Primary reason

It's my honor to be recommending this award for Morax Darkblade. Darkblade has both been extremely active and competitive, while also contributing a huge amount of content to Naga Sadow. This includes 22 wiki pages which Darkblade fully fleshed-out or started from scratch, totalling more than 15,000 words that he has added, as well as tables, pictures, and wiki formatting. These wiki pages cover almost every CNS event from 2014 up to August 2018. Darkblade read dozens of pages of old fictions to find out the storylines for these events and transpose those onto the wiki in his own words. He also looked through each competition - as well as the parent competitions - to determine the placements and standings for these events. Then he formatted it all on the wiki.

This would drive me insane after two articles, let alone 22. To give a sense of the time and effort involved in this, I can only offer the following: I witnessed a little bit of what went into this, as Darkblade spent hours interrogating me about past events and their stories, and then later came back to fact check me and tell me everything I got wrong as he added it to the wiki. This demonstrates that Darkblade didn't just throw things together: he also made sure it was correct, to the best of his ability.

In addition to his wiki work, Darkblade has been a constant contender in Naga Sadow competitions. He has participated in 58 competitions, resulting in victory in three Clan events in a row: Veiled Origins, A New Dawn: Sanctuary, and Encounter at Citadel. In addition to the ego boost and being able to wave this over our heads (I'm still trying to find someone to dethrone him…), Darkblade has put together an impressive crescent count: one Diamond, one Ruby, six Amethyst, five Sapphire, 14 Emerald, and six Topaz, for a total of 33 crescents. That's a 56% win rate in his competitions.

Darkblade has additionally earned 6 Pendants of Blood, 25 Clusters of Fire, 20 of Ice, 2 of Earth, 20 of Graphite, 2 Dark Side Scrolls, and 1 Seal of Loyalty. He's also passed 11 SA courses and gained 4 degrees, including Dark Mavens in Galactic History, Legends, Leadership and Communication, as well as a Dark Sage in History and Lore.

I'm glad to have Darkblade in CNS. He's improved our wiki presence more than any other member in years. He's consistently not only participated in events, but participated to win, and given other members someone to drive to contend with. He's shown that he really cares about his Clan, and for all of that I am glad to recommend this award for him.

Congrats, Darkblade!

Additional reasons

In his services as a member of the Wiki Staff, Darkblade assisted in the implementation of a tag which helped the Wiki staff in making the stub category less of a receptacle for abandoned pages and helped to make it of use again to both my staff and the Brotherhood as a whole. This work involved going over greater than 200 pages that were previously in the Stub Category, reviewing the content of each page, looking at attached dossiers and determining what pages were had been left alone, which had been left over from previous projects and the status of player characters who had been placed in the stub section. Taking all this information, he worked with myself when needed to determine whether a page should have the STUB designation removed, or should be placed into the new HISTORIC CHARACTERS category via template, or left alone. He and I worked to complete the project. One hundred and twenty four of the pages in the new HISTORIC CHARACTERS category are thanks to Darkblade. He worked quickly and efficiently to execute the changes I desired. While this work can be relatively quick to complete, it is rather tedious and involved.

Another smaller project of note- and one that he largely took up on his own, with my blessing- was the work Morax Darkblade put into giving categories to pages and images which lacked them. This meant going into the Uncategorized Categories, Uncategorized Pages, Unused Files, Wanted Categories and Wanted Files with the goal of clearing those categories out. These actions, which have covered another seventy one pages since his last recognition have helped to make the Wiki a more ordered place. Among my current Wiki Staff members, Darkblade has continued to possess a tenacity, picking up one project after another, seeking yet another thing to keep himself busy when he completes a task to satisfaction.

More recently, he has also worked particularly to bring pages concerning Clan Naga Sadow up to date. These pages have included: Red Fury, Leadership for Kel Rasha, Operation: Homeland, Shattered Ties, Project S.P.E.C.I.A.L, Null Zero, Sands of Time, Veiled Origins, New Ties, Below Zero, Discovery, Inferno, Encounter at Citadel, Operation: Firestorm, Abomination,Ashes Fall, A New Dawn: Exsanguination, A New Dawn: Sanctuary and Operation: Cobalt.

Once he reached a point where the events that he had covered the better part he knew of from his time in the Brotherhood, Darkblade was not content to stop there. He has continued his work, creating pages for events that he is less familiar with, such as Homecoming and Proving Grounds, with the intent to continue his updating work.

