Since his promotion to EQ4 seven months ago, Donny (Maaz, Uji, Log, whatever you want to call him) has been a key member of the Fist staff and one of the best Magistrates i’ve had the pleasure of working with in my 17 months as Fist. While I can’t discuss his entire year as Magistrate, the past seven months are truly noteworthy in and of themselves. Donny has taken on more responsibilities than normally expected of a magistrate through competition organization and creation, wiki updates, and aggressively monitoring activity approval timelines. In all areas, Donny has performed admirably.
Donny has an incredible knack for finding a need within the gaming community and working to push activity. Donny built and ran multiple competitions that focused on building or sustaining activity for Diablo 3 (consisting of two seasonal containers with multiple challenging sub competitions each), Starcraft 2, and the Mobile gaming series. With each of these competitions, Donny drove activity through consistent telegram postings, a willingness to game with other members, and a keen eye for improvements with each event he ran.
Additionally, Donny took the lead on updating multiple Fist-controlled wiki pages, most notably the Pendant of Blood and supported platforms pages. Both pages had old, outdated games that required removal, or updates to existing games to reflect their current use within the DJB. I never had to ask Donny to do any of these things. He simply identified a requirement, brought it to my attention, and asked to make the changes on his own. This kind of initiative is exactly what is needed and expected of our members, especially those who either lead or work on a DC Level staff.
Donny is always on top of reviewing and approving gaming activities. Over the past seven months, he has personally processed 211 PvE/PvO Activities and 187 PvP activities, ensuring that members receive the awards they deserve for participating in club gaming. Additionally, Donny is an avid gamer himself, earning 1064 Clusters of Earth, 196 Clusters of Fire, and 9 Pendants of Blood.
Donny is one of the hardest working members of the DB that I have known in my time in the club. He easily accomplishes any task I set before him, no matter how large or small. It is my honor and privilege to award him with this Sapphire Blade.

I can never find enough to say about Maaz/Uji/Donny/my brother from another clutch. He's sarcastic and a bit of a dick, which is part of why we love him so much. He's reliable, he's helpful, and he has somehow over the years become knowledgeable, despite his best efforts. He's everything you expect of an Arconan, and I'm bloody well pleased to see him getting this shiny stabby award finally!
Despite having just recently stepped down from Proconsul, when the Clan needed leadership help he stepped back in, serving as a Quaestor for 3 more months, and a Battleteam Leader for 2.
While he's organized competitions since his last promotion, they fall under the purview of our mighty Fist. He has participated in 80 competitions, excluding containers or bracket, proving to still be an active member of Arcona.
In this time he earned 1 Silver Nova from the War, 3 Ruby Crescents, 5 Amethyst, 5 Sapphire and 4 Emeralds. For his writing efforts he picked up 14 Clusters of Ice, his artistic talents netted him 25 Clusters of Graphite. In the land of gaming he picked up 9 Pendants of Blood, 196 Clusters of Fire and 1,064 Clusters of Earth!
As can be seen, Donny has kept up on the activity and leadership that makes him a great member. Congratulations, mate, you earned this award.

The Log is one of my favorite members because he’s not only active, but he’s an old guy. That is to say, he’s been here a while, retired from leadership (for now), and yet still remains genuinely active. He games, he writes, he games, he draws, then boots up his system to game some more; that’s to say nothing for how he is likewise active in chats, working with folks on the regular be they new blood or incoming leadership. Dude’s a beast, even if the delivery is sometimes a bit wooden. We still love him. Thank you Donny for sticking it out for so long and not leafing us to wallow in the void. I’m glad you’ve kept rooted to Galeres, and look forward to seeing even more awesomeness from you in the future.

Grot continues to impress with his skill and dedication to the Arconan wiki efforts. This past month alone he assisted with the Selen Development Project for the second time, modifying his already impressive work on the Sinchi Ring page and creating the Selen Military Installations page.
These additions and new creation involved the formatting and summarizing of 20,855 words, as well as 5 new images for the Sinchi Ring. Of the 14 locales created in the competition, he modified or combined and sanity checked (a process far more intensive and in-depth than we expected, yay creative people!) the number down to 12 unique facilities. His work on this effort is shown in the Selen Military Installations page.
Also amongst this, was a little over 10,000 words of fiction which he summarized and put upon the wiki in an observational manner (notable events, as a rumor, or story rather than directly lifting from the fictions themselves) to add flavor to several locales on the Sinchi Ring page.
When Atyiru and I started the Development Project, we'd hoped for creative input from the membership. We got that, plenty of it, but without Grot's assistance on the Wiki side of things, none of this would be going as smoothly or quickly as it has. I am genuinely pleased with his efforts and work. I'd also like to point out that this round of Development Project Wiki work is double what he put in for us last round, and the quality is still stellar.
ALSO! He took on one more task for us this past week, updating the Arcona wiki templates. This involved removing battleteams that were defunct, updating the standing summit (out of date for a deplorable amount of time) and generally making things ‘right’ so that newer members can use the wiki without confusion.
I'm proud of Grot and would like to convey my thanks with this award.

