viv and Halc, he helped create rules for custom lightsabers for high-ranking ACCers, he was the one who thought up, wrote, and implemented the ReQualification rules. He did the Hall change, resulting in a far larger amount of challenges under the new rules, he created the Matchmaker system, which has already resulted in about a dozen Judged battles within the first month of its operation: as many as the previous five months put together. In addition, he helped change some of the reward policies to make it easier to gain Pendants to further promote ACC activity. Together with myself, he innovated the ACCâs early warning system, and he created attending rule changes about timeouts. He has found and trained up a new and functional staff to deal with our increased system pressures.
Other than his ACC and RM work, Tim and Celahir discovered a serious error in the Prestige system and informed Orv, gaining them both a Steel Cross. He did not spend that much time in the position, but was briefly Praetor to the Voice. And assisted Vodo with several policy decisions during his short time there. He created the Master Promotion proposal. While it was not successful, it did bring together every single House in the Brotherhood under a single banner, which is a rare commodity at best and demonstrates leadership even if the idea itself was not approved of.
This has taken over a page to write so far, so Iâm going to let his activity speak for itself. The man is an activity tank, and it doesnât look like anything can stop him. Heâll be on the DC before long if he keeps up his record of brilliance, and his ID line should reflect this. The man deserves a Sacramental, and definitely deserves more than a Sapphire Blade. Well done, Tim. Youâve done us proud.
- Sashar Arconae
It's not very often that we find someone with the continual drive to make the Dark Brotherhood a better place, but I believe we have truly found this in Timeros.
Within Arcona alone, Tim stands as at the vanguard of activity, greeting every new member promptly and maintaining an ATR for everyone in the Clan. Without Tim's organization skills, I'm not sure where we'd be today, and I think I speak for everyone when I say that when he goes on vacation, we are well and truly lost.
In the DB as a whole, Tim works tirelessly to promote the ACC, and he not only works to make the ACC Staff better, but works to make the judging itself better and more detailed. I have never met a more unbiased and impartial judge, and he'd be the first to tell a Clanmate that they sucked. He grades everyone fairly and evenly, and if he finds fault within his own Staff, he corrects it. As Praetor to the Voice, I have worked with him on my projects and provided feedback for his own projects, and the work that he puts into this club shows.
Dralin Fortea
Tim is in his own league of awesome. Not only is his activity above the mark, but he is a consistent workhorse, always looking to further the development of the younger members in his capacity as Rollmaster. The development of the Master-Student Excel script and his subsequent plans to make an executable file with the help of some experienced coders for Dark Brotherhood-wide distribution exhibits his devotion to the club. He has always been a team player and he goes beyond the parameters of his positions to help members with issues ranging from ACC tips and Journeymen progression queries to fictional development cases. He is one of the Dark Brotherhoodâs few polymaths and even this title is not enough to fully justify the extent of his capacity.
Approachable, understanding and always willing to be of assistance, Timmy has not only proven himself as an inspirational and incredibly patient member, but he has shown that leadership extends beyond the menial duties of day-to-day administration. He has shown, time and time again, that his respect and dedication for the general membership of the Dark Brotherhood has not been missed. He has constructed an interesting and insightful promotion recommendation fiction that covers all the basics with Journeymen requests and adds another dimension to engage the recipient member. He is the first port of call for many within the ranks of the Dark Brotherhood, especially Journeymen looking for an experienced and affable individual. This is not only present within his tenure as Arconan Rollmaster; his base of influence and trust extends throughout the very foundation within the Dark Brotherhood, in small part due to his time within the ranks, but mostly because of the time he has for other members. He always puts people before himself and has often spent hours helping me personally and many, many more with other members.
As the Combat Master, Tim is in a prime position. His influence, his easygoing nature and his acceptance of ulterior trains of thought shows that he is a mentor, a friend and a role model to a myriad of people. This is not enough, however; he deserves recognition for his abundance of work and his grounding as a foundation within the Dark Brotherhood. Primarily, however, he is a mentor. It is this, above all else, that justifies the award of a Ruby Sceptre.
Timmy, I am elated to have been part of the process to award you for your considerable dedication. A big congratulations, you more than earned it.
Wuntila Zratian Entar.
Well what I can say about Timmy really, from my experience with working alongside him he is a dedicated and motivated member of Clan Arcona. He is always trying to improve things inside of the clan and as well as inside of the Combat Center.
Let me start with Timâs hard work as the job of Rollmaster to Clan Arcona, he is always trying to drive the new members and make them work towards moving up the journeyman ladder. He is always willing to answer any question as is always a helpful face for the new members inside of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. Overall he is a inspiration to the new members, focusing on helping everyone else he never looks for personal gain instead enjoys seeing the younger members moving up inside of the brotherhood.
Now onto his second thing that makes him stand out as an extraordinary member of the brotherhood, since he has been Combat Master of the Antei Combat Center I have seen more members participating in and getting involved in it. As well as this I have noticed changes taking place and things working a lot smoother overall his hard work is showing in all areas that he is currently involved in.
Overall I believe that Timeros deserves this reward, his hard work and focus on others provides younger and older members with inspiration. Thank you for all your hard work inside of the brotherhood and you deserve this reward bro.
Cethgus Entar
Timeros Caesus Entar Arconaeâ¦the name itself just has weight to it. And not only because the name itself is cool, or because the Clan Title of Arcona is attached to it, but because of the person that the name belongs to.
Timeros is one of the most hardworking, friendly, funny, and consistently active members that I have ever met in the Brotherhood, and the best Rollmaster that I have ever had. He reaches out to the membership of Arcona, whether youâre new to the Clan or a veteran, always looking for ways to try and help you, whether it is with some âtechnicalâ error, like getting onto mIRC or something that has to do with your character.
A bit on his mad Rollmastery skills; I think it is truly safe to say that Timeros has not only the fastest, but best worded, welcome e-mail that he sends out to the new membership of Clan Arcona. The e-mail, even though itâs merely copied and pasted and sent to the new member, always sounds fresh and new and the way Tim has crafted it makes the new member want to stay in the Brotherhood for more than a day, it makes him/her want to take the Test of Lore, and then log onto mIRC, and then meet the leadership, and so on.
And besides being one awesome Rollmaster, we cannot forget that Timeros is our honorable Combat Master, though honorable is too casual of a word. I think âesteemedâ is a better term, because in my mind, esteemed is defined as someone who is held in the highest regard by his/her peers, subordinates, and superiors, because of the work that that person has done for an organization.
I bet if the there was a Brotherhood version of Websterâs Dictionary, you would find Timerosâ mug right next to the word âesteemedâ, because it describes him perfectly. Timeros loves the Antei Combat Centre like a mother loves her own child; there is never a time when weâre on IRC together that Timeros is not doing something related to the Centre.
This includes judging a myriad of battles, sending out critiques on said battles, coaching and training his Staff members, updating the Centreâs rules and regulations (as seen in the Timeout/Extension update, released about a week or two ago). But Tim doesnât just work on fixing or updating whatâs already established within the Combat Centre, he brings out new stuff too...
Ala the Matchmaker System, which, as Tim himself so delicately describes, as the âBrotherhoodâs version of e-Harmony, where you can set up on blind dates to beat the crap out of each otherâ.
In addition to everything I just mentioned and detailed above, Timeros Caesus Entar Arconae is one of the most, no probably the most, selfless Brotherhood member I, and many other Dark Brethren, have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and then later, the great honor of working beside.
Many of us, me included (both as an Aedile and Rollmaster) have been taken under Timerosâ wing, being tutored in the proper ways to lead a unit of the Brotherhood. And because of that tutoring, Clan Arcona is what it is today, because if you ever took Timeros out of the mix, Arcona would be a lot darker of a place (no pun intended on being Dark Jedi).
In closing, Timeros never asks for reward, never asks for recognition. He works for the good of his Family (the Entars), his Clan (Arcona), and the Brotherhood as a whole without any thought of what heâll get at the end of it all.
Well Tim, we donât give a flip if you donât ask, because weâre still giving you something thatâs so very long overdue. Congratulations my mentor and friendâ¦itâs been an honor to serve with you!
Talos Erinos
Since taking over as Combat Master Timeros has re-energized the ACC. Although he has introduced a number of changes to the ACC, the bulk of the DB is very much in favour of these changes. They have updated the ACC so that it is relevant to the current membership and has brought back a lot of the fun and spontaneity to the platform. He has constantly looked for ways to improve all aspects of the ACC, from the rules to how the staff operates and judges. On top of all that he is a leader when it comes to activity, doing much of the heavy lifting when it comes to administration, while teaching and helping the newer staff members. The ACC is very much in good hands, and Tim is more than deserving of this award for all his efforts up until now.
Halcyon Taldrya
If there is just one member I would finger as my Brotherhood stalwart, itâd be Timeros. So often in my time in Arcona, events that he would coordinate proved to be successful; heâd carefully push his views on his fellow leaders, each member in the House a vital resource. Filling each hole I presented, from battleteam rosters to competition participation, Timeros would then take it upon himself, generously, to change our policy, away from a traditional, flawed system to one of much greater effectiveness, all while mocking gay sex and stupidity in #arcona.
Most days arenât walks in the park; Tim runs laps in that park, making himself master of every situation, always decisive, a shining example of leadership. As my brother, both of the same family, Tim is quick to criticize philosophies he hates, doing what he can to change them. Tim is the driving force behind many projects, the reason why so many reforms in the Clan and ACC, many just young ideas with great potential, have materialized. Boys and girls, pay attention, because Timeros is onto something. Fear Clan Arcona, if just because we have Timeros.
Legorii Entar
Timeros; a man who seems to defy all expectations with his commitment, work ethic and general good humour. A leader who shows both the ability to be hard when he needs to, but also knows when a gentler approach is needed. Tim is a mentor to all of Arcona, a person for even the highest ranked member to turn to and get help from, without any snide comments about how stupid or useless a question might be. Not only is Timeros the man who answers the questions, he is also the driving force behind the constant improvements being shown by new members in the Clan. When a member joins, they are swiftly greeted by Timeros who subsequently helps to guide them along the path up the ranks, supporting them along the way and ensuring that as soon as they are deserving of a promotion or other reward, they receive it. Honestly, Timeros has been a godsend for myself and Arcona as a whole. He is truly one of the best leaders I have had the honour to work with and without a doubt the best mentor I have seen working in the Brotherhood to date. Tim, you complete me. You fully deserve this one, enjoy it.