Given my staff as Wiki Tribune, I do believe I would be remiss if I did not point out that Darkblade has earned two Dark Side Scrolls. One he recieved for having a Featured Article and the other for being July's Wikipedian of the Month. He has shown a marked commitment to helping to organzie and improve the Wiki.

Of late, he has also both participated and competed in competitions, in particular those that deal with CNS and HMR with a fire. I have particularly noticed this since he moved over to House Marka Ragnos. Noteably of late, Morax was also one of only three people who took part in both Phases of Encounter at Citadel and one of only two who took part in all available competitions. To put a pin in the whole thing, Morax won the whole Clan event by 16 points over the second place contender. Before that, he won first place in A New Dawn: Sanctuary. For that matter, his placement in Veiled Origins (which was, hey hey, another first place) is worth sitting up and taking notice of.

I whole-heartedly join my voice in recommending Morax Darkblade for a shiny new Sapphire Blade. Congratulations on the new shiny, and keep up the great work!

Bentre Stahoes, 2018-09-19 04:01:25 UTC

Not long after I became Quaestor of House Shar Dakhan, Darkblade and I spoke about him helming a wiki restoration project for the House Shar Dakhan. I assumed when he decided to transfer to House Marka Ragnos that those plans were on hold indefinitely. But he surprised me by contacting me about the project some months later. Since that brief discussion he put many hours into what was at first an HSD Wiki article census on Google drive. He first cataloged the 3 main articles for HSD, but then was inspired to add 4 main articles for HMR and 5 entries for the Clan. But then he went wild and added another 97 entries for Clan NPCs, 22 articles for current and former Clan vessels and another 19 entries for Clan article categories. For each and every article on the census he listed the name of the article, the URL and how it should be modified. Following the expansion of the wiki census, the entire endeavor grew into a Clan level project and became the basis for updating many Clan wiki articles.

Janus Stormwind is most strongly recommended for his first Sapphire Blade. Janus is simply put, an exemplar within Clan Odan-Urr and the backbone of the unit. In terms of participation the numbers are staggering. Since his last merit award Janus has participated in 119 competitions, and organized 1. He has taken part in 4 PVP activities and 2 ACC matches. He wrote 6504 words of fiction and passed 4 SA courses. A prolific commenter, he has written 30 comments on news posts. For his efforts, he has earned a staggering array of 47 Crescents, 19 COI, 12 COF, 10 COE, 85 COG, 1 SOI, and 11 SOW.

Now, those are just metrics and are not what truly makes Janus shine, however staggering and impressive those plaudits may be. Janus is the embodiment of the strong and silent type. No politics, no drama, never a bad word from Janus. He is active in email traffic and Telegram and is a guiding force within Satele Shan specifically, but the Clan as a whole.

Furthermore, Janus truly is the ideal Odanite. Every event, no matter at the House, Clan, or DJB wide Janus ALWAYS steps up to help his unit and participates in nearly every event. Not for glory, not for personal gain, but for a true and ardent desire to help others and not let his team down. Janus is an example of a member that goes unsung, tragically, because he simply causes no waves while helping to steer the ship of leadership. Every tasking asked, every undertaking, every single thing he can do for us he has done without hesitation. Janus is a pillar of the Clan and has been so for years. This award is long in the making and is utterly well deserved.

Additional reasons

Janus isn't a showboater, so it's easy to overlook the full breadth of his activity. And that's a shame, because it's staggering. Look at those numbers again. 120 comp participations in an award rec is crazy, even moreso when to stop to appreciate that those were 120 times when someone, maybe a unit leader or just another member, asked to see what their fellow members could do. And 120 times, Janus showed up. Art competitions, in particular, tend to languish without many submissions, so I personally delighted every time I see a member like Janus submit to one, especially when to entry shows the level of thought and effort that he puts into his work.

Janus, I don't know why you came over to Odan-Urr, but we're very happy to have you here and I hope we'll provide you with a wonderful home for many years to come. Keep up the excellent work!

Primary reason

Mako is one of the most active members in Clan Scholae Palatinae and across the brotherhood in general. His competition entry rate, and the amount of placements he received, is exceptional. Since his last recognition, Mako has entered 128 competitions, and organised 3 of his own. These competition entries have yielded Mako 3 Diamond Crescents, 2 Ruby Crescents, and a large stockpile of lower crescents. In addition, Mako leads the way in terms of gaming, earning 6 Pendants of Blood and 968 Clusters of Fire.