This term gets bandied around a lot, but Grot truly is a rockstar. He has accomplished more since his promotion in December than many members of the Brotherhood ever do. Even those of average activity would be hard-pressed to match those contributions over the course of a year. If there's a metric by which we judge activity, I'm confident Grot breaks it.
In the past two months, Grot has organized 4 competitions and participated in an astonishing 62. Yes, 62. He has earned 3 Diamond Crescents, 7 Ruby Crescents, 5 Amethyst Crescents, 10 Sapphire Crescents, an Emerald Crescent and 3 Topaz Crescents. He has also earned 2 Pendants of Blood, 199 Clusters of Fire, 60 Clusters of Earth, 33 Clusters of Ice, 4 Clusters of Graphite, 19 Seals of Wrath and 3 Shadow Academy Degrees. He is, in a word, unstoppable.
In addition to his personal accolades, Grot has been a workhouse for his Clan. He has put in an incredible amount of work on the Wiki. In the past two, he's created or updated a number of articles (over 200, in fact), including reviewing and summarizing over 20,000 words worth of submissions to Arcona's ongoing Selen Development Projects.
In that same time he assisted the FIST's office with Hearthstone testing, submitted numerous proposals to update and streamline Arcona's possessions, and has demonstrated a consistent willingness and desire to, and a talent for, assisting other new members with their characters and with fitting into Arcona's effusive, often confusing, always overwhelming culture.
Truly, Grot is a pivotal member of Arcona, and a paragon of what a member can be. He's well liked, he's well respected, and he truly wants to help those around him and make his Clan and the Brotherhood a better place for everyone in it.
Grot, you continue to amaze me. You set an incredibly high bar for everyone around you, and for those who will come after you. Don't blame me when they lynch you for making them look bad in comparison.
Congratulations!

Out of everyone I have run across in the couple years of being in the Brotherhood, I don’t think any of them have matched pace with Grot. The man is non-stop! Literally, I don’t think he even sleeps!
Joking aside, Grot has a fierce tenacity in the DJB. When not causing the SA staff to panic about having enough exams to satisfy him — he was the top exam taker through October to December — he was participating in competitions. Since he was last promoted, he has done at least one competition a day. And, to make that even more impressive, he did these comps while bored, waiting for more project work to do. This man put together an unheard of 54 pages of wiki edits within one day to be approved by his Summit! Grot has worked intensely on organizing the Arconan wiki, from the clan to the Houses and battleteams. It’s an ongoing project, but what he’s accomplished is extraordinary. His wiki work had earned him December’s Wikipedian of the month! Other projects include assisting in the Hearthstone testing, in the Voidbreaker Wiki Development project, and with a proposal to reform the Arconan possessions.
Grot’s efforts in the Brotherhood don’t stop there. He engages constantly with his teammates and clanmates, offering advice and positive interactions. The lizardman encourages writing, gaming, and art activities with others, supporting their endeavors. Grot has especially been one of the heads revitalizing the gaming energy within the Clan, willingly freeing himself to gather Starcraft players and other gamers to play. The Trandoshan has even presented several competitions for his fellow DJBers to participate in.
All in all, Grot’s level of drive, enthusiasm, and interest to better his Clan as well as the Brotherhood is something inspiring to new and old members alike. It is rejuvenating to witness and brings a hopeful light to the future of this club. Grot, keep up this indomitable spirit. You are an example to aspire to be even half of.
It is with great honor that I recommend Grot to be awarded with a Sapphire Blade. Greatly deserved, lizard man. Now you can stab it into your heated rock like Excalibur or something. I look forward to where your future goes.

It is not every day that a Journeyman is considered for a sacramental award, but Grot is truly deserving of one. He has been a member of the DB for approximately four months, and in that time he has proven to be an active and productive member of the clan. He has dived headlong into project work, continuing in his work to overhaul the Arconan wiki pages. He has also assisted in the development of the Voidbreaker wiki, and provided assistance to Uji and Drac with Hearthstone testing.
Despite doing enough project work for two people, Grot continues to participate in a multitude of competitions, even taking first place in the Arconan Winter Puzzle Series. He is also a constant presence on Telegram, where he is all too happy to nerd out at any hour of the day. I have legitimately asked him when he sleeps, because I have no idea how he manages to accomplish as much as he does.
It is for these reasons that I am happy to recommend Grot for a Sapphire Blade. Congratulations, Grot. It is a pleasure to work with you, and I am looking forward to seeing all that you will accomplish!