I've known Ronovi for years now, and if there's one word I could use to sum up what she brings to the DB, it would be "progress." Everywhere she went, she introduced changes that would better whichever group she happened to be in charge of at the time. When she took over for Arcona Signum, she changed it into a very active Journeymen-training group. Members walked away confident in their writing abilities, and used their talents for the betterment of Tarentum. When she became Aedile, and then Quaestor, of House Cestus, she turned an inactive House that was the joke of Tarentum (commonly known as Cesspool) into the most active, fictionally-developed House we had. After serving with distinction as Quaestor, and later Proconsul under Oberst, she became Consul of Tarentum, and that's when her real work began.
Tarentum has long had a history of being insular and xenophobic. Members hardly ever went to other IRC channels, the other Houses were regularly mocked for no reason other than not being Tarentum, and sometimes members went out of their way to cause problems for the other Houses. When Ronovi took over as Consul, the did what no other Tarentae has done in a very long time, if ever: she extended an olive branch to the other Clans. She worked hard to promote inter-Clan cooperation and built friendships with the other leaders that would last past her own tenure of leadership. After the Clans got downgraded to Houses, she continued her work on both creating a more cohesive Tarentum and forging us into a group that can work well with others.
Toward the end of her tenure as Quaestor of Tarentum, Ronovi took up work as the Praetor to the Headmaster. Despite her heavy workload trying to better Tarentum, Ronovi did what she could the better the entire DB through the Shadow Academy. With her work for the upcoming Grind Path, new members will be even more prepared for the DB, and they won't have the waiting periods many of us have gone through in order to get promoted. This in itself will prove instrumental in membership retention.
Essentially, Ronovi, even after stepping down as Quaestor, is a voice of progression in the DB, and I hope that voice never goes silent.

Ronovi has been a solid contributor to the Brotherhood for a long time now... Not only as consul of Tarentum, where she worked tirelessly to develop a storyline to motivate members to activity and generate a fictional plot for the house to follow, but also in her work with the Headmaster's office, where she had focused her attention on enhancing the Shadow Academy with new courses and working on the vaunted Grind Path as well as helping Taigikori with fictional backing. Her skills are robust and she has soldiered on to work despite great adversity. Most importantly, ROnovi does this work without expecting a reward, which tells me that she is doing it for the love of the Brotherhood, for the love of the Work, and these are terribly rare attributes in the club. She genuinely desires to make things better for the club, not out of self-interest or wish for rank or reward. That distinction ingratiates her into the heart of the Brotherhood. In recognition of that, please accept this as a token of our esteem and appreciation. You've more than deserved it, Ronovi. ~Muz Ashen, Dark Lord of the Sith

Ronovi Tavisaen. Probably one of Tarentum's greatest leaders over the past few years. Even so much that she's now a member of the Tarentae. Starting off on the summit as an Aedile while it was still a Clan, Ronovi worked her way up the ladder until she reached Consul. Something she had probably envisioned in the entirety of her leadership career. Unlike leaders of old, however, Ronovi took being Tarentum's leader one step further. She constantly focused on inciting activity, pushing the Clan forward fictionally, and even made relationships with other leaders outside of her Clan; to try and get past this ridiculous notion that's plagued this club for a while; 'one for all'. These relationships blossomed into friendships, something that was equally rare between the leaders of different Houses/Clans. So much so, to the point where she was absolutely estatic when I came to her and asked her if she would be willing to write a recommendation for Sid's Obelisk Exarch promotion.
Although I am a leader of a unit outside hers, I have studied her growth as a leader. I'm impressed. It's rare that you see a leader actually try to improve the unit itself, rather then it's fictional aspects or activity levels. Ronovi worked tirelessly to provide the best for her members, pushing the now-House forever forward. During Burden, Distrust, and Loathing Ronovi was booming with activity, ensuring that she had her fictional pieces done on-time, the submissions she was assigned graded, and that everything was flowing wonderfully. She put a lot of work into it, and it really showed. Her work as CON continued when the Clans were downgraded to Houses, leading Tarentum as it's Quaestor. Ronovi Tavisaen continues to inspire new members, which is a rare quality that is long sought after.
While I haven't paid much attention to her work in the Shadow Academy, I'm well aware that she works hard. When she first got the position, I was somewhat skeptical; Leading a House and helping the Headmaster to oversee members of the Brotherhood's training. That's a big thing. I was very concerned that she may burn herself out, and that we'd be sort a Tarentum Quaestor as well as a Praetor to the Headmaster. Fortunately for us, Ronovi was well aware of her limits, and chose to step down as Quaestor when RL got tough; instead choosing to devote her attention to the Brotherhood. When Taigikori steps down from his post, I have no doubt in my mind that Ronovi will be right there ready to swoop in and fill it before the seat goes cold. For all of her hard work and dedication to both Tarentum and the Brotherhood at large, I hereby put forth my recommendation for a Ruby Scepter in the name of Ronovi Tavisaen Tarentae.

I first 'formally' met Ronovi during a time when our members, especially leadership, had been encouraged to abandon insular thinking and reach out to the whole of the Brotherhood to ensure our collective survival and success. I can honestly say that I have come away from the experience of working with her a better member and a more effective leader. Ronovi was responsible for the impetus behind the organization of the 'Distrust, Burden and Loathing' Tri-House Feud between Naga Sadow, Tarentum and Taldryan. Her enthusiasm spread to myself and my Taldryan counterpart, and it was through her efforts that the event was such a success. Ronovi's conduct during the Feud, with her encouragement and organizational skills and willingness to host nearly the entirety of the event, was inspirational to be sure. But, it was her conduct AFTER the Feud that proved to have the most impact on me. Her House did not perform as well as it could have, but in no ways did she berate or belittle her charges: she chose to see the situation as an opportunity for improvement, and led her House to do the same. To me, this speaks to a mature attitude that a leader must have in order to make sure their people are not discouraged and are focused on things that bring success. Additionally, although I have no direct dealings with Ronovi regarding her Shadow Academy work, I am sure that her passion for service has led to the positive changes within that institution, just as I'm sure that if anyone can replace our current Headmaster, it is she. Ronovi's example is surely one to follow, and therefore it is without hesitation and with no reservation that I lend my name to the list recommending her for this award. Congratulations, Ro!
Tsaitenomo
I've known Ronovi for nearly four years. We joined within a week of one another and rose through the ranks, and positions of leadership, together. Throughout her entire DB career Ronovi has striven to improve her house, the club, and individual members. I have learned much of what I know about the Brotherhood from her during our tenure as Tar CON / PCON. She's been a stalwart friend and ally even now that we're in different houses. Being the Praetor to the Headmaster she has found a niche where she can apply her interest in elevating individual members and offering continuous opportunities to be active. Nobody in the DB is more deserving of this award. Congratulations Ronovi.