For such an incredible contribution over the last 9 months, I'm very happy to reward Mako's service with a Sapphire Blade.

Thank you for everything you do for us!

Primary reason

Mune has played an instrumental role in the running of Scholae Palatinae in his capacity as Rollmaster, a position he has held for one year and 4 months. While the primary focus is still on mentoring and welcoming of new members, Mune has made this position its own and turned it into a position equally important to us as the CON and PCON roles, taking mentoring and member development into his own hands at every level and area of the club. This mentorship has been especially valuable within the leadership channels, as Mune helps us all to reach our potential and improve as leaders.

Mune has advice and guidance on every issue the clan faces, and is a vital part of all of our communications, from short term competition hosting to long term leadership and succession planning, and is always the first one to try to diffuse a potentially volatile situation in any of the clan's communication forums.

In terms of talent development, Mune has always been a regular proof reader of fiction for the clan to help us all improve on our abilities. The most notable of this is his idea of the CSP Proofreading Program, where he's set up an email to which members can send their fictions, and it will be forwarded to a group of experienced fiction writers, who proof read the piece and give guidance. This program is hugely beneficial, not only is there now a one stop place for proof reading, we can also track how much support the proof readers are given through the recording spreadsheet. Not only interested in talent development, sharing is important to Mune too, and in his Rollmaster Reports (which are now monthly on the site following a period where they were shared as pdf newsletters) the focus is on sharing the amazing work that our members produce, so more people can see it. Other notable work in this field is the character development workshops, in which Mune hosts a series of short competitions to encourage us to think about our characters in a new light, which has a positive effect on future fiction work.

Mune's skill with administrative tasks is a further talent that makes him such an important part of our leadership channel. For every multi-comp clan-wide event, Mune has created Google Docs (a mix of sheets and word docs) for the planning of each competition and the scoring sheets. On a broader scale, Mune creates all the calendars that we use to keep ourselves organised between events, making sure that we don't overload the membership or ourselves but keep a steady stream of activity for the clan.

In terms of his personal activity, Mune has participated in 63 competitions, earned 129 Clusters of Fire, 46 of Ice, 36 of Earth and 16 of Graphite, completed 17 shadow academy exams, earning 4 degrees, finished 8 ACC battles, earned 6 pendants of blood and a dark side scroll for writing a featured wiki page.

We are very lucky to have such an important position filled by someone so passionate about the clan and its members, and has done so for such a long time. Congratulations Mune!

Additional reasons

It is a great pleasure to be able to add my support to this recommendation to recognize Mune Cinteroph-Palpatine with his first Sapphire Blade. By far, Mune is an indispensable member for Scholae Palatinae, having touched it on many different tiers, and we are lucky to have him in a positioned role as well. For us in the Scholae summit, he has became the beating heart of our team. Every success we’ve had, lesson we’ve picked up along the way, and moment we needed advice; Mune has been there as a guiding hand to help us forward. There are many that don’t appreciate the role and influence the Rollmaster position can have and Mune is an example of how we in Scholae function as a Triumvirate - Mune’s efforts alone showcasing why that position is so important for us. Therefore, to recognize the guardian angel over all of our shoulders and I’m proud to assist in recognizing Mune for all his efforts towards our cause.

As explanation of my belief, I see Mune’s activity as three separate categories; personal activity, community projects, & leadership activity.

When it comes to personal activity, Mune has participated in 63 competitions, hosted 25 competitions, played 2 PVP matches, done 15 PVE activities, finished 8 ACC battles, completed 3 fiction activities, wrote 3958 words, and wrote 3 run-on posts with a total of 3762 words. Additionally, Mune has passed 17 SA courses, gain 4 degrees, and graded 1 course since his last recognition. Similarly, he has earned 129 Clusters of Fire, 46 of Ice, 36 of Earth and 16 of Graphite, earned 6 pendants of blood, a legion of scholar, and a dark side scroll.