Kasula/A’lora or Moro as most know him has been a key leader in COU since before many of us joined the Brotherhood. I’ve had the honor of working with him directly since returning to the Clan two years ago and he has been one of the measuring sticks I strived to live up to both as a Consul and a Councilor of Urr. Since his last promotion (which was his last recognition for Clan service) Moro has served 6 months as Consul and 5 months as Quaestor of House Shan. I served as his Proconsul for his Consul time and as his Consul for his Quaestor time. I can firmly say that no one has done more to establish COU’s lore in this critical period than Moro did.
During his final months as Consul I got to work with Moro on the Homecoming clan event which had 9 sub competitions and 24 unique participants within the clan. The Homecoming event established some key points of lore for the Clan, specifically how COU came to be accepted by the natives of the Kiast system. He also worked behind the scenes to help set me up for success as I took the reigns of Consul. I don’t know if I can fully quantify the amount of conversations we had before and after I became Consul but Moro was a valuable source of advice both for fictional and administrative aspects of the job.
They say leaders never fully retire and indeed this is the case with Moro, he came back into summit to serve as Shan’s quaestor during a transitory period. Not only did I sleep better at night knowing I had a proven and reliable leader in the critical position as QUA but he set Maximus aka Landon up for success. Together they developed the Last Voyage of the Kesaret house event which had 7 sub comps and 11 unique participants. Even after handing over the reigns of the House he continued to assist in the development of Shan lore as Landon attests to.
Moro is a model leader and someone I’d hold up as an example of what a title holder should be. As I enter a semi-retired / mentor phase of my life in the Clan I hope I can be half as effective as Moro has been as our first Consul and one of our inaugural title holders.

I have had the pleasure of working under Moro multiple times first when he was Consul of the Clan and then as Quaestor. Both times I have been impressed by his ability to take charge of a situation and develop impressive competitions like the "Last Voyage of the Kesaret" event and his work on several competitions to develop COU's hosts: the Vatali including "Tracing the Linage", "Real Estate on Kiast", "A Guardsman's Symbol" and others. Not only were these enjoyable for the members, but they helped develop our new fictional home in the Kiast System.
Congratulations Moro, you have earned this! I look forward to continuing to work with you!
Colonel Len Iode, 2017-12-10 18:16:01 UTC
I had the pleasure of working under Moro for 2 months as his Aedile where his guidance and inspiration towards the House helped me continue to drive it forward into a continue growth of activity. Together we ended up creating and updating over 10 different wiki articles for the House page to include the new "Defender of Satele Shan" competition and wiki document page.
Next we were able to create and run a House even called "The Last Voyage of Kesaret" that contained 7 sub-competitions and had the unique twist of utilizing the members lore from submissions into the House event fiction that would stay with the House wiki history.
Even after stepping down 3 months ago to further his own studies for school in RL, he still has maintained an active presence as an advisor to both the Clan and the House. His activity since then has still been top notch. He was able to participate in 12 GJW competitions, where he earned nailed a 1st place finish netting the Clan some major placement points and earning himself a Gold Nova in the competition "Machines are Stronger".
Moro truly is a leader to this Clan who has been around since before I can remember. In and out of leadership his advice is respected, warranted, and many times needed at the right times. He is my Obi-Wan of the Clan. He always knows when to chime in and the areas we could seek out to best grow when the time is needed. Moro thank you for all that you have done brother. This is well deserved. Congrats brother!