Here's what I have to say about Ronovi :)
When I joined the DB, I was a bit intimidated. I knew going into this that I'd be one of very few women in the organization. I became a lot more comfortable when I found out that Ronovi, who was in a leadership position, is female and had been doing very well. After seeing Ronovi's example as both a leader and a prolific member of Tarentum's fiction community, I was happy to be entrusted with the responsibility of founding a new battleteam (the Reckoners) and helping found a new house (Kaerner).
Founding the Reckoners was very difficult for me. I've never been someone incredibly comfortable with coming up with new ideas. Ronovi challenged me to create an original team concept and pushed me into creating some of the best fiction I've ever written. "Good enough" is rarely satisfactory for Ronovi, and through her urging I feel the Reckoners became one of the most original and kickass BT's in the DB.
I've had to step back from the DB quite a bit. I'm in the last semester at college and will be getting my Bachelor's in English on May 6. Between my thesis and my internship, I just don't have time for a lot of DB involvement. But I still read all the DB emails and have seen Ronovi continue to lead valiantly even as Tarentum was downgraded to a House and team involvement became small. She's done a great job and I wouldn't still be hanging around if not for her.
It's awesome to see a strong female leader in a male-dominated club like this. :)

Well, Ronovi has encouraged my activity within the Brotherhood. She's always willing to talk to me when she's on, whether about DB-stuff or real life stuff. She has given me advice whenever she could, and just listened to me rant when she couldn't. To me, Ronovi is more than a master in a club or a good friend; she has become a real life mentor and more of an older sister to me. I can tell that she not only wants me to be successful in the DJB, but she cares about my overall well-being. I know that she'll probably say that seeing someone's success is enough of a reward for her, but I believe, as do most Tarenti, that she deserves a lot more than that.
GRD Syrna Valkiss (Krath)/TYR/Tarentum
DC-SP/Cr-1A-1S-2E-1T
It's sometimes hard for me to put into words exactly how I feel about specific people, or what I think about their contributions. While some would describe me as "eloquent," or "verbose," or maybe even "too damn yappy," there are times when simplicity counts, and I whittle my thoughts on someone, or their actions, into as few words as possible. With Ronovi, that all gets whittled down into "Tarentae" or "friend."
Ronovi spent a great deal of time in leadership of Tarentum, working as both a leading member, and a positioned veteran in several levels of Clan and then House leadership. While she is often critical of herself, she is also sometimes too criticized for what contributions people actually let her make. Some of the work she put forward was, in hindsight, not actually allowed to blossom fully because it met with stiff resistance. And yet, this happens all the time. The mark of actual leadership is not being able to make things happen without resistance, but yet, to make things happen despite resistance. And, in some cases, the greater the resistance, the greater the reward.
Above all else, as a leader, Ronovi has been completely dedicated to Tarentum, and seeing it remain a successful, living unit, and its membership gain trust and respect for each other, and a bond that will never fail. She also recognized the ties that Tarentum has elsewhere throughout the Brotherhood, and how those bonds that stretch across House and Clan lines really perpetuate the life that Tarentum has within itself. No one House or Clan can stand alone; we exist as a mutual, living entity together, or we die as separate, isolated individuals. Ronovi understood that, and wanted to make it a commitment to ensure that Tarentum was never isolated from the rest of the Brotherhood.
At times, Ronovi was assisted where possible, but there were many instances when, honestly, Ronovi was trying to lead Tarentum alone. The reasons behind that can be debated for days or weeks, but the end result is, Ronovi remained dedicated even when she believed herself completely alone, completely void of friends and allies who might assist her. She was not afraid of tackling challenges as an individual, though she always sought to band together as a Tarentum family and move towards activity and progress as a whole.
Ronovi sought to inspire changes within Tarentum, both fictionally, as well as functionally. She wanted to make Tarentum focus on competition and friendship, activity and rivalry, even, across Clan or House lines. While each individual competition speaks for itself, Ronovi was consistently trying to drum up activity in any way possible. She was generally consistent with reports, consistent with keeping Tarentum updated on Brotherhood happenings, and trying to make things work.
Ronovi has made an impression upon some of the newer, or newest members of Tarentum, and I believe the lasting impression she makes upon them far outweighs the impression that I can pass off about her. The fact is, while Ronovi and I weren't always on the best of speaking terms, we have always been friends. Friends fight, friends go through rough patches, or amazing periods of camaraderie. And yet, they always remain friends, barring exceptional circumstances.
Ronovi has always been someone I see as a Tarentae friend, and a Brotherhood peer. She is one of Tarentum's best, dedicated writers, and even after she has moved on from leadership, to be molded into a role for the Shadow Academy, she continues to try and maintain her presence, and her leadership role, in Tarentum. She is completely dedicated to Tarentum, to what it stands for, and acts as a beacon to those who have moved on.
for their own reasons as to what a dedicated valiant member of this House or Clan (depending on status) is capable of when they seek to rise above struggle and work, and actively focus on building up the good cause, which is the future for the membership of this Club. People can learn from the example Ronovi sets, no matter the opinion they have of her. And yet, I believe there is generally the opinion that Ronovi is a good member, and a good leader when placed in the opportune position. She has a role to fill, both in Tarentum and the Brotherhood, that will rely on her for years to come.
To Ronovi herself, I have only a few words for you. Sincerely, thank you for your effort,
my friend.

She's been there for me at a time when I needed a Praetor the most. After a trial and horrible error with my first, she took up the mantle with uncanny ease. I've tasked her with being the Director of Shadow Academy fiction, which has in turn had her pen been used in pre-Vendetta fiction enjoyed by the masses. Her most recent work with the future Jedi, Liu Van Dae, got more than a few heads to turn at the way she writes her characters. I'm not one to fluff up a recc with useless air to make it appear more than it is, but know this: Ronovi is my right hand, and has a say in every Shadow Academy doing. Some are still secret, so I can't disclose her full works until they've gone public. An outstanding educator, she's there to pick up the slack when other Professors fall behind, she's also an amazing friend to most of the staff. On top of it all she writes Shadow Academy exams for featuring within the organization itself. I know I did the right thing when picking her as my Praetor, as we're no doubt looking at the future first female Headmaster. It is for these reasons that I recommend that my Praetor be awarded with the Ruby Scepter. Congratulations.

Although Windos and I have worked together for many years he has always managed to keep his activity (and creativity) up. This was especially true during the creation, and first few months, of House Odan-Urr. He was a true asset in the houseâs development, participating in virtually every step and taking occasionally taking the lead, coming up with key ideas, such as our Jedi Library and Tythonian Space Militia. He was the first member of House Odan-Urr and itâs unlikely the unit would have been such a success without him.
However, his activity during Fall of 2010 did not only include fictional development. While in Arcona, Windos won himself 6 Seals of Defiance and two novae, in both fiction and gaming. This time is dotted with a smattering of crescents, clusters of fire, and two merit awards, displaying Windosâ staunch devotion to everyday activity in addition to what was expected of him as a developer of a new house, and Wiki Tribune. During his time as Aedile Windos was a valuable asset. His reports were always on timeâearly actually, he ran a very popular competition, created our Wiki standardization graphics (both category images and Order templates), and kept several of our most important Wiki articles up to date. Though I am sad to lose him, real life definitely should come first.
Ji
Quaestor of House Odan-Urr
There has never been a single individual in the wiki's history with as powerful and distinct an impact as Windos has had. Few can fathom the amount of work he put into the wiki, turning it from a mere repository of information into the powerhouse of activity and development it is today. One of his many projects on the wiki was his bot. This bot was able to scour every page of the wiki, seeking out and fixing common spelling mistakes, and attempting to bring every page into alignment with the general Wiki requirements. This addition alone created a far more appealing wiki to read.
The projects he has run has transformed the look for the wiki, standardizing templates, developing tools for Clan/House wiki workers, just to name a few. This impact on the wiki has been astonishing, and to maintain such activity over the length of time he spent as Tribune is nothing less than spectacular.
Thank you, Windos!

