It is my immense pleasure to present Alara Deathbane for elevation to the rank of Equite II today. She had demonstrated an unnatural determination as both a member and a leader to improve our club: the member experience, the rich history & lore, the culture of House Excidium and Clan Scholae Palatinae. For these herculean efforts, I am honored to see her rise through the ranks.

Since her last elevation, Alara has participated in 62 competitions, (co)organized 21 competitions, submitted 1 PvP Match, logged 4 PvE Matches, finished 4 ACC Battles, penned 11 Fiction Activities (21411 words!), posted 2 run-on segments (1453 words!), passed 24 Shadow Academy courses, and earned 3 Dark Side Degrees. In addition, she has collected a myriad of awards: a Steel Cross, an Anteian Cross, 17 Crescents (2 Cr-D, 4 Cr-R, 2 Cr-A, 5 Cr-S, 3 Cr-E, 1 Cr-Q), 2 Pendants of Blood, 8 Clusters of Fire, 58 Clusters of Ice, 23 Clusters of Graphite, and 1 Legion of the Scholar.

She has also served dutifully as the Aedile of House Excidium for 2 months. There is no better student than Alara. She has been vital in restructuring how competitions are ran in Scholae Palatinae; ensuring that Battle Team, House, and Clan are on schedule, in abundance, and submitted prior to the month begins. She has assisted Tacitus Athanasius with their March & April execution (brainstorming, suggestions, tips, etc) of competitions, ran the House competitions (solo), and provided Clan-wide events (graphics, fiction, character development). She has come into her own as a producer of content for her people. Additionally, she has eagerly embraced leadership - providing unit reports, e-mail updates (as competitions close/open/near a deadline), submitting recommendations (or supporting recommendations), researching/proposal/implementation of ideas for the fictional direction/development of the House (Fiction Updates, new Battle Team planning, planned Wiki releases, etc). She has also been the glue holding our House together as we transition to new leadership - something that no amount of crescents, clusters, or medals can repay (nor does she expect any in return for being there for her House - nay - her family).

Alara, I am extremely blessed to have been paired with you as House Excidium’s QUA-AED, one-two punch, dastardly duo of destruction… you get the idea… you are my mentee and I could not be happier to see you succeed.

No words can describe how proud I am to see my friend, my former Sergeant, and my present Aedile rise up to Equite 2. Alara Deathbane has once again proven herself to be a blazing member in CSP and Excidium. Her outstanding work and dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. She has been a constant presence when discussing the House’s development, plans for TA and a new Battle Team, and helping unit members advance in the DJB. Alara has also been a regular visitor to her former Battle Team, making sure that everyone is working hard while having fun at the same time as she does her best to motivate anyone who is struggling. She has released many competitions for everyone to participate in, and had partaken in many comps as well while placing in a few. All her efforts have led to Alara receiving her very first Steel Cross, and has ultimately led her to a very well-deserved promotion to Equite 2. As always, she continue to serve as a flaming beacon to others, setting a great example as a leader and a dedicated member of CSP and Excidium. A huge congratulations to you, Alara! When Alara first joined, many of us knew she had the potential to go far. Today I get to further confirm everyone’s original thoughts by her continued demonstration of living up to that potential. Both as a hard hitting member, and as a learning leader, Alara has shown tremendous growth, dedication, and class these last few months.

As a member its very easy to see how her efforts have tallied up. 62 total competitions participated in. Crescents earned of every level. A Steel Cross, An Anteian Cross, and a multitude of clusters and pendants. 4 ACC matches, 24 SA courses, 3 degrees. This consistent high quality work is exactly the kind of activity we love to see from our established members, and Alara is doing a brilliant job of showing everyone how to live that DJB life.

As a leader, Alara has shown a natural talent for it over the last 2 months as Aedile for Excidium. She is in constant contact with her members, helping them with the issues that arise, providing feedback, and making sure everyone always knows about the many many competitions being run. These include several of her own, having organized 15, and co-organized 6 since reaching EQ1.

All in all, Alara remains an awesome member, and I couldn’t be more thrilled about recommending her advancement on to EQ2. Congratulations Alara! Drinks are on you!