However, in addition to the statistics, I’d like to further draw attention to some notable achievements Mune has made. Not only has he competed in 63 competitions since his last promotion, 6 have been for 1st place finishes, 7 for 2nd place finishes, and 9 for 3rd place finishes . This isn’t surprising as Mune often throws his all into a submission to make sure it is of great and competitive quality. Often I find myself having to encourage junior leaders to not forget about their own personal activity once they come positioned - yet, I’ve never once had to concern myself if Mune was being active and setting a good example - as he has always been at the front of Scholae Palatinae’s activity for as long as I can remember. Truly, CSP is blessed by his presence on this front.

In addition to the personal activity, as the second category I mentioned above, Mune has been instrumental to the Clan’s development as a community. As Eli has noted in his recommendation, Mune has been the driving force behind the creation and administration of the CSP Proofreaders program. Aside from this, which he recently redid our entire spreadsheet and reporting system as well, he's also personally proofed 3 pieces of fiction totalling 2,196 words and taken to promoting the program at every report, event, and moment of opportunity that can can. This is not surprising to me, as Mune often works for the betterment of the community such as in the case of his Character workshops or competitions he runs that specifically aim to help member develop their fictional stance in the Brotherhood. Apart of that, he’s also revamp our clan competition roadmap, tapping in to his convention experience, to help the clan be better organized and more straightforward in our methodology. Whether acting as a promoter of clan activities, personal successes or activities, or being an editor for our clan fiction, or a mediator for any disputes that arise in the public or private channels of the clan; Mune gives the community his all for all our betterment - even personally pairing up with me for gaming so I can learn a new platform to further my own ambitions. Frankly, I see the Consul and Quaestors being our chief community development officers - but without Mune I don’t think we would be where we are today without him.

Finally, in terms of positioned leadership, for over 14 months Mune has served in the role of Rollmaster. From this position, he is the first point of contact for all our new arrivals. I don’t just mean new recruits - for when I transferred into CSP over a year ago, it was Mune who was the first one to reach out to me and welcome me to the clan, offer guidance on the different sub-units we have, and make sure I knew where I could find out all the information I needed for a successful transfer into the clan. Mune takes this role more seriously than any other indivdiual I’ve seen in the RM role - including myself. He makes sure everyone has the information they need to be a success, and has crafted templates and welcome documents to be easily shared with new recruits either by himself or by others when he was on vacation and out of the country. When a new arrival enters the clan, I have every bit of faith that this individual will have all the support they need to move forward strictly coming from one individual and yet that isn’t the only thing Mune does as Rollmaster. As a de facto third clan summit member, an equal member of our triumvirate, Mune is involved in the daily planning and organization of our clan structure and as all the rights, duties, and tasks of Eli and myself so that we know if one of us is away or busy, Mune can take the lead.

Finally, in terms of personal thanks, it has been awesome to see just how well Mune has jumped into the leadership life within the Brotherhood. Mune has all the markings of a grand leader. I look at Mune of a shining example of someone taking the roles and opportunities seriously to develop a positive community that others want to be a part of. Mune genuinely cares for the people under his charge and actively looks to take care of them - whether it be through the communication methods used above or in conversations with the clan summit and our planning; he is always been focused on making his community the best it came be. I’m glad to add my support to this recommendation to recognize the efforts of a great member, leader, and friend.

Over the last six months, Mauro has risen from BTL to Aedile to Quaestor of Satele Shan, and cemented himself as one of the foremost content producers in Odan-Urr and the Brotherhood as a whole. Mauro has made his presence felt both through running competitions and events, and through developing his units' lore via an ongoing plotline.

Since his last recognition, Mauro has organized or co-organized 16 competitions. This includes two house events, Dominion - Phase 1 and Shadow of the Kesaret, which received 77 submissions between them. Before this, as BTL of Tython Squadron, Mauro co-organized Rendezvous of Destiny, a successful inter-clan event with Arcona's Nighthawk battleteam. To see any inter-clan outreach at that level is unusual, and Mauro planned and executed the event on his own initiative with minimal oversight from house and clan leadership.

Across these three events, Mauro wrote 3,347 words of house event fiction, despite knowing it was ineligible for CIs. Throughout his run on the house summit, Mauro picked up plot threads from previous Quaestors' work and carried them forward in an ongoing narrative, making Satele Shan's members truly a part of shaping the Kiast system and the clan's lore. In addition to his fiction, Mauro has contributed 13,418 bytes of content to the wiki articles for Tython Squadron, Daleem, and House Satele Shan, again, despite knowing that such contributions often go unrecognized. Although I can't calculate a precise number, this is roughly equivalent to 6,700 words of content. He has also written a total of six standard reports as BTL, AED, and QUA, demonstrating the rare ability to get a report out on time every single month.