I concur with the statements above, made by Ji and Archangel. Windos has been nothing less then perhaps the most active, and dedicated, wikipedian of the DJB Wiki and a great Aedile for the new House. While I could go on for days on the amount of work that he has completed for the wiki, I think that Iâll just cover a decent chunk of it. When Windos first became Tribune, he brought an activity like no other to the table. However, unlike like many past Tribunes, he maintained that activity throughout his tenure. He completely restructured the categories, streamlining them for ease of access; something that I will continue to improve on. Perhaps one of his biggest projects, the DJBWiki Awards, brought new innovation to the wiki. It allowed wikipedians to be awarded for their work (and for every five DJBWiki Awards, they also earned themselves a Dark Side Scroll). I still have Windos running this project as a member of my staff, as no one knows them better. Heâll be instrumental in the near future in helping create guidelines for these.
Heâs made over 32,000 edits, an absolutely ridiculous amount for any wikipedian. Windos has created several tutorials adapted from those on Wookieepedia and THEWIKI, in an attempt to assist newer members when there isnât always a member of the staff on IRC. Over the course of his term, heâs enforced using the âShow Previewâ feature, as well as use of Image Categories. He even tweaked the account creation process, so that the
{
{welcome}} template was automatically placed on the new accountâs talk page when it was processed. The former Tribune served as a strong safeguard from any spambots, deleting roughly 700 of them. With his bot, heâs cleaned up many articles, made mountains of link suggestions, changed all links to Wookieepedia and dossiers to [[starwars:link]] and [[dossier:#]], and even kept track of statistics throughout 2010.
Although it was not required of him, he stepped up to start an annual report for 2010 half way through the year, utilizing the statistics gathered by his bot. This made the task of finishing a report for GM Muz much easier, and allowed for a good glance at the progress the Wiki has made within the last year. Donât worry, Iâm almost done. In short, Windos has been the greatest asset we at the Wiki could ever hope for; and it brings us great pleasure that he still serves as a member of the Wiki Staff. This was just a small list of the things that he has managed to accomplish during his time as Tribune; there's just too much to cover. This is just a small token of our appreciation for the work he has done, and it is my honor to be recommending this Ruby Sceptre to such a fine and valuable member. Thank you for everything, Windos. We love you.

<p>Since the day I have joined the Brotherhood and at least Taldryan there have always one Leader besides Shazâair Taldrya, Krath Epis Vodo Biask Taldrya.
Vodo Biask Taldrya was the current Aedile of House Ektrosis when I joined the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and the first Person I have made contact with, giving me advices on how life works within the Brotherhood. From that point on he was the person I have talked most with when I got problems or needed advice until he stepped up to the Position as Aedile of Taldryan.
During the time as Consul of Clan Taldryan he managed to keep the members active with various Competitions like his âWho got the skillzâ competition (a 4-week long competition where he gave us tasks to fulfil in different fields of actions like connecting dots in the Clan-Wiki or flash-gaming) and lead the Clan through the last Rite of Supremacy as well as the AWOL-check this summer together with the rest of the Clan/House Summit.
After the downgrading of the Clans to Houses he stepped down from Consul of Clan Taldryan to the position of Aedile of House Taldryan and just now stepped down from the Summit to a regular member giving a âfresh-bloodâ the chance to make his place as leader of this great house.
Overall I can only tell that Krath Epis Vodo Biask Tadrya is one of the greatest Persons I have ever met within the Brotherhood. And I hope he will stay within the House for as long as possible as a member who can advice all future leaders if there is a need for it. --- DJK Rian Aslar, Tetrarch in Taldryan --- <br>
Every member of Taldryan, new and old, has met Vodo at some point. He's a hard guy to miss with all the work he does, and he's one of the hardest workers Taldryan has ever seen. He has shown tremendous loyalty to both Taldryan, and his duties as a whole these past six years for the Brotherhood. When I first joined Tal three years ago, Vodo was my Aedile. He served in leadership almost constantly up until his recent retirement. Three years? That's a long time to lead. He got me started, and made sure I was more then welcome in the House. While I wasn't the... best, member back then, I appreciated every little thing he did for me. When I left, he continued to be friendly when others weren't. I made some pretty bad choices in the Brotherhood, but instead of putting me down Vodo was always kind. Sincere. When I came back to Tal the first time (yeah yeah. :P) and took on Battle Team Leader of Hex, Vodo returned to mentoring me on what to do, what not to do, how to handle situations, what was expected of me. Everything vital that a leader should know. But it wasn't just me that he mentored, no. Instead, he also helped along other members of his House, and Clan as a whole (while we were a Clan, that is); Sidarace, Tirano, Zasati, and even Lokasena. Hell, he even served on the Shadow Academy staff for at least a year. Vodo had an impact on us all, and helped shape the members we are today. While some of us aren't around any longer, those that remain are great members. When I came back... Again... Almost a year ago, Vodo was there again. This time serving as Consul. It didn't surprise me in the least. When I took on Aedile of Ektrosis - a position he himself held when I first joined - he was one of two members that I looked up to for advice on everything leadership, and he was more then happy to help me. We worked closely on a couple projects, including the re-haul of the Kr'Tal System; Taldryan's Home. I talk to him every time I see him/have the chance. If anyone should be considered my 'master' within the Dark Brotherhood, it's Vodo. I wouldn't have made it these three long years without him. Therefore, it is my greatest privilege to be one of the several members recommending Vodo Biask Taldrya for a Ruby Scepter. Congratulations, Vodo. You've earned it buddy. --- SW Zaren Morgoth --- <br>
Vodo rocks. thrust --- <3 Shad --- <br>
Vodo joined Clan Taldryan a few months before I took over as Consul. At the time, Taldryan was in a major slump, and it was going to be my challenge to boost the Clan back to it's former self. Luckily, I was surrounded by active, motivated, and talented members who were eager to help the Clan in any way they could. Vodo was one of those members. Over his years in Clan Taldryan, he has been a constant active force, first seeking to learn, then to participate, and finally to lead. During his time in Taldyran, Vodo has successfully served as Tetrarch, Aedile, Quaestor, Proconsul, and Consul - literally every step of the leadership ladder, a feat few people can match. During his time as a leader, he instructed countless new and existing members in the ways of the Brotherhood and Clan Taldryan. He lead the Clan successfully through both major competitions and normal day-to-day activities, always seeking to educate and motivate his members. The Ruby Scepter is given to Brotherhood members who have demonstrated excellent abilities as a mentor - Vodo has spent years mentoring innumerable members of Clan Taldryan as he moved through it's leadership ranks. I can think of no one who deserves this award more than Vodo. --- JST Kir Katarn --- <br>
Vodo was brought onto the Clan Summit by myself after having served with distinction in Ektrosis. I needed someone who knew the Clan and would be able to work with everyone, as I knew I would not be in the position for any extended period of time. As such, he was a natural selection to take on the Consulship during what would become a trying time in both the Clan and the DB as a whole. Although things could have completely fallen apart, Vodo managed to keep the Clan together and push everyone to within a hairs-breadth of claiming the last RoS after we had been written off as past our prime. On top of that he continued to be a figure to look up to, an example of the changing culture that tried to be inclusive, rather than exclusive. The job of Consul is in many ways a thankless one, but Vodo did it with aplomb, the Clan (and now House) still going strong and a vital part of the DB. He has continued with Taldryan legacy of excellence and has passed on the baton to a younger generation that he has helped mold into productive members of the club. Congratulations Vodo, and well deserved
--- DJM Halcyon Taldrya, Voice of the Brotherhood --- <br>
If there were to be one member that embodies what Taldryan stands for in its ethic of how hard work and respect always come first, how building relationships with members in Taldryan and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood should be first nature, how mentoring a younger generation in the ways of this same ethic and training future leaders should be your goal no matter how much work it takes, that member would be embodied wholly by Vodo Biask Taldrya. Rarely are there members who serve from the ground up like Vodo has; starting at Battleteam Leader followed by Aedile (which he did twice), Quaestor all in House Ektrosis, and then branching out from the House Summit into the Clan Summit as Proconsul and finally serving as Consul for nigh-a full year.
All of these positions spanning the amount of over three-years, only a short time in between these positions did he ever take a break from leading. Vodo took the idea of leading %100 serious, never letting something slow down his pace, and there was rarely a time when I saw him slow down from his laborious duties â duties which he considered normal and completely unquestionable. These duties are compromised of in his three years of service; running competitions for his unit, reports ranging from 2-3 a month, announcements to his House/Clan in between reports, running Run-Ons, planning and allowing members to work on projects for their promotion requirements, working with members on their promotion requirements, keeping morale in his Unit on the high, mentoring members to eventually be in the shoes he was in, working on projects for the House/Clanâs back-stories as well as his own character fiction in which he aided members in developing their own characters. The list goes on, and were it not for formalities sake I would elaborate even further.
This member has served as not just a leader, but a personal mentor to many in Taldryan, and that same mentorship reaching out to others in various units. Within Talâs grasp Vodo took many members under his wing, ranging from Zaren Morgoth (Anubis), to Tirano Yamayura, and Myself. Each of the members stated have held positions in leadership and have given their own spin on mentor-ship to other members. On a personal note, I myself was trained in the ways of REAL Leadership by none other than Mr. Biask. Were it not for his strict and well thought out training on how to lead by example and with integrity, I would not be where I am now: Leading Taldryan as he has done himself.
Average Merit medals are not so hard to come by with a little push and some gumption to get things done, but a Ruby Scepter is another matter. This awards does not come into the hands of those who have not slaved effortlessly for an extended amount of time and through many eras of slow/busy activity. Nor is it even considered plausible to be given to a member of average or even above-average standard in leadership and what it truly means to be the leader of a Clan/House by being that Mentor and Guide that is so lacking in most leaders today. If I had one inchon of doubt that Vodo was opposite of those things I just mentioned, then I would not be writing this recommendation right now. Having served for a small time myself and now in the seat of Quaestor of Taldryan, I have an understanding of what it truly takes to do what Vodo did so effortlessly and flawlessly for so long.
It is not enough to say that Vodo was a great leader or a great mentor or a great friend; as he was and is more than that. He truly is one of the few deserving of the title as a Son of Taldrya, along with the greats: Duga, Kir, Jac and Alanna. Vodo shares something with the members just mentioned and that is the need for quality and excellence in everything he does, whether it be personal or at a large scale for the DB. Stepping down from Consul showed his maturity in realizing his time was not to continue leading at the forefront, rather to take a seat back and let others take over where he had so loved to be.
I would issue for Vodo to take a step back and view the vast and imoveable amount he has done for Taldryan, and ultimately the Dark Jedi Brotherhood; but that is not Vodo, nor will it ever be. He saw mentoring and passing on the torch from the day he stepped up into leadership as part of his job â which should be the inital attitude EVERY leader should take. Anyone striving to have an impact on their surrounding and the DB should look no further than Vodo Biask Taldrya, Krath Epis and standing Son of Taldrya, former Consul, Proconsul, Quaestor, Aedile, Battleteam Leader, Eclectic Pedagogue, holder of 3 Seals of Loyalty, and friend to tons within the DB, mentor to dozens. If Vodo is not deserving of this Ruby Scepter, then let myself and everyone else who wrote up these recommendations throw in the towel as the worst judge of character EVER.
Vodo, you're truly an inspiration, and I'm glad to say I was around for the Rein of Vodo. I hope this is a good enough award for your efforts, it will be near impossible to put a dent into what you've accomplished, lord only knows how much you've really done. I only hope to aspire to the amount you have done in the past 3 years.
--- Quaestor of Taldryan, Shazâair Taldrya, 9193</p>

