Delak Krennel had received a sudden and strange plus one invitation from Seraphol in Clan Odan-Urr. Seraphol and he had become friends on a mission that went sideways. Even though one was Sith and one was Jedi, they had depended on each other to make it out of the situation they had become entangled in. Still, it was strange to receive a party invitation to join them. Delak decided he would make the most out of this situation.

Delak went through his closet and found old bounty hunter armor that he had claimed off of a dead mandalorian. The armor was grey with purple trim, and the belt was black with purple edges. The armor had been modified to stretch to the users size if the user was too big in the midriff. He threw on the armor in a hurry and put his lightsaber in the satchel that he hung over his shoulder. “One should never be too cautious,” he thought to himself.

A shuttle had arrived at the Shadow Guard landing platform near Big Daddies bar. Oh the fun party he was going to miss there this year. Delak passed Dante on the way to the landing pad and he just shook his head and laughed as he went. Delak knew this armor looked ridiculous with purple but what was a Sith to do. He hurried onto the shuttle knowing that he would not be going anywhere secure for the party because Odan-Urr was on the run from the Grandmaster. Since New Tython had been sacked Delak had heard rumors of the Jedi making camp at several different worlds and keeping most of their clan within their flagships.

The Odanite shuttle carried him out into the outer rim and headed for a desert planet which at first he thought was Tatooine. As they headed for the surface he could see many large, half blown up, Star Destroyers buried in the sand. “Jakku?” Delak thought to himself. The shuttle landed near the remains of what looked like a Super Star Destroyer. He wondered why they would be having a party here with all of the First Order activity as of late. He thought about it some more as he disembarked the shuttle and was greeted by a pair of Odanites. Seraphol, and Xantros met him at the shuttle entrance.

“Greetings Delak. It has been a very long time,” Seraphol greeted the Corulagian with a firm handshake.

“A very long time indeed Seraphol. And to you as well Xantros. Or I hear you go by Lithar these days?” Delak questioned.

“You know how things are with the Grandmaster. We all have to be hidden from the wrath of Pravus.” Xantros answered.

“Indeed. So why are we here?” Delak inquired.

“You are here to be a guest for our party. It’s the time of year when we just want to have fun and we haven't seen each other in a long time. So here you are. Just don't report on us. We won't be here after today anyways with all the First Order activity.” Seraphol said.

“Agreed. As long as you don't tell Xen where I have been. Your secret is safe with me.” Delak finished.

The three men walked into the direction of a giant hole in the superstructure of the Destroyer. It was a massive ship to be sure. It amazed Delak how the Empire could build and crew these things. It’s construction boggled the mind. The party was going to be on the old bridge and the Odanites had somehow gotten the old power systems running for the trams. They stepped onto the platform and were immediately off. It was a very long trip down the belly of the beast.

They had gone about a mile down the path when the hoversled suddenly jerked and all power was lost. Apparently they hadn't fully fixed the power systems.

“Well that was a short trip.” Delak chuckled.

“Until they get that running we aren't going to have much of a party.” Seraphol said. “This is a Super Star Destroyer, let's explore and see if the scavs left anything of value untouched.”

The three friends left the hoversled and took off into the heart of the ship. Doors were forced open every where. Decaying skeletons were sprawled on the floor of the massive ship. The benefit that these three had over the scavengers was the Force. All three stretched out with their minds looking for anything that might look interesting. Xantros sensed something further into the shop and motioned to Delak and Seraphol. They followed his lead and a few minutes later came go a bulkhead which had been undamaged. All three could now feel something from behind the wall. Delak watched as Seraphol and Xantros cut holes into the bulkhead with their sabers. His was still hidden from view. When the metal of the bulkhead was cut away and fell over it revealed a room completely sealed off from any access.

Within the room they could sense things strong in the Force. The items in the room were all in boxes. Delak walked up to a box and opened the lid while the others did similarly. The opened lid revealed something he didn't expect. A holocron. This was definitely a Sith holocron. It was said that the Emperor had several vaults like this hidden on his Star Destroyers for if he was ever caught off world. “The Emperor must have been gathering these artifacts for years,” Delak thought to himself. He picked up the holocron and stuff it into his satchel. Seraphol and Xantros found similar artifacts in their boxes. Lightsabers, holocron, ancient scrolls, this was the find of a lifetime.

“This is the best party ever.” Xantros exclaimed.

Delak melt to himself sticking as many items as he could into his satchel. He would try to get away without having any problems. He didn't want the Odanites to prevent him from keeping his spoils.

“What about you Del?” Seraphol asked.

“I have a bit of stuff I will be leaving with. I won't take yours if you don't take mine.” He demanded.

“That's fine. We don't want the sith artifacts anyways. There is a mass of knowledge here. We could all become the most powerful on either side of the Force.” Xantros said happily.