In addition to his leadership activities, Mauro has found plenty of opportunities to shine as a regular member. He has participated in 62 competitions and earned 24 crescents. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the above, Mauro's generated 76 Clusters of Ice and earned a Dark Side Scroll for writing May 2018's feature wiki article. In addition to his prowess with the written word, Mauro has also earned 30 Clusters of Graphite for his artwork, passed 11 courses in the Shadow Academy, and completed the Dark Savant degree in Leadership and Communication and the Dark Sage in Tactics.

It's also worth noting that Mauro is one of the most quietly professional people I've had the chance to work with in three years of leadership across the Brotherhood and the EH. There's no drama, no gossip, just plans, a bottom line up front, and then results. Odan-Urr and I are lucky to have him on our summit, and I'm honored to recommend him for his first sacramental award.

When I first read his proposal for a new Battle Team in Satele Shan, I knew he had something special. At first glance it seemed as though he was trying to emulate Inferno Squad, but this unnamed Battle Team was not just a copy there was something unique about it. There were a few things that needed to be smoothed out, but in the end the smoothing made it better. How he tied the history of the Clan, the Great Jedi War, the unit's mission, and the climate of the post-War Brotherhood, it all fit perfectly with the whole story of the Clan.

Within two weeks or so of Tython Squad's OOC commissioning, Mauro had built foundation of community and camaraderie that exists in Tython Squad to this day. It was hard work on his side and the pay off was the members diving in head first. The first two events earned 100% Battle Team participation and Tython Squad continues to be one of the most motivated units in the Clan.

While keeping the Battle Team humming along, he also assisted me, as Aedile, in my duties of tracking activity and unit health. Especially when I moved at the beginning of this year and communication was tough for me, Mauro stepped up to help when I was unable to.

Mauro, I am glad to count you as a friend and a colleague. I look forward to continuing to work with you as part of Clan Summit. I am honored to recommend you for this, your first sacramental!

Mauro Wynter has done a lot for both Satele Shan and Odan-Urr, but I'd like to put a focus on something that isn't focused on enough. Mauro is dependable and gets to work regardless of how much enjoyment that task might give. As a leader, you don't always get to do the 'fun' things because someone has to do them and the buck stops at the leader. In my opinion, Mauro exemplifies this character trait, which has led him to successfully contribute to Odan-Urr over an extended period of time and regularly as well.

Whether it be a House/BTL event, a detailed lore additions, wiki work, summit management, or another new thing he gets his hands on I know he has it well in hand. This is a rare find. I know you weren't sure how things were going to go when you took on the job but words cannot express how grateful I am to have such an excellent Quaestor. You thoroughly deserve a Sapphire Blade and I am more than happy to recommend that you receive one for all of your great work and wonderful leadership for Satele Shan.

Congratulations on your new stabby thing!

I've known Mauro since back in my first days after joining CSP. I have continued to notice a well known theme with him. That theme is his drive to continue to elevate his game. It doesn't matter if it's while he leadership, or not he always rises above. His abilities in leadership have continued to allow those under him to flourish. If you look back you will be hard pressed to find many areas he is lacking in producing and his own personal numbers are always impressive as well. He truly puts in the time for the Club, Clan, and his members.

While he was my Aedile he personally handwrote the entire fiction for the Shadow of Kesaret House event and helped streamline the House Wiki page with continued updates. The House Wiki updates eventually led to our House page being award the highlighted Wiki page of the month most recently. His reports were always on time and still he managed to bring in the personal numbers while in leadership. I remember one month alone he completed almost 50 competitions and most of them being fiction competitions which are no easy feat. Lastly his activity earned him the House title "Defender of Shan" for his insane abilities being the force he is with keeping Shan going strong while assisting with the VOICE and having fun as a regular member. The man is a beast!

Mauro is a man capable of many talents and as many have stated both in numbers and other areas he has shown he is a tremendous asset to both our Clan, but also to the DJB. I'm happy to have known him for so many years and I know we will have many more to come. Mauro congrats on your first Sacramental! This is the first of many I'm sure.