What can I say about Manji that many haven't already passed over? During my time in the Brotherhood, Manji had been my Consul and had done an excellent job keeping the Clan in excellent shape and a friendly nurturing environment for any new members. Manji's performance and dedication to the Clan ran rampant during his tenure as he repeatedly released competitions and ensure the activity within his Clan even while trying to compete his Masters. His dedication even proved to shock me when he put all his focus, time and efforts into ensuring Naga Sadow performed admirably in the Spoils of War, going so far as to lead our Clan to a Third Place victory in the Brotherhood. For his almost insane amount of dedication while completing his Masters, excellent duty as a Consul and leader to the people of Clan Naga Sadow and his exceptional efforts at helping the Clan achieve Third in the Rite of Supremacy; I recommend Manji to receive this merit. - Methyas Arcturi L'eonheart
When asked to write this recce I was a bit hesitant, not because I didn't think he didn't deserve this award but because I didn't know what to say. Manji is a wonderful person and a fabulous leader. He worked hard as Consul of Clan Naga Sadow to keep the clan engaged through whatever it took. A few months back he took the time to look over my writing and give me tips to improve on. There aren't many people who are willing to do that and to do so quickly. I fully support Manji getting this award, he's earned it. He's a superb person and a good friend. -Teu Veld
Manji is by far one of my favorite members of the Brotherhood. He has done an incredible amount of work - quality work that has made everything he has led noticeably better. For a long time he has been a part of the Shadow Academy, always grading membersâ quizzes quickly and writing interesting courses. On top of that, he was an amazing Consul to Naga Sadow for a long time. He is a fair person, always looking to help other people any way he can. Every time I came up to him with a problem or question he always focused on helping me immediately. When it came to trying to make the clan better, Manji always seeked out input from as many members as he could, always listened to their ideas and concerns, and was able to put them all together cohesively and make the clan better than before. One can only hope become half of what Manji is, and that is why I believe he is deserving of a Ruby Scepter. For all that he has done and continues to do, he deserves the award. - Ekeia Iclo, P:DGM
Manji.. The man behind everything in CNS, a lot of the ACC, and the Shadow Academy's History program. I can't begin to explain how much of a mentor he has been to me personally. When Zaxen stepped down as Aedile of HMR, I was appointed to become his successor. More than likely every day I would ask Manji, "Am I doing this right? Should I be doing it this way?" His answers were always, "You're doing just fine." When I stepped into the Quaestor position, Manji had told me that he was monitoring me, making sure things where done right. And he did just that. Up until he stepped down as Consul, I was always asking him about different ways of doing things, and without a doubt in his mind he would support me or teach me how to do something. But putting that all aside, Manji has been a great leader to us all. He earned the respect of the members of the clan, and over the past 10 months made a serious push to make CNS the awesomeness that it is. He saw to it that the CNS website would go through a serious change, where it would be a holocron of information that different levels of access would be given different ranks. He pushed his clan through the Rite of Supremacy, helping us earn 3rd place in all the clans, something that hadn't happen in over a year. And despite all of this, he was a major addition to the Shadow Academy, creating and editing the different history courses that are there. He pushed the DB History course, and penned the DB History course part 2 not too long ago. He constantly would be grading each test that would be sent to him, and I only saw a fraction of the amount of tests he graded because it was one house out of about 15 houses, and even then it was a lot. On top of all of that, he was an ACC operator, always getting challenges for training matches, or qualification matches, or just regular combat center matches against anyone and everyone in the DB. I can't fathom how many training and qualifying matches he had to write, and how many matches he had to grade and teach new members the ways of the ACC. With this recommendation I fully support Manji, my Consul, my mentor, and above all else my friend, to earn a Ruby Scepter. Congrats Manji! ~Fremoc Pepoi, M:FIST
Manji Keibatsu Sadow was one of the first people I met in the Brotherhood five years ago when he was a Quaestor and Envoy. Since then I have always known him as a friendly helpful member and leader who has always had a natural ability to get on with other members with a calm, patient and authoritative manner, a passion for the Brotherhood's activities and a commitment to the future of the Brotherhood by helping new members become future leaders. I think for that he deserves the Ruby Sceptre, as well as working in leadership positions around developing new members and activities in this Clan for them he has worked in the Sadow Academy for a considerable length of time and has also had many of his past students go onto leadership positions in the Clan and in the wider Brotherhood. He is one of the Brotherhood's recognizable mentor's and is fully deserving of a Ruby Sceptre. - Malisane Sadow, RM of HNS
Manji has done more than the lion's share (no pun intended) of work required to garner a Ruby Scepter. In what will surely be remembered as one of the most interesting periods of HNS' history, Manji ably stepped up to the leadership plate at a time when our beloved House experienced a mass exodus of arguably some of the most influential members our House had, and pulled us from the brink of mediocrity. His clear head and infectious energy spurred us to a respectable third place finish in the Spoils of War Vendetta, and he inspired not only myself, but other relatively new members to seek leadership roles within the House, so as to emulate his shining example as Consul. Without members cut from the same cloth as he, this Club would surely falter at the first sign of difficulty. Manji, thank you for quickening not only the younger members who were fortunate enough to witness your reign, but me as well: without your support, I for one may not have been long for both the Club and House. Thank you for reminding me what it is to be a leader, and for what we all should be here for. I hope that you see this award for what it is supposed to represent: our undying thanks, which, in my estimation, will never be enough for all that you have done for us, your brethren. Congratulations, Nekura-sama! - Tsainetomo Keibatsu Sadow, AED of HNS
Manji. If you don't know his name in the DB, you must be living under a rock. My first Master... Manji is one of those superstars within the DB. Although he works hard across the board, he never toots his own horn. Humility is just one of his many great aspects. His service in the Brotherhood extends across many areas. His work in the ACC is long-standing as an Operator, and enormous in scope if you consider it over time. Just how many battles has he fought in that trained people? Or judged? Or fought because someone challenged him in order to better their own skills? You'd have a hard time counting them all. I couldn't do it. His service in the SA is often overlooked- and it shouldn't be. Besides working grading many tests, his overhaul of the DB history course and creation of the DB History II is good service. His service as Consul was impeccable, leading his Clan to a hard won and closely fought 3rd. His leadership in helping our club members grow in every area he touches has (and continues to be) a huge boon to our entire group. The Ruby Scepter is for service across the entire DB. Manji has certainly done just that, quietly, for a long time. It is time his efforts were recognized officially. I fully support Manji being awarded the Ruby Scepter. ~Macron Sadow, HNS Quaestor
I was Manji's right hand man for over six months. A time of my DB career I wish I could have explored longer. The RoS was a huge victory for Naga Sadow, though I'll let my former clansmen above speak for his clan work. For over a year, Manji has been the Professor of General History in the Shadow Academy, and one of my closest advisers. Professors often times get over looked for their jobs of grading, but I would like to bring some attention to one of my top Professors. A Professor doesn't just look at an answer sheet and mindlessly grade exam after exam (at least I train them not to). But rather an individual who is dedicated to excellence and knowledge when training our members. Manji came to me a year ago, wanting to write the DB History course. A History major (going for his Masters) in real life, Manji wasn't hard to place in the position. On top of grading his usual 4 exams, he took it upon himself to delve into the rich history of our club and bring it to the Academy when new vigor. Just recently, he penned the DB History 2 course, which is slated for release later this summer. On top of all of this, he temporarily took over grading for all of the Clan History exams, bringing his total number of exams under his control to almost 10. For being one of my greatest friends, and for being a great asset to the Shadow Academy, I'm recommending that this Ruby Scepter be awarded to Manji Keibatsu Sadow. What does one give a member of the Brotherhood who already has its highest honor? In the case of Sarin, the quintessential collector, find something he does not have and give him that. In that instance, we of Revan would like to show the Grand Master our appreciation in the form of the Ruby Scepter.
Not long ago when we heard about the return of Independent Houses, Sarin and I had the idea to carve a niche into the Brotherhood based on a slightly different philosophy and methodology. We had the extravagant notion that if we created an environment within the club where mature, working professionals, students and others could collect to express themselves and share a good time, we would have something special on our hands.
At this point, that idea is a reality and an obviously successful one. For that, we of Revan are very grateful for our own private corner of the Brotherhood to call home. Though Revan's success has been dependent upon many, we are able to single Sarin out among them and show him our specific thanks for the work and ideas he has contributed to this endeavor.
It may easily be said that without Sarin, there would be no Revan. Going it alone, if I even would have tried, I would have sorely missed the motivation, inspiration, and companionship Sarin brought to the table. And this is nothing new. Sarin has always brought these qualities and more to every table at which I have had the pleasure of his company. Revan would undoubtedly be different, if extant at all, and not as fine a place as it is now were it not for him.
Over the last 11 months Sarin has earned 7 Seals of Unity, 2 Seals of Loyalty, 2 Scrolls of Foundation, Crescent with Ruby Star, and the Golden Lightsaber. He has made time to help me found Revan, serve as its Aedile, act as a Docent of the Shadow Academy and as a member of the Wiki staff.
During the recent Rite of Supremacy Sarin made the time to submit to nearly every event including Round 1's Fiction and Poetry, Round 2's Fiction and Graphics, and the Finals Fiction and Graphics events. He helped us to win both rounds involving the ACC which lifted us past our opponents. He also placed 4th in Round 1's Fiction event helping us to win that event.
In Revan we talk a good deal about Sacrifice. We believe it is how one achieves anything worthy of doing. Sarin has set this example of Sacrifice time and again, not only for Revan, but the entire Brotherhood.
This small honor is the least we can do.
Raken, Independent House Revan
Sarin is the consummate leader. His ability to inspire others, and me personally, has been nothing short of unwavering. Look at Revan. Sarin and Raken have created a haven for those looking for something different. The sheer amount of energy needed to craft a thoughtful, focused vision, and then realize it through the charter, application, and implementation of Revan is a testament to Sarin's ability to attract, guide, and lead others.
Look to Revan's first public test, the Rite of Supremacy. At the time of this writing, Revan has advanced to the finals, knocking off two established clans and so far meeting its final competitor blow for blow. While this may seem surprising to those on the outside looking in, let me lend some context: I knew Sarin when he was the commander of Avenger Squadron in the Emperor's Hammer. He led the squadron to compete in a fleet-level event, and win, besting superior numbers with quality.
Sarin showed the quintessence of sacrifice during the event, asking no more from his pilots than what he did himself. And really, this trait has transfered along with Sarin into the Dark Brotherhood, where his stints as GM and now in Revan are a model for commitment and quality. Sarin, never one to follow, has led headfirst into positive territory, and most importantly, caused others to want to be around him.