In the past six months, Kelly Mendes has put up activity numbers that are nothing short of gaudy while also maintaining herself as a steadfast leader of Clan Plagueis (and the Brotherhood via her work in the Shadow Academy that Laren will cover below). It's hard to believe that she has done so much in just six months, but one has to see it to believe it.
On the level of personal activity, she is really without peer in Plagueis. Competitively she has entered 81 individual competitions and placed in 14 of them. Of those competitions, 21 of them came during the just completed Twelfth Great Jedi War, the highest number of competitions entered out of anyone in Plagueis. Additionally, she was one of only three Plagueis members to compete in 100% of the competition bins, gaining maximum participation for her Clan. Her competition placements have earned her 1 Gold Nova, 2 Diamond Crescents, 2 Ruby Crescents, 9 Amethyst Crescents, and 4 Emerald Crescents. As much as she is a general competitive force, where Kelly really brings the heat is with her gaming activity. She's reported 382 PvP matches and 105 PvE activities to earn 15 Pendants of Blood, 542 Clusters of Earth, and 1,950 Clusters of Fire (mostly via her platform of choice: Pazaak). In the realm of fiction, she's completed 8 ACC matches (including representing Plagueis in the GJW ACC Tournament), 12 fiction activities totaling 8,004 words, 3 run on posts of 1,697 total words on her way to claiming 46 Clusters of Ice. Rounding out her activity, she's claimed 26 Clusters of Graphite, completed 11 Shadow Academy courses, and earned 6 degrees. In short, she's rocked.
Now, the above listed activity would stand Kelly in excellent stead just as a member, but she's made sure to give back as a member of Plagueis's leadership while she's been putting up the above numbers. Most directly, she helped Obsidian reach the rank of JM4 and helped build Plagueis's future. As a member of the summit in the form of House Ajunta Pall Quaestor, she has also performed her duties admirably. She helped administer 4 Clan competitions, most specifically the Manifest Destiny Run On events to allow for rewards in the form of Clusters of Ice for her members. She has published all six of her required monthly reports in a timely manner, ensuring that all of her members are kept up to date on the goings on of both the Brotherhood and the Clan. She has also been a constant presence as a leader both in our public Telegram channel as well as in private with her members, working through our Wargame, Plaguies/Taldryan Pro Bowl, and Great Jed War events in order to help guide our members through these long term competitions and maximize their success with both her advice and encouragement. Additionally, she has continued to help mentor her Aedile Azmodius to ensure that the future of Plagueis's summit is in place for success.
Without both her leadership and activity, Plagueis would be a far, far darker place than it is today. Either of those things in a single person alone would be cause for recognition, but few before have combined them both with such consistent excellence before. As such, it is my honor to submit Kelly's name for recognition in the form of her first Sacramental award. Congratulations!

Six months ago, Kelly’s journey as a Professor ended, and she began down the path of a dedicated, efficient, and dutiful Magistrate to the Headmaster. Kelly is an integral part of the core Shadow Academy staff. In her role as Magistrate, Kelly has assisted with multiple projects, of which implementing the revised Leadership courses were of particular note, taking the entire Leadership Competitions course under her guise and assisting edits with others. She also assisted with the creation of new the new canon history courses, and has created a final draft of a new Battle Plan Course that is to submitted for approval pending final edits. Furthermore, it is the responsibility of Magistrates to grade on behalf of Professors when called upon, and Kelly has met that call, grading a total of 48 exams during her tenure. And finally, Kelly is a reliable and active figure within the Shadow Academy ranks, regularly engaging in dialogue with the other staff for the betterment of the organization. Congratulations, Kelly!

There isn’t much I feel I can say that hasn’t already been covered. Rulvak is one hell of a member. By far, he is helpful in the most auspicious of ways at the most random times, and he does so in a way that is often neither overt or obtrusive. He is a Galeres household name that, given his activity, should be an example for the ambitious to follow, and the unable to envy. I wholly support the recommendation of a Sapphire Blade for Rulvak, Galeres’ shining star.

Battlord Rulvak Qurroc has served as the Magistrate to the Grand Master for the past ten months. In that window he has served as an adviser, idea generator, and gaming guru. Rulvak's insight and comments have supported changes in gaming policy, changes in DB events (GJW), and changes in the manner in which I interact with our members.
Rulvak has also served as one of our few gaming leaders who has the capacity and ability to organize DJB wide raids in the games that he plays. This recently led to a DJB raid that generated fellowship and DJB activity.

Maximus came to COU at something of a turning point. Over the preceding few years, he’d hit some rough spots in his DB career, and suffered through some extremely difficult circumstances in his offline life. Without going into details, many people would have just dropped out of the club at that point, only to emerge years later, if at all.
Instead, those of us in Odan-Urr had the honor and pleasure of seeing just what this guy is capable of. After a quiet but active period as a member, he stepped up when the call for leadership went out, serving as Aedile and then Quaestor of Satele Shan for a combined four months. During that time he’s run or co-organized 7 competitions. That said, the most outstanding aspect of his leadership is his inexhaustible well of enthusiasm, optimism, and good will for everyone in the clan. If you’re in Shan, you can trust that Maximus will push you to excel beyond what you thought you could and be your main cheerleader regardless of the outcome.
That said, the guy is a beast when it comes to activity. Since his last recognition, he’s participated in 83 competitions, won 20 crescents ranging from emerald to diamond, earned himself 4 Pendants of Blood, 751 Clusters of Fire, 17 Clusters of Ice, and 20 Clusters of Graphite. Max has also lived up to his reputation as a leading recruiter for the DB, earning a Scroll of Indoctrination for recruiting Zeline Nemesis and a Scroll of the Master for mentoring Sia Thiano (formerly Ashlynn Cruise) to the rank of Knight. His exceptional performance in the Great Jedi War is well known, but for the sake of completeness: Maximus earned the title of Second Hero by winning 3 gold novae, as well as a silver and a bronze.
He is a model member and leader and I am delighted to recommend him for his first sacramental award.