Maruo has served diligently in his role as Magistrate for the past 5 months. Out of the 184 sheets that have been approved during this time, Mauro is responsible for 68 (~61% of all staff approvals), keeping pace with the other Magistrate very evenly. Maruo has been so effective at his job that I, as Voice, have not had to jump in and handle the CS queue once since he's been hired. These metrics, of course, do not cover the carefully worded remands that Mauro administers, or the time he spends working with members to help make sure their respective sheets can get approved. This takes poise and patience, which Mauro demonstrates always. He is professional and represents the Voice Staff in a positive light. Maruo also is strict at staying on top of the competition approval queue, similarly working with members to make sure their competitions follow guidelines and get approved in a timely manner. He is also active on Telegram in team communications and helps weigh in and review changes and updates to policy found on the Wiki.

I am please to add my voice to this recommendation, as Maruo is everything I look for, as a Dark Councilor, from a leader or someone that puts the time in to give back to the fiction community and the members that participate in it. I'm lucky to have him on staff, and hope this award helps show my appreciation for what he contributes.

Since her promotion to EQ3 eight months ago, Junazee has been a key member of the Fist staff and one of the most reliable and hard working members i have known in my five years in this club. Junazee is a driving force on the staff, taking on responsibilities not normally expected or required of a magistrate through competition organization and creation, wiki updates, and aggressively monitoring activity approval timelines. Junazee exceeds any and all expectations through hard work and a clear dedication to building a strong gaming community experience in the DJB.

Juna’s greatest contributions are in competition organization and management. Juna has taken almost full responsibility for managing the monthly flash and mobile gaming events, as well as some specialty competitions for Overwatch, one of the most popular games in the club. Juna’s dedication to the Fist staff and the club at large led her to organize and run multiple competitions at the club level. Not satisfied with staying in her comfort zone, Junazee branched out to games she does not normally play (such as Star Conflict and Star Craft 2) to help drive member activity. She also drove activity through her constant Telegram presence, pushing reminders for upcoming and current gaming events, sales, and other information to help inform the community on everything DB Gaming has to offer.

Junazee is one of the absolute best at approving gaming activities, second only to the Fist in total number of activities approved. Over the past eight months, she has personally reviewed and processed 216 PvE/PvO Activities and 290 PvP activities, ensuring that members receive the awards they deserve for participating in club gaming. Additionally, Junazee is an avid gamer herself, amassing 422 Clusters of Fire and 30 Clusters of Earth for her efforts.

Junazee is without a doubt one of the hardest working and dare I say nicest members of the DJB. She tackles every single task with an energy and enthusiasm that is unrivaled by so many others. I could not have asked for a better Magistrate to round out an absolutely incredible team over the past year, and it is my honor and privilege to award her with this Sapphire Blade.

Congratulations, Juna. Thanks so much for everything you have done on the staff!

Additional reasons

I've lost count of the number of times I've had to please to write a recommendation for Juna. For over two years now she's been an unassuming cornerstone of both Odan-Urr and the wider Brotherhood gaming community.

In previous recs, I've had to list off literally hundred and hundreds of CFs and CEs to account for how prolific a gamer Juna is. However, this time the numbers are smaller—not because she's less active, but because that activity now takes the form of enabling other members to participate. Without being a glory hog or really taking any spotlight at all, Juna's become a critical member of Drac's staff and has taken on a massive amount of work that the majority of members simply take for granted.

It would be remiss of me to forget one last thing. Juna is one of the very few members I've know over the last three years who seems to have completely avoided drama of any sort. Maybe she gets enough of it from Sera, I don't know. Regardless, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with anything remotely negative to say about her.

Congratulations on the Sapphire Blade!

Since his promotion to EQ4 seven months ago, Donny (Maaz, Uji, Log, whatever you want to call him) has been a key member of the Fist staff and one of the best Magistrates i’ve had the pleasure of working with in my 17 months as Fist. While I can’t discuss his entire year as Magistrate, the past seven months are truly noteworthy in and of themselves. Donny has taken on more responsibilities than normally expected of a magistrate through competition organization and creation, wiki updates, and aggressively monitoring activity approval timelines. In all areas, Donny has performed admirably.

Donny has an incredible knack for finding a need within the gaming community and working to push activity. Donny built and ran multiple competitions that focused on building or sustaining activity for Diablo 3 (consisting of two seasonal containers with multiple challenging sub competitions each), Starcraft 2, and the Mobile gaming series. With each of these competitions, Donny drove activity through consistent telegram postings, a willingness to game with other members, and a keen eye for improvements with each event he ran.