Esteemed members of the Brotherhood;
When my Quaestor Raken had asked me to say a few words concerning the possibility of awarding him a Ruby Scepter, my initial words were to be, â[CENSORED] YEAH!â
However, as from the gut and emotional a response as that is, I know there must be a logical reasoning behind this award.
According to the standards set forth for this award, it is said that the persons that have been given this high honor are those that are counted on within the Brotherhood as a great mentor, whose work touches and influences a wide range of others. These persons have contributed much in the areas of instruction, invention, and mentorship.
Grand Master Sarin is guilty on all these counts. =) I can speak on these actions both as an observer and as a person who has benefitted from his wise mentorship. As an observer, I have seen the tasks and the guidance that he had given his prior Student, the now DJK Anarya Elvendar. The Knight had challenges when it came to writing, but with the patience of a master teacher, Sarin had markedly improved her writing, making her a stronger member in the Brotherhood as a result. It was such good guidance that she was recommended for and approved to become a DJK, Revanâs first in their short history.
Personally, Sarin has been of great inspiration and help to me. We had often discussed what I can do to further my DJB âcareerâ, often inspiring me to push myself to help out the House and Brotherhood. Iâm not ashamed to admit that Sarin to me is a role model, and although he doesnât have a big âbarkâ, his dedication to ignore the guano and concentrate on whatâs truly important in the Brotherhood, and passing those ideals down to others is a true mark of a mentor. Through Sarinâs quiet advice, I personally had taken the big step from Epis to Pontifex, a feat that I will forever be grateful to him for. Furthermore, he has not stopped there, as he already has plans for what to do next after our current RoS is complete and what we can do to make Revan and the Brotherhood in general stronger and more awesome. By doing so, he is also working with me to take the next leap, from Pontifex to Dark Adept, which is one of my goals.
In all, the name âSarinâ conjures up a lot of memories and feelings. A true leader, a gifted and master mentor, I can think of few that have been as effective in these requirements as this member. Thereby I humbly support the awarding of a Ruby Scepter to our fine leader, Grand Master Sarin.
To Sarin, thanks for all the smacks upside the head to motive my lazy butt. =)

What can you really say about Sarin that hasn't been said before? Through my entire career in the brotherhood Sarin has been here always at the forefront of the brotherhood being an amazing guide and leader in the club. All you have to do is take a glance at the History of the Brotherhood and you will see Sarin's hand in things. However I would like to say a few things about the recent work he has done within the new Independent House Revan.
It started as something unique for the modern Brotherhood, an independent house, it could have been a disaster a clusterfuck if you will, but there were several people who would not let that happen. One of them happened to be Sarin. Knowing that one of the most prestigious and decorated members of the club was on the side of the House gave it instant credibility and standing. His experiance and knowledge, has given me personally a great desire to continue to preform and not let myself get overwhelmed or burnt out. Knowing that if something happens I have a solid member like Sarin to fall back on gives me a great deal of comfort.
In all honesty there really aren't words to describe Sarin, he has been a long term fixture in the club, and hopefully will continue to be for a long time yet. Congrats Sarin, and thank you for your selfless devotion to the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

I'm not much for words these days, but when asked if I had any comments concerning an award for Sarin, I couldn't resist. My interaction with the Grand Master has been limited, but poignant, and he has a number of remarkable traits which I could take the time to cover, but I won't. For me, and the purposes of the award, only a few need to be noted. The Ruby Scepter text includes these points; "Their work will have touched a wide range of others within the Dark Brotherhood as they will have contributed significantly in the areas of instruction, invention and mentorship.".
Concerning his traits specific to the awarding of a Ruby Scepter, Sarin has a core trait which exists as an undertone to the three mentioned - he knows people. To be a successful instructor, one has to know their student. To be successful in the areas of invention, one must know what their people want, don't want and don't know they want. To be a successful mentor, one must be able to gain trust and know their people enough to be able to influence them. Sarin is all of these things - and excels in all of those traits.
To keep this current, lets look at Revan and their recent success in the Rite of Supremacy. As an instructor, Sarin was a key-player in the strategy of IHR. His experiences in the echelon of the DB, especially where Vendettas are concerned, taught IHR the mechanics behind events and how they might pan out when compared to other Clans. This was an invaluable resource to have for the young House and played a large part, I believe, in how IHR approached the RoS. Invention.
While I may look at this a bit differently, sociologically, Sarin's 'invention' came to fruition in the re-invention of himself. While it could have been very easy for him to go 'GM' on the House - he submitted to interacting with the House as any member. He shared his desires for the House and approached it as any other hopeful - knocking himself down to 'our level' and becoming 'one of the boys'. This had a huge effect on the younger members of the House because it instantly made him approachable and brought in a 'fearless' nature to the House. People could do the best they could and knew that, even if their best wasn't that great, there'd be no GM to berate them but only support their efforts. This also solidified his ability to mentor, without question.
Through each phase of the competition Sarin was there to guide, influence and advise. He chided members who were disappointed by outcomes, diplomatically and influentially turned IHR to the same mind of honor, breaking the clan-esque habit of complaining and screaming 'bias!'. He responded to requests for help and offered it across the board. As for an impact on the Brotherhood as a whole and the scope of this particular snap-shot? Sarin was pivotal in IHR's victory over all the other clans of the Brotherhood -- if that isn't a large scope effect, I don't know what is. While this is my snap-shot of a single moment in time, it is indicative of his career in the DB, and serves to show his worthiness for such an award. Thanks Sarin.