While only working with Maximus Alvinius briefly in a leadership capacity within Satele Shan, I can say his impact is truly prolific. He is an endless resource of energy, dedication, and commitment to the House and truly leads by example. Whether it be constant communication, personal attention to his people, or fostering the best in others.
Recently, I came back to a more active role due to the support of Maximus Alvinius. He personally inspired me to take the helm of a Battleteam, which now is a fully formed and thriving part of Satele Shan. His ability to inspire, lead, and create is unmatched. I can only say that without Maximus Alvinius the House, Clan, and DJB as a whole would be less vibrant and less sustainable. His impact touches far and wide. In closing, Alvinius you bring out the best in all of us and are truly deserving of this award.
Grand Inquisitor Ragnar Kul, 2017-12-10 20:09:25 UTC
Maximus Alvinius has been a key part of Satele Shan's recent successes. It is because of this that I believe he is deserving of a Sapphire Blade.
First and foremost, he took a House in dire need of energy and injected some of his seemingly unlimited supply. Whether it was the youngest journeyman or the oldest member, I've seen him time and again pump them up to the point they outdo themselves, astonishingly pleased with themselves at the very end. Once you add his recruiting efforts, you have a very different House than when he arrived. Simply put, he takes the time and effort to get to know his members and be their friend, not just someone who will ask them to do competitions.
Second, he has been an attentive Master to two Journeymen, one of which has already reached Knight. He has really shined in the GJW in his help for his newest student, successfully working with her to ensure she had what she needed to feel confident enough to submit to all but 2 competitions in the GJW. He didn't wait for her to "sink or swim". He was there for her as a true mentor should be in the DJB. As the Master of a journeyman who participated in the most competitions, I am extremely proud of his performance in the Master-Student program.
The above, combined with his open-door policy makes it so that everyone in Satele Shan feels welcomed. As Rollmistress, I can't ask for anything better. You've nailed it, Maximus! As such, I wholeheartedly recommend that Maximus Alvinius be awarded a Sapphire Blade. Thanks for being a good teammate and congratz to a job well done!!!

I have known Maximus for a while, but only recently really gotten to know him. Working with him as Aedile has been an awesome experience. We work well together and bounce ideas off of each other regularly for what we should do as a House, fiction and competitions both. I am very hopeful for the future of House Satele Shan and Tython Squadron Battle Team,
Maximus my friend, congratulations! I look forward to continue working with you!
Colonel Len Iode, 2017-12-12 16:59:07 UTC
Maximus, aka Landon, has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He came to House Shan with unbound enthusiasm and fresh ideas, both as AED and QUA. During the war he was an absolute beast, as others have detailed. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Shan and COU with Maximus on the summit.
On a more personal level, I dare say one could not ask for a better or more loyal friend. I've watched him embrace not just our members in COU but all members, regardless of clan. If you want someone to game with, Maximus is there, if you just want to hang out and shoot the breeze on Discord or googlehangouts, he's there, if you have ideas to share he's your biggest cheerleader. I personally feel lucky to count him as my friend and on behalf of all the members of COU and House Shan, thank you for all that you do!

Blade is the beating heart of Odan-Urr. I’m just going to get her activity out of the way first, because despite earning her the title of Third Hero of GJWXII, it’s the lesser of her contributions. In the last six months, Blade has participated in 50 non-container competitions, including twenty-five competitions in the Great Jedi War. She’s passed 5 courses in the Shadow Academy and earned the Dark Maven in Galactic History. She’s earned 49 Clusters of Fire, 43 Clusters of Ice, 16 Clusters of Graphite for the quantity of her activity, and 2 Gold Novae, 3 Silver Novae, 4 Crescents, and a Legion of the Scholar for the quality of it. She’s fought 10 ACC battles. This alone is worthy of praise.
However, where Blade has become truly indispensable is as a leader. Rollmaster is considered by some to be a borderline-useless position. Before we hired Blade, I was one of those people. Since then, she has completely redefined the job for me. This morning, I woke up to 10 emails to members that Blade has CC’d me on. Emails reaching out to new members to see how their experience was going. Emails congratulating members on their performance. Emails to old friends on the verge of going rogue. She has organized or co-organized 4 competitions. Blade has also earned 3 Scrolls of Foundation. She earned a Scroll of the Master for mentoring Tyraal Bitshiver to the rank of Knight; even though that was in mid-October, she continues to mentor him, and Tyraal remains active and engaged with the clan at large.
During the ACC prelims, Blade agreed to join with Turel, Korroth, and me to ensure that every Odanite who asked for a proofread would get one from an experienced ACC judge, despite the fact that she was a top-tier competitor who would be more than busy enough with her own matches. She proofread 17 posts for no fewer than 8 different members.
In her capacity as RM, Blade lead a project to build a new Jedi Praxeum to house our padawans in-character. The old Arca Praxeum from our New Tython days was a centerpiece of our lore that we had not replaced. On her own initiative, Blade led and effort that involved at least three meetings with her team, each spanning a few hours. She herself wrote the majority of the content, and reviewed everything rigorously before submitting it to Turel for final approval.
Consul is supposed to be a difficult job, but I think my term will be a breeze because I am immensely fortunate enough to have Blade and folks like her on my summit.
Congratulations on your first sac! I have no doubt that it will not be your last.