Additionally, Donny took the lead on updating multiple Fist-controlled wiki pages, most notably the Pendant of Blood and supported platforms pages. Both pages had old, outdated games that required removal, or updates to existing games to reflect their current use within the DJB. I never had to ask Donny to do any of these things. He simply identified a requirement, brought it to my attention, and asked to make the changes on his own. This kind of initiative is exactly what is needed and expected of our members, especially those who either lead or work on a DC Level staff.

Donny is always on top of reviewing and approving gaming activities. Over the past seven months, he has personally processed 211 PvE/PvO Activities and 187 PvP activities, ensuring that members receive the awards they deserve for participating in club gaming. Additionally, Donny is an avid gamer himself, earning 1064 Clusters of Earth, 196 Clusters of Fire, and 9 Pendants of Blood.

Donny is one of the hardest working members of the DB that I have known in my time in the club. He easily accomplishes any task I set before him, no matter how large or small. It is my honor and privilege to award him with this Sapphire Blade.

I can never find enough to say about Maaz/Uji/Donny/my brother from another clutch. He's sarcastic and a bit of a dick, which is part of why we love him so much. He's reliable, he's helpful, and he has somehow over the years become knowledgeable, despite his best efforts. He's everything you expect of an Arconan, and I'm bloody well pleased to see him getting this shiny stabby award finally!

Despite having just recently stepped down from Proconsul, when the Clan needed leadership help he stepped back in, serving as a Quaestor for 3 more months, and a Battleteam Leader for 2.

While he's organized competitions since his last promotion, they fall under the purview of our mighty Fist. He has participated in 80 competitions, excluding containers or bracket, proving to still be an active member of Arcona.

In this time he earned 1 Silver Nova from the War, 3 Ruby Crescents, 5 Amethyst, 5 Sapphire and 4 Emeralds. For his writing efforts he picked up 14 Clusters of Ice, his artistic talents netted him 25 Clusters of Graphite. In the land of gaming he picked up 9 Pendants of Blood, 196 Clusters of Fire and 1,064 Clusters of Earth!

As can be seen, Donny has kept up on the activity and leadership that makes him a great member. Congratulations, mate, you earned this award.

The Log is one of my favorite members because he’s not only active, but he’s an old guy. That is to say, he’s been here a while, retired from leadership (for now), and yet still remains genuinely active. He games, he writes, he games, he draws, then boots up his system to game some more; that’s to say nothing for how he is likewise active in chats, working with folks on the regular be they new blood or incoming leadership. Dude’s a beast, even if the delivery is sometimes a bit wooden. We still love him. Thank you Donny for sticking it out for so long and not leafing us to wallow in the void. I’m glad you’ve kept rooted to Galeres, and look forward to seeing even more awesomeness from you in the future.

Grot continues to impress with his skill and dedication to the Arconan wiki efforts. This past month alone he assisted with the Selen Development Project for the second time, modifying his already impressive work on the Sinchi Ring page and creating the Selen Military Installations page.

These additions and new creation involved the formatting and summarizing of 20,855 words, as well as 5 new images for the Sinchi Ring. Of the 14 locales created in the competition, he modified or combined and sanity checked (a process far more intensive and in-depth than we expected, yay creative people!) the number down to 12 unique facilities. His work on this effort is shown in the Selen Military Installations page.

Also amongst this, was a little over 10,000 words of fiction which he summarized and put upon the wiki in an observational manner (notable events, as a rumor, or story rather than directly lifting from the fictions themselves) to add flavor to several locales on the Sinchi Ring page.

When Atyiru and I started the Development Project, we'd hoped for creative input from the membership. We got that, plenty of it, but without Grot's assistance on the Wiki side of things, none of this would be going as smoothly or quickly as it has. I am genuinely pleased with his efforts and work. I'd also like to point out that this round of Development Project Wiki work is double what he put in for us last round, and the quality is still stellar.

ALSO! He took on one more task for us this past week, updating the Arcona wiki templates. This involved removing battleteams that were defunct, updating the standing summit (out of date for a deplorable amount of time) and generally making things ‘right’ so that newer members can use the wiki without confusion.

I'm proud of Grot and would like to convey my thanks with this award.