Praetor to the Headmaster. Proconsul. Consul. Headmaster. Stepped down from Headmaster to lead his clan again, as Consul. More than 10 years in the Brotherhood.
Below is a list compiled by members of Tarentum, which I fullheartedly support. Anshar left his position as Headmaster when Bloodfyre stepped down as Consul, because there was no-one to replace him. That is not a decision to be made lightly, but Anshar did it. Since then, he did his best to keep the clan running to the best of his abilities, and I applaud him for that. He kept the clan running when there was no other way to do it, which is something I admire. He deserves some recognition.
Korras, Master at Arms.
Some of Ansharâs achievements:
-Anshar has provided two years of administrative leadership for Clan Tarentum.
-He has run many exciting and wonderfully written storyarcs over the years:
-Settling Home for which there were many competitions and an RO.
-To the Core for which there were also comps and an RO.
-Of the Past also many competitions and an RO.
-Broken which had many gaming competitions and an RO.
-He has spent time working with the clanâs newer members to get them up to speed and integrated into the clan.
-He has revamped the Clanâs fiction while making sure not to exclude other clan members. Said fiction includes:
-Physical geography of the Yridia System.
-Clan powers.
-Clan system of aristocracy and land grants.
-Clan military.
-Although Tarentum lost the GJW any event in which Anshar participated we scored highly, particularly our RO. Due to his leadership the war was an enjoyable and rewarding experience for those who chose to participate.
-He used the clan forums and IRC to effectively and continually keep in contact with the members of his clan as well as utilize their input in the day to day administration of Tarentum.
Adien:
Anshar has been an inspiration to both Tarentum and the DB as a whole! He is been a example to me since my joining the DB as well as everyone in this club that has also been influenced by him. He excels at keeping members going and is there to help whenever possible. His work on the Obsidian blade completion was astonishing He will be sorely missed as Consul of Tarentum, and I am grateful to have met such an outstanding person and hope he is around for a long time to come, Thank You Anshar!

Ronovi:
Working with Anshar has been a very refreshing experience. Too often do we hear of leaders who will ignore others' advice and contributions, instead choosing to inflate his own ego and parade his ideas as better than anyone else's. These leaders are notorious for their arrogance, stubbornness, and unwillingness to work as a manager type rather than a dictator type - which is the worst kind of leader to work with, or more accurately, attempt to work with. Not only is Anshar a leader who can take advice, but he also knows when and how to use it, making Tarentum a more interactive and involving clan.
Appointed Consul in 2007, Anshar took on the position as a favor from Sarin, stepping down as Headmaster in order to help out a clan that was in need of a strong, charismatic leader. Almost two years later, he has proven that his decision was not in vain. He has been able to rejuvenate the clan in terms of RO writing, which was a weakness of the clan as many ROs were often left unfinished and were subsequently scrapped. His outlining of storylines has helped the clan greatly in achieving a direction in its fiction and its motives, and as such, more members have become more involved in Tarentum's activities which has helped greatly in making the clan less of a "retirement home." Anshar, subsequently, knows how to properly recognize and reward people - he is not stingy with offering gratitude, though like me and others, he is a strong believer that medals are not everything. His emphasis on hard work to ascend in the Brotherhood, not favoritism or nepotism, has forced people to get their heads in the game, which is always good.
For a guy who first took on the job as a favor, Anshar has left a lasting impression on the clan. Despite its poor performance in the ninth GJW, he pressed on, even taking some of the blame for our standings. He may be humble, but Anshar is a natural-born leader and a hard worker. His contributions to three major clan-wide competitions and to the recent GJW have added much to the clan's structure and fiction, and he readily accepts advice from other leaders such as myself. He has held the position much longer than any of us ever imagined, and, like any good leader, he knew when he had to step down. As he continues his work as Praetor to the MAA and as a member of Tarentum, I can only thank him for all his work. He has helped me personally as well as others to become strong leaders, and in short, he has proven to be one of the best mentors and contributors that the Brotherhood has to offer. I truly feel that he deserves this award for his years of dedication. Thanks, Anshar. We owe you one.

Frosty:
Anshar is a great guy and I'd love to see him get some rewards but I've only been recently made QUA and it was at that time that Anshar's home state got flooded and he's life started to get busy. So I can't think I can add something to what has already been written from a Quaestor point of view, all I can do is write from a member of Tarentum's position.
Starting with GJW... Yeah, we failed at that one but I don't think it was Anshar's fault, he was constantly active as a leader and he pushed as much as he could but you can't mold anything if the clay is bad. I myself tried to compete in as many gaming competition I could possibly participate in, but I as I discovered with each GJW, the efforts that are put in this kind of vendettas grow more and more and it's insane if you think about it. Some people can't be around 24/7 to game for a fictional club, and maybe that's what happening in Tarentum. Anshar's creed was always about real life coming first and more then pushing us like slaves he cultivated a friendly atmosphere, you know that atmosphere that no other clan has it. I think our members would rather be in the Ale Pond than fighting for Sarin or Muz. Sorry Muz, sorry insane score points, sorry pompous awards and titles, I'll stick to my Anshar.
Anshar buddy you are one of those Consuls that remain in my mind, a real Emeritus Consul an Elder of the clan. And on that list I only have Bloodfyre, Spears and you. If you think about it, so few people remember BF for taking second place in the GJW with Tarentum and so many remember him for being such a nice and helpful guy. If you could get a Cluster of Fire for every time you helped the clan I'm sure you'll beat my numbers of CFs by far. Thank you for all your hard work, Anshar!
Frosty Romanae Tarentae
Severon:
Anshar has always been the most helpful person he can be. When members needed direction, he gave it to them. When they needed help, he took the time to help them. He did this not only during his time as Headmaster but especially during his time as Consul of Clan Tarentum. He devoted his time to the well-being of the Clan's members even when it wasn't convenient. He was a true Tarentae.
Anshar gave us guidance during the GJW. He motivated the Clan to work harder than it ever had. He also unified the Clan, turning it into an effective fighting force against the Jedi. When the war grew long and wearying, he pepped us up by going before us and taking the most of the war. He is strong and wise and loves his clan dearly.
I have only recently become the Rollmaster of House Gladius so this is a large step for me but serving under Anshar as only a regular member of the Clan was inspiring. When I needed him, he was always there to give me advice. If anyone deserves this award, it would have to be him. Thanks Anshar, for being a true friend and leader to all of us.
Severon Vercingetorix
Raiju:
For almost two full years, Anshar has been actively been involved in a long time volunteered committment to Tarentum that continued since his resignation from Headmaster. At that time, Anshar had been the Headmaster of the DB and was a great success for the DB in that role. However, the loyalty Anshar has for Tarentum convinced him to give up the position, which many in the DB hold as their career goal, and returned to Tarentum as Consul to replace the resignation of Sith Bloodfyre. I've spoken to Anshar many times regarding this, and when discussed Anshar always repeats the fact that the reason he took the position of Consul was because of the situation Tarentum was in. Hurting from a lack of skilled leadership and no replacements for Bloodfyre and coming from a 4th place positioning from the last GJW; Tarentum was in a state of hurt and Anshar believed it was his duty as a son of Tarentum to return to help change things around.
And change things he did. After Anshar took over as Consul of Tarentum for his second reign he was commited to two things: 1) Creating a strong, structured leadership that could take over from him and continue on building from inside the clan and 2) Preparing for the next GJW and making a better placing then last time. When it came to the first objective, Anshar was effective. Working with the Tarentae, Anshar was able to get a number of veteran members to step up and mentor the new membership and begin marking potential leader candidates. Having members like Oberst, Doni, Rekio, Telona, and Dranik all return and take an active part in the campaign, Anshar worked with these veterans for almost a year mentoring and developing the skills of the new generation of leaders to slowly take their places at the heads of each of the houses. After this time, the House all began to emerge with strong figureheads for each House with people like Scion, Apollo, Ronovi, Odin, and Elols. All from the campaigning, mentoring, and leadership of Anshar.
Following the development of new leaders for the clan, Anshar's shift was then towards preparing the Clan for the next GJW. While a last place ranking was the result of Tarentum's participation in the competition, it was far from a failure. While we didn't meet our goal, Anshar's preparations for the GJW still had an impact. Running two clan "wars" and specifically this included runons, Anshar helped many members perpare for the GJW by developing their skills and work. This resulted in many of the placings our members had throughout the various competitions and especially with the 3rd placing for our clan runon. Additionally, Anshar himself did very well in the GJW participating in 11 events, several times placing within the top 10, and continued his strong leadership by encouraging many to participate and motivating the summits to do so as well.
Anshar deserves this award more than most do who earn it, due to his dedication, leadership, activity, and scarifrice. As mentioned above, Anshar gave up something many wouldn't proving his loyalty and selflessness. He developed key aspects of Tarentum that impacted the successes our members had through the development of a solid leadership structure that help oversee all of the Tarenti for their skill development. Likewise, he didn't shell out the duty of participating like many leaders do and lead through both voice and example. For all this and whatever may have been missed, I believe Anshar deserves this as a thank you from all of the clan.