I've known Blade in the DJB going on a little over 2 and half years from now. She returned from the Rogues back then returning to CSP while I was RM at the time. During her first few months there I had many conversations with her and she definitely had big aspirations for both herself and her Clan. Over time these talks became reality as she showed up and put in the work to make them happen. Her dedication and efforts were always met with great success.
Over time we would somehow both end up on the opposite side of the dark with her now my RM here in Odan-Urr. Blade since then has gone on to hold position as RM and no matter the platform she uses, she touches each member with positivity. Whether it's with the Shiba posts, or her e-mails signed in "Pheromones" to which my our own member from Greece, Zeline Nemesis loved so much since the word originated with something she related. This is just one of the many little things she does that cause such a huge impact day to day on the people throughout the Clan membership. She truly understands the “Pulse” of the membership under her.
Honestly keeping a Clan the size of COU and the amount of JMs we have engaged is no easy task. She continues day in and day out helping keep those communication lines open, recognizing the members in her reports, and generally just engaging with all members because she truly enjoys it. Members can recognize this and I truly believe her efforts are why COU not only had the biggest Clan going into the GJW, but also some of the highest participation rates we have seen.
Running a Clan this size as our RM, the voice of inspiration and encouragement as I like to think of the scale of what she does with her position is still not even close to what I write in everything else she brings to the position. With so many membership personalities and being able to keep them engaged is not her job, but somehow she does it and does it better than any I have seen. She is also always engaging the House Summits to ensure we are on track with both our JMs and helping with promotions and awards.
Lastly not stopping there Blade is always on the hunt to help with our Clan history and wiki. She personally formulated a group of members to help create the Jedi Praxeum wiki. It is essentially the school training grounds for our Clan, but the wiki does a much better job at explaining it. This project is completed with the exception of the images that I am creating to add to it. All of this was organized and implemented by Blade. She saw something that needed to be done, organized it, implemented, and executed flawlessly.
Blade I am proud to have served with you throughout the years. Everything from this last GJW, and earning titles together for our efforts. You truly are the Clan Champion in my eyes. Doing what you did with the ACC and JA was a humbling experience I believe for everyone to watch and I feel many people even outside our Clan were rooting for you. Congrats on your first SAC and I know it is one of many more that will come throughout your career. Continue to reach for the sky as the only limit is what you place on yourself. Future first female GM one day! Thank you again Blade for all that you do, drinks are on you sister!

I've known of Blade (or Aura, as she is now known) for several years, but we never spoke on a personal basis before my transfer to Clan Odan-Urr. To me, she was the person that humbled her opponents on Jedi Academy and offers 'training' — the numbers alone on some of her matches make me wonder if someone has ever announced "Flawless Victory" in a deep voice. When I paid closer attention, she became the person that bombarded everyone with a combination of puppy gifs and what she calls 'Zeltron hugs'... And, being honest, I'm still unsure of how this differs from a normal hug. The Pheromones?
In the time since I stepped into my current position, I've come to know Aura Ta'var for the person behind the Zeltron, stampeding puppy gifs and random hugs. She's a leader who truly cares about everyone under her purview, messaging members via email as soon as they join Odan-Urr (She includes every Summit member in these responses), welcoming them to the Clan be they old or a Shiny... Yes, I watched that Episode of Clone Wars a few too many times... with the same glee at an almost alarming speed. Her position of Rollmistress is not just a job to Blade, it's fun; it's a pleasure to interact with members, learn all she can about them and find the best prospective mentor that would suit the needs of the individual at the time.
It's been a pleasure since the very first day working with Blade and for all of her phenomenal work (yes, it's still a service, even if you don't think so, girlie :P) and activity, I'm truly excited to recommend that Aurora "Aura" Ta'var be awarded a Sapphire Blade.
Congratulations! I hope you enjoy the shiny weapon! (You don't need a glowbat anymore!!) In the last seven months, you've gone from a relative stranger to someone I am happy to call friend. You've more than earned this for your contributions in aiding in Odan-Urr, the FIRST Light Clan in the Brotherhood become THE First Clan of the Brotherhood.