Taranae Rhode has always been one of the most valuable members of Clan Plagueis, starting when she joined our ranks and continuing through the present day. She has been a consistently active member and leader within our Clan, stacking up competition entries and mentoring successes along the way with reckless abandon. There are very, very few who have been the sort of dynamos for Clan Plagueis that she has, especially in the time since her last elevation. Her consistent excellence is best exemplified by her performance in our recently completed The Enemy Below event where she completed all 24 events and finished 8th overall in the entire Clan, taking placements in 3 of those events.

As an individual competitor, Taranae is often second to none. Since her elevation to Battlemaster, Taranae has entered a staggering 142 competitions and has placed in an amazing 33 of them. Her placements have earned her the following crescents: 1 Diamond, 2 Ruby, 8 Amethyst, 12 Sapphire, 5 emerald, and 5 topaz. Always down for some gaming, she has reported 22 PvP matches and 35 PvE activities to earn herself 79 Clusters of Fire, 153 Clusters of Earth, and 3 Pendants of Blood. She has also completed 18 fiction activities (totalling 9,643 words) and 2 ACC battles on her way to securing 22 Clusters of Ice. Additionally, as one of Plagueis's constant forces in the realm of Graphics, she has already earned 9 of the new Clusters of Graphite.

Looking beyond her specific individual accomplishments, Taranae has acquitted herself very well as both a leader and mentor. In her role as a direct mentor, Taranae recruited Kyle to earn herself a Scroll of Indoctrination (overall her 8th!). Additionally, she helped guide Kul'tak Drol to the rank of Knight and brought home a Scroll of the Master. Kul'tak has gone on to become a solid rock of activity, due in no small part to Taranae's help. On the leadership front, Taranae has been an invaluable part of Clan Plagueis's summit. Her 5 months of service as House Ajunta Pall Aedile helped lead her House to a great finish during our Vendetta against Odan-Urr, and after that she moved on to Quaestor of House Karness Muur and for the following four months continued to build on the positive trajectory the unit was on. She filed all of her monthly reports on time and with gusto, with 11 news posts to her name. She also organized 13 competitions and co-organized an additional 13 more, including her annual Brotherood-wide Pazaak tournament. Finally, she was instrumental in helping set up The Circle, a new Battleteam for Plagueis that was focused on helping guide new members through their initial experience in the Brotherhood. Her prior service as Rollmaster made her more than qualified, and the month she spent there helped set the policies and procedures that our BTL's use currently.

All told, Taranae has earned a Grand Cross and Seal of Loyalty for her continued excellence and contributions to both Clan Plagueis and the Brotherhood. As a tribute to her long time service and consistent dedication, it gives me great pleasure to submit Taranae Rhode's name for advancement to the rank of Equite 3, a well deserved elevation!

Kryy Vitaan has been a dependable member of Plagueis in his activity and presence without our Clan. Since his last promotion, Kryy has been there often for our Clan events while he's been on the roster. Six entries for the Plagueis Pro Bowl, 5 for the Winter Trials, and 2 for The Enemy Below. His constant level of activity has lead him to participation in 51 total competitions and earned him 14 crescents (1 Diamond, 2 Ruby, 6 Amethyst, 1 Sapphire, and 4 Emerald). On the gaming battlefields, Kryy has entered 7 PvE activities and 6 PvP matches to amass 69 Clusters of Fire, 75 Clusters of Earth, and 1 Pendant of Blood. Additionally, in the realm of fiction he has contributed 3 fiction activities for 3,887 words and earned himself 8 clusters of Ice. Kryy has even organized two competitions, both providing Brotherhood wide activity.

Kryy has always been a joy to have in Clan Plagueis, and I wish him luck as he marches up through the ranks in the future. Congratulations, and welcome to the Equite ranks!