Kyra:
Since taking over as Consul of Clan Tarentum, Anshar has been a constant presence and driving force in the Clan. He had dedicated his time to one strengthening the clan, two motivating members of Tarentum to be active, and three adding a significant amount of new fiction to the Clan's story. During the ninth Great Jedi War Anshar made a huge effort to get out weekly updates to the clan letting members know what was happening and where the clan was and what can be done to improve our standing. He also encouraged members, despite RL obligations for many, to do as much as they could to participate in the War even if it was only one or two activities.
Anshar gave Tarentum several major clan story competitions that featured multiple events, and the story arc "of the past" included a well written run-on by the clan leaders and many members of the clan. It was due in part to the hard-work and motivation inspired by our Consul, Anshar, which kept us writing, gaming, and competing. After the GJW he ran another clan competition featuring more parts that added significantly to Tarentum's history. Despite RL obligations and balancing his duties as P:MAA Anshar managed to add chapters to the "Broken" story, with the help of his summit. From personal experience, Anshar always replied to my queries and was there with help and advice, and gave Tarentum members opportunities to stay active and advance within the Clan. He also listened to the leaders and knew their input to the clan's fiction and overall success was paramount. A true leader in the DB and one that would be missed.
Anshar moved the Clan forward and left a legacy that other leaders can aspire too, that said he deserves and has earned this award. It has been an honor to be under his leadership and guidance, and serve as a house leader in Clan Tarentum. Thank you Anshar for a job well done!

Vai:
Rarely in the brotherhood do you find someone who gives their all for the good of the brotherhood. This level of devotion takes sacrifice of ones personal life to a level that notice must be made for it. Anshar, former Consul of Clan Tarentum, is one of these people who truely care about the Dark Jedi Brotherhood. This level of dedication is noticed in which empowers growth which is crucial to an organization such as the DJB. From the day I signed up for the DJB I have been learning more about Anshar. His professionalism, his knowledge and his care for every member stands out. Looking at who I am now as a Knight, I can see the impression that Anshar has made show in what I do. Thank you Anshar, you were an outstanding Consul and thank you for continued devotion to the DJB.

Ji:
Anshar has been the Consul of Tarentum since I joined the Brotherhood almost two years ago. In that time Iâve gotten to know him as a Consul and a friend and I donât think anybody has done more for the clan in the last couple of years. From his devotion to the members of the clan to his exciting and very well written clan fiction my time under Anshar has been highly enjoyable, something I attribute directly to him and his hard work. However, in spite of all these things Anshar has done for Tarentum, I feel his greatest contribution is his encouragement of the clanâs entire membership (from our numerous Elders to the newest Journeyman) to participate in clan activities. Even as a Novice while participating in an RO Anshar helped me solidify my understanding of clan fiction and ensured that my participation was valued and utilized in the greater storyline. We could not have asked for a better Consul Anshar. Youâll be greatly missed.
Ji Kâawiil
Saitou:
Although I am still a relative newcomer to Tarentum in the long run, I can honestly state that Anshar has been a pillar of the clan for the entire time I have been included among its membership. Anshar kept the fine balance that so many summit strive for when dealing with their fellow clansmen: order and respect. I'm not sad to see him step down as he deserves time away and a fine corps of summit are moving up to allow new ones to fill the lower echelon as it should be. A seemless transition without major crisis is the mark of a good leader. Thanks, Anshar.

Impetus has been without a doubt one of the most active members of the DB I have ever met. Enumerating all she has done without ever asking for anything in return would be actually too long a task for a single medal request. As Fiction Tribune you already know that one of the major projects I was working on was the RPG Guide. This guide recently went live on the DB site, and Impetus is one of its largest contributors. Impetus is responsible for the creation of the entire Dice System section of the RPG Guide, which in itself was no mean feat, there were several Asst. Loremasters that worked diligently on the project with me, Impetus was on of the most active and prolific of the group.
It is without a doubt when I say that without Impetus continual support, activity and willingness to create part of the guide itself that the RPG guide isn't still in some obscure creation stage. For Impetus' work, leadership, and fellowship within the DB, I can not say enough. Impetus is a natural mentor, a hard worker, and enters into her duties with a devotion that can not be found in many areas of this club. It is with solemn honor that I recommend Impetus M'nar be granted a Ruby Scepter.
In Brotherhood Service,
~ Countess Eludajae M'Nar; Loremaster of the Brotherhood
Impetus came to us earlier this summer looking for ways to up his resume, and help the Brotherhood as a whole. He wasted no time in going to work with me on our fictional department, in which he helped write several fictional updates and brain stormed ideas up with the Headmaster and myself. As a Magistrate to the Headmaster, Imp was always on time, and never afraid to give his two cents on ideas regarding the Shadow Academy. It's a shame he had to retire, but his hard work has not gone un-noticed. Thanks Imp, you'll be missed.
~ Taigikori Aybara Dupar; Praetor to the Headmaster
Impetus has been an Epis for almost exactly a year and five months. In that time, Impetus has been arguably one of the most active members in the entire Brotherhood. To show for it, Impetus has accrued the following: a Grand Cross of the Dar Side, 3 Steel Crosses, an Anteian Cross, a Seal of Loyalty, 29 assorted Crescents, 25 Clusters of Fire, 11 Legion of the Scholars, 14 Seals of Unity, 9 Seals of Remembrance, a Silver Nova, Dark Mavens in Service, Writing, and Philosophy, a Dark Savant in Writing and Philosophy, and a Dark Side Scroll.
Impetus has served on the Wiki staff for over a year, is the current Clan Trainer for CP in the ACC, was Magistrate to the Headmaster of the Shadow Academy for about 5 months, and spent about a month as BTL in House Calliburnus in CSP. The recommendations from Eludajae and Taigikori give you an idea of the scope of Impetus' contributions outside the Clan. Quite simply, I don't think anyone in the Brotherhood realizes how much Impetus has contributed, due to the diverse nature of the work.
What all has Impetus contributed during this time of such varied service? Not more than a month after transferring to House Satal Keto from CSP, Impetus, with the help of Eludajae, created a fictional event series entitled Mirror, Mirror, spanning two message board run-on's and two IRC RP sessions, all of this done, by the way, without any help from, or even suggestion by, Clan Plagueis' leadership. During GJW IX, Impetus helped proofread and spellcheck ACC posts. As Magistrate to the Headmaster, Impetus wrote fictional Shadow Academy updates and helped with the development of two new courses. I can tell you that whether or not she has held an official position, Impetus has been a leader in Clan Plagueis since the day she stepped foot here. Be it the mentoring and helping of younger members, or the willingness to step up to the plate and do something when she saw an area that could be improved, Impetus is the very definition of a good leader.
~ Vivackus Kavon; Proconsul of Plagueis
A Ruby Scepter is intended for the mentors of the Brotherhood, and Impetus has been exactly that. Her work as Clan Trainer, M:HM, and Loremaster aside, Impetus has helped mentor me. As a relatively new leader to the Brotherhood, I have on several occasions asked her opinion. The description for the Ruby Scepter reads that a member will have contributed in the areas of instruction, invention, and mentorship. This describes Impetus perfectly. It was with great respect and honour that I request Impetus be granted a Ruby Scepter with the hope that she will continue to mentor me and the membership of Clan Plagueis and the Dark Jedi Brotherhood at large. Congratulations, Impetus.