During my brief time in the DJB I have seen a few Rollmasters come and go with varying styles, techniques and methods. None that i have seen have made the impact or success Aurora Ta’var (aka Blade) has brought to the position of Roll Mistress.
If a new member joins they get a welcome email, if they start getting rogue countdown email blade sends them a email, if they go rogue they get a email, when they come back they get a welcome email. Just to quantify this her emails are not short little, “He member x you please come back”, emails. These are full blown tailor made informational, inspirational and full of welcoming messages that it grabs your attention right away.
Blade and I share maybe beliefs about rewarding members and she has not only been assimilated into the Odan-Urr member first community, she has embraced it and more importantly improved it.
She is a great member, roll mistress, colleague and friend that goes out of her way to build CLan Odan-Urr from the ground up through are new members up. I am very proud of what she has accomplish and in my mind is the best Roll Mistress in the DJB ever!
So I’m honored to be able to add my recommendation and Congratulations, on your Sapphire Blade, Blade, cause you earned this!

There are some who question the value-added of the Rollmaster position in the modern DB with all the database wizardry James has provided us. To those I would say look no further than Blade for an example of what a Rollmaster, or Rollmistress in this case, can do.
As Consul I had the opportunity to hire and work with Blade and let me tell you few have directly contributed to COU's success as much as she has. Blade took over the position and immediately made it her own, focusing not just on Journeymen but on member retention across the ranks. New members, transfers and those coming up on rogue timers would all received personalized emails from her full of doge gifs that made your day no matter what mood your were in. New JMs in COU go to a training battleteam known as Zireal. She managed that BTs roster and personally conducted handoffs for members when they were ready to transfer into a house. Older members who might otherwise fall through the cracks were also part of her charge. She spent untold hours engaging with members, young and old, and if she couldn't handle their concerns herself she would take them to the rest of the summit. She was more than a rollmaster in the way the DB thinks of it, she was our community manager. She made sure every member, new or old, felt welcome and a part of COU's community.
Beyond her role as RM, Blade is an exceptional leader within the ranks. The fact she won two heavily contested ladders in gaming (JA) and the ACC shows her multi-faceted skill. And she used that skill to better the unit, during the ACC prelim and the build up to the war she hosted training sessions for Jedi Academy and worked side by side with Arch and I on helping members with character sheets, proofing posts and otherwise using her ACC expertise to help members during the prelim.
Her energy, spirit and love for all members is infectious. Blade truly has the heart of a champion and we are very lucky to have her on the lightside. Thanks for everything you do! You play a big part in making COU the welcoming place it is!

My first interaction with Aurora aka Blade was a Brotherhood wide fiction competition I ran back in early 2016. We really didn't interact again until she transferred to COU to take on the role of Rollmistress and leader of the new recruits. Since then, we have partnered up in at least one team for every major event that COU has participated in. From the top Battle Plan of the Desperate Measures event, to the Silver Nova earning Battle Plan of the war, and the hilarity of the "In a World" competition of the War, I have had the pleasure of working with Blade. She also has done her best to teach me JA, but I still haven't practiced enough. Though I do know how to lay down in lava.
I truly am glad to count Blade as a good friend and partner in crime. Congratulations you have earned this Blade!

Frosty’s last promotions was nearly two years ago. His last Merit award was just over two years ago. He has yet to receive a Sacramental award. I would like to resolve that today.
Frosty Romanae has been an active member throughout his entire career in the Brotherhood. Like many of us, he has gone through periods of being in the Rogues, when life has demanded too much of our time. However, Frosty always returns, and he shows us exactly how we can balance the mix of participating in the Club, and being a busy man, new husband, and father-to-be.
Since his last promotion, he was organized or co-organized 122 events. He has participated in 83 total events, including five events for the recent GJW. He’s earned 1,875 medals, including a Silver Nova and three Diamond Crescents among the rest. He also served as Rollmaster for three months that went directly into a term as Consul for 11 months, that included a generally well-received inter-Clan event with Naga Sadow. Frosty was dedicated to ensuring every member was awarded appropriately and in a timely fashion, and making sure that noteworthy things were highlighted and very visible to the poor eyesight of the MAA Staff. :) He has played in 150 or more PvE and PvP activities, passed one shadow Academy course, and posted 10 reports throughout the entirety of both positions.
In addition, beyond the contacts that Frosty made as Rollmaster, he also served as the mentor and helped guide two members, Geosh Romanae and Tebbo Jensen, to their Knighthood. He has been committed to the success of Tarentum and her members, and ensuring we are doing our best to both retain members, and show them the enjoyment of this Club beyond the initial first several months.
Frosty, your commitment to Tarentum, your activity in the Great Jedi War (12) and your role as a mentor and leader have not gone unnoticed. We love and appreciate you for all that you do, and have done. Congratulations, my friend.