Zuser has been a fixture in Plagueis for quite some time now. Going back to his last promotion (during the Dark Crusade), he's always been around and good for an entry or two whenever Plagueis needed him. He entered every round of the last four months of the Dark Crusade, with his seven entries helping contribute to a Plagueian victory. Fading Light, Restoration, the Plagueis Pro-Bowl, Winter Trials, and our most recent Enemy Below event, he's done them all. In total, since his last promotion, Zuser has participated in 45 competitions, earning 2 Novae (2 Gold and 1 Bronze) and 3 Crescents (1 each of Sapphire, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald). His vendetta entries between the Crusade and Fading Light saw him earn 14 Seals of the Crusader. His fiction activity has generated 1,818 words of fiction and 1,184 words in his Run On posts, and he has earned 13 Clusters of Ice. He has earned 5 Clusters of Fire gaming and 2 Clusters of Graphite for his recent graphics work. His overall contributions to Clan Plagueis have been recognized on three separate occasions, earning him a trio of Dark Crosses.

Some people shoot up through the ranks, but Zuser was different. He is, instead, an example of one that persevered over a long period of time to eventually reach his goal. Congratulations, Zuser, and welcome to the ranks of the Equites.

I would like to put Acolyte Ethan Martes up for promotion at this time. Since his last promotion he has been awarded a Dark Cross for his activity within Odan-Urr. This award was for participation in various competitions as well as being a regular in Odan-Urr chats. He has also been awarded 2 Pendants of Blood, been in numerous competitions and placing in several. Lastly he has been working on a long bit of fiction about his character meeting his master, and the misadventures they have with the Master trying to get him to join Odan-Urr.

Beyond all of this Ethan has shown to be someone who interacts with his Clanmates, and is always looking to make members look at their characters in a less than serious aspect. He brings a level of fun back to the DJB that I have not seen in a few years. For all of this, I recommend his promotion to Hunter!

As of late, he has created an approved character sheet, gained 2 Clusters of Graphite, been an active presence on Telegram in both Clan and DB channels, participated in 5 competitions, and reached Shadow Academy Society Rank II. In addition to the above, he has actively participated in gaming activities, namely Jedi Academy, and has actively participated in the Odan-Urr character development questions. It requires leadership, service to others, and a willingness to listen and learn from others. It is not an easy path to continue advancing through the Equite ranks, but I believe Kylex is ready to take his first step onto the path.

Since his last promotion, Kylex has participated in 37 competitions, organized 5 competitions, submitted 3 PvP Matches, Finished 2 ACC Battles, penned 7 Fiction Activities (3938 words!), posted twice in run-ons (581 words!), and passed 11 Shadow Academy courses. He has also collected numerous awards in that time: an Anteian Cross, a Dark Cross, 9 Crescents (2 Cr-A, 2 Cr-S, 5 Cr-T), 5 Clusters of Fire, and 16 Clusters of Ice. Additionally, I have been impressed with the quality of Kylex’s efforts and leadership within Tacitus Athanasius. In March, while his Battle Team Leader focused on House tasks, he took the reigns of his team and lead them magnificently. The team continued to be active in their chat, participating in competitions, and collecting numerous merit medals and promotions. Kylex also demonstrated a propensity with artwork, utilizing his drawings of fellow members to encourage camaraderie and participation as the unit thrived.

Kylex is a developing leader in this club. The time has come! Kylex has been working so hard to reach this point in his DJB career and he has now achieved it in numerous ways. Besides his tenacity in staying active through competitions, ACCs, conversations through Telegram, and working on multiple fiction projects, Kylex is also always ready to help wherever he can. He has jumped up to the plate when anyone needs help or proofing, and even designed 12 art pieces and 12 Telegram stickers for the members of Tacitus Athanasius. (Roughly an hour is spent on each piece of art before he works on the process of converting it to their sticker pack.) This is a huge investment of time for no reward other than the happiness of his fellow members. Kylex has assisted with a Clan task to ensure bi-monthly updates about available fiction competitions too. His role is to collect available competitions for all members of CSP and submit them to our Fiction Captain. This has helped our overall participation per event in those events.

Congratulations, Kylex! You are a magnificent leader in the making. I can’t wait to see you reach further to the stars and beyond in the Brotherhood. When you put your mind to it, you achieve it. Honestly, I don’t know where to begin! This has been long time coming, and I am absolutely ecstatic to see Kylex join in on the Equite life!