Additional reasons

This term gets bandied around a lot, but Grot truly is a rockstar. He has accomplished more since his promotion in December than many members of the Brotherhood ever do. Even those of average activity would be hard-pressed to match those contributions over the course of a year. If there's a metric by which we judge activity, I'm confident Grot breaks it.

In the past two months, Grot has organized 4 competitions and participated in an astonishing 62. Yes, 62. He has earned 3 Diamond Crescents, 7 Ruby Crescents, 5 Amethyst Crescents, 10 Sapphire Crescents, an Emerald Crescent and 3 Topaz Crescents. He has also earned 2 Pendants of Blood, 199 Clusters of Fire, 60 Clusters of Earth, 33 Clusters of Ice, 4 Clusters of Graphite, 19 Seals of Wrath and 3 Shadow Academy Degrees. He is, in a word, unstoppable.

In addition to his personal accolades, Grot has been a workhouse for his Clan. He has put in an incredible amount of work on the Wiki. In the past two, he's created or updated a number of articles (over 200, in fact), including reviewing and summarizing over 20,000 words worth of submissions to Arcona's ongoing Selen Development Projects.

In that same time he assisted the FIST's office with Hearthstone testing, submitted numerous proposals to update and streamline Arcona's possessions, and has demonstrated a consistent willingness and desire to, and a talent for, assisting other new members with their characters and with fitting into Arcona's effusive, often confusing, always overwhelming culture.

Truly, Grot is a pivotal member of Arcona, and a paragon of what a member can be. He's well liked, he's well respected, and he truly wants to help those around him and make his Clan and the Brotherhood a better place for everyone in it.

Grot, you continue to amaze me. You set an incredibly high bar for everyone around you, and for those who will come after you. Don't blame me when they lynch you for making them look bad in comparison.

Congratulations!

Out of everyone I have run across in the couple years of being in the Brotherhood, I don’t think any of them have matched pace with Grot. The man is non-stop! Literally, I don’t think he even sleeps!

Joking aside, Grot has a fierce tenacity in the DJB. When not causing the SA staff to panic about having enough exams to satisfy him — he was the top exam taker through October to December — he was participating in competitions. Since he was last promoted, he has done at least one competition a day. And, to make that even more impressive, he did these comps while bored, waiting for more project work to do. This man put together an unheard of 54 pages of wiki edits within one day to be approved by his Summit! Grot has worked intensely on organizing the Arconan wiki, from the clan to the Houses and battleteams. It’s an ongoing project, but what he’s accomplished is extraordinary. His wiki work had earned him December’s Wikipedian of the month! Other projects include assisting in the Hearthstone testing, in the Voidbreaker Wiki Development project, and with a proposal to reform the Arconan possessions.

Grot’s efforts in the Brotherhood don’t stop there. He engages constantly with his teammates and clanmates, offering advice and positive interactions. The lizardman encourages writing, gaming, and art activities with others, supporting their endeavors. Grot has especially been one of the heads revitalizing the gaming energy within the Clan, willingly freeing himself to gather Starcraft players and other gamers to play. The Trandoshan has even presented several competitions for his fellow DJBers to participate in.

All in all, Grot’s level of drive, enthusiasm, and interest to better his Clan as well as the Brotherhood is something inspiring to new and old members alike. It is rejuvenating to witness and brings a hopeful light to the future of this club. Grot, keep up this indomitable spirit. You are an example to aspire to be even half of.

It is with great honor that I recommend Grot to be awarded with a Sapphire Blade. Greatly deserved, lizard man. Now you can stab it into your heated rock like Excalibur or something. I look forward to where your future goes.

It is not every day that a Journeyman is considered for a sacramental award, but Grot is truly deserving of one. He has been a member of the DB for approximately four months, and in that time he has proven to be an active and productive member of the clan. He has dived headlong into project work, continuing in his work to overhaul the Arconan wiki pages. He has also assisted in the development of the Voidbreaker wiki, and provided assistance to Uji and Drac with Hearthstone testing.

Despite doing enough project work for two people, Grot continues to participate in a multitude of competitions, even taking first place in the Arconan Winter Puzzle Series. He is also a constant presence on Telegram, where he is all too happy to nerd out at any hour of the day. I have legitimately asked him when he sleeps, because I have no idea how he manages to accomplish as much as he does.

It is for these reasons that I am happy to recommend Grot for a Sapphire Blade. Congratulations, Grot. It is a pleasure to work with you, and I am looking forward to seeing all that you will accomplish!