Xantros’ activity record since returning to CSP has been exceptional across gaming, fiction, art and the shadow academy. His 1000 clusters of fire since last recognition shows in one figure how active Xantros is in the gaming community, even without the 67 other competitions, with 27 organised. In addition, Xantros has remained active in the SA. He was on course for a gold nova in the Pazaak Den until computer issues forced him to settle for silver. Other notable achievements since his efforts were last recognised are earning every type of crescent available in the club, including 3 diamond, earning three scrolls of foundation and earning 5 shadow academy degrees. I had the pleasure of working with Xantros personally in the Great Jedi War run-on, in which we finished fourth thanks to the efforts of Xantros’ reliability, consistency, and ability to get a post written when we needed it most. He’s written 16000 words of fiction, picked up 23 pendants of blood, 43 clusters of ice and 13 seals of wrath.
Outside of the raw numbers, Xantros conducts himself with maturity and class. He never complains or acts irresponsibly, and is a very important member for us, as a pillar of the community and one of our elder members. I’m very happy to have Xantros with us and grateful for his efforts in the club.
How it has taken so long for anyone to give Xantros a Sapphire Blade in his 7 years in the club is astounding to me. It’s time to fix this. Congratulations on your first sacramental award!

Xantros, Xantros, Xantros. My great friend, my hard working fellow Excidiac, and my competition leader for the Clan and for the Brotherhood. We have been looking forward to this day haven’t we? In just a matter of time, the day has finally arrived! You have completed 67 competitions since your last recognition, you have organized a whopping 27 competitions, and you have blown the FIST-BOT circuits again and again by participating in 335 PVP Matches and 6 PVE Matches. Not only that, but you have gained five degrees by completing 19 different courses at the Shadow Academy. And on top of it all, you even gained your very first Silver Nova by participating in the latest GJW, and gained your first three Crescents with a Diamond Star. At this point, there is nothing else to say other than WOW. You’ve proven yourself time and time again to be a true member, a true role model, and a true friend. I am honored to commend you for your very first Sapphire Blade in recognition of all that you do for the Clan and Brotherhood. Thank you so very much for your service. It is an honor serving alongside such a shining star like you.

I am honored to present Xantros today with his first sacrificial blade, a Sapphire Blade. This award marks a member of the Brotherhood for excellence in their contributions not only to their unit, but the club. And I can think of no finer member to induct amongst those ranks than Xantros.
While others will speak of his individual activity, I want to speak about his leadership. It is most impressive, because he does it without a title. When he joined Scholae Palatinae, he added himself to a maligned Excidium roster that had potential, but lacked initiative or that ‘spark’ that compels others to take ownership of their unit. He worked with, then Aedile, Alara to create a How-To document for both Masters & Apprentices; it introduced both to their responsibilities to one another, information pertinent to their success, and information about their unit - fictionally & real-life. He did not stop there, though, he worked with Alara and a cast of others to restructure the House Wiki to something that members wanted. He also was a major influence in the three part story arc of House Excidium called Operation: Sleeping Dragon. He continued this level of leadership without title throughout the Great Jedi War. He strongly encouraged all of our members to participate in the Pazaak Den competition. He, especially, built rapport with Angel and the pair encouraged another for five weeks to finish 2nd & 3rd in the Event Long Pazaak competition. A major part in helping us attain an edge to become Third Clan. Now, post-war, he is working with Angel to help her understood how to create, advertise, and grade Fiction competitions.
All without a title. All without expectation of an award. And, for those reasons, I strongly endorse his entrance into the Brotherhood’s select membership to receive a sacrificial blade. Congratulations, Xantros.

Others have spoken towards the actual numbers. Braecen has spoken towards his leadership. I want to speak towards the character and passion he brings to the Clan. It is no little bit of respect I have for this fine gentleman, and his dedication to the endeavours he puts himself to. He strives to represent the Clan by doing his best, and so inspires us all; and he does it all for the sake of being an example for his fellow clan mates. This drive to inspire and work hard was especially present throughout the Great Jedi War as he encouraged all of us to participate in the Pazaak Den Competition. This fire propelled him forward along with fellow member Angel to finish 2nd & 3rd. He continues to work directly with Angel in developing competition creation and grading skills.
I cannot quite say just how much I respect and appreciate Xantros and the efforts he is always putting forward. It is something our Clan is the all the richer for having. Thank you Xantros for your exemplary work. I hope that passion continues to burn bright.