Suddenly the hoversled was humming again. The three men heard it from down the hall. They decided they had enough items for themselves. They headed to the sled and went back to where they had come from. Delak headed back to the shuttle he arrived on and placed his items in storage within a shielded and locked container. He exited back off of the shuttle to see Seraphol and Xantros burying theirs for later.

“Alright guys. It's time to party hard.” Delak exclaimed.

The three went back to the sled and headed to the party to see what they had been missing out on.

The caves were damp, dark, and cold. The only visible light came from the helmet light Delak had confiscated from one of the miners before heading into the cave system. He was looking for the kyber crystals that they had been sent to acquire. He needed new ones for his weapons and wanted to extract them before Xen sent the mining teams looking for them.

“This cave is huge,” Delak thought to himself. He continued the slow walk deeper into the underground wary of where he stepped. He had heard rumors of beasts that lived deep underground in these natural caverns. They were called Delkren Dogs. These dogs were said to have razor sharp teeth and giant claws. They could rip flesh from bone with one swipe. He hoped that he would never have to meet one.

The cavern opened up like the jaws of a rancor as he ventured ever further into the darkness. Stalactites and stalagmites hung from the ceiling and grew up from the floors like razor sharp teeth. The smell of sulfur could now be detected by his senses. The smell began to burn his nose as he pushed further and further after his objective.

Audible growls and a low howl could be heard from further into the cave opening. Delak slowly grabbed for his lightsaber. Feeling the cool metal cylinder in his hand he flipped to activation switch and watched as the purple blade of Shiny and Chrome sprang to life. The purple hue spread throughout the cavern and red eyes could be seen reflecting the glow back into Delak’s heart. He could feel it pounding ever faster. The day he dreaded had come. He could see three sets of eyes starting at him closely. They didn't move. They just sat there fixed on his own eyes. Out of the corner of his eye something else was reflecting his blade like a piece of glass. It was the kyber crystals. He had found what he was looking for but now it was a life or death mission.

The beasts stared into Delak’s very soul. Fear had gripped him and he almost didn't realize he was being surrounded. The Force was his ally, and his warning tool. The attack came swiftly from behind. The Delkren were pack hunters and had trained themselves to distract t the prey while they swung around from behind. Delak ducked underneath the lunge of one of the beasts and as soon as he had finished his roll another beast attacked him. Delak came out of his roll and pressed off with his feet into a huge leap from the ground. He flipped once in the air and landed on his feet. He flung bolts of lightning from his fingertips and landed a couple strikes against the beasts. They recovered and continued their attack. The beasts lunged again this time catching Delak in his mechanical arm leaving a huge gouge in the metal plating. He looked over the damage quickly and realizing that it was superficial attacked the beast with his lightsaber. He sliced through the skull of the first beast and watched it drop to the ground dead as a stump. The smell of roasted dog hair filled the cavern. He was invigorated after the kill and chased after another of the beasts. He jumped at the animal and landed a kick to its midsection knocking it off its feet. He landed and pounced onto it stabbing it through the heart. The final Delkren looked his direction and was about to run away. Delak threw his lightsaber with the precision of a Wookie Bowcaster. He watched as the purple blade hummed through the air and met it's target. The blade easily passed through the four legs of the animal dropping it quickly to the floor. The blade hit the ground and turned off quickly. Delak reached out for the lightsaber and within seconds felt the warm handle in his palm.

Delak once again ignited the lightsaber and felt it's warm presence. He looked towards the wall that held the kyber crystals he was seeking. Finding the crystals stuck solidly to the wall and realizing he lost his mining tools he took his saber. With his saber he cut three times in a triangular pattern to dislodge the crystals from the wall. They fell to the ground and he scooped them up quickly stowing them in his backpack. He began the long slow walk back out of the cavern system. Back towards daylight

Why did there have to be so many scientists that had worked on this stupid virus. He had ‘visited’ three of the scientist’s homes, hoping to have found something that would have linked them to the virus, but nothing as of yet. This scientist was the last on the list that his Summit had given him, and he was glad that this was the last, but also annoyed that he hadn’t found anything of value yet. From the fact that he hadn’t been called off this assignment yet, meant that the others hadn’t found anything yet either.

Standing outside the door to the doctor’s house, Armad placed his hand on the door and concentrated. He was able to get the sense that he had left some time ago, and wouldn’t return for a couple more hours, at best. Looking down at the keypad, Armad gave a vexing sigh, “This one is either very paranoid, or he has something to hide,” Armad thought as he look at a top notch three tiered security keypad. Thinking about it for a minute, Armad was able to discern that he would be able to get past numerical passcode easy enough, and the thumbprint scanner with some luck, but the keycard might prove a bit tricky. But he was getting rather bored, and he knew that he would start to look suspicious just standing here staring at a door after a while. So taking a quick look around to make sure no one was paying him any attention, he took a deep breath and placed one hand on the keypad, and the other on the door handle, and concentrated on finding the connection between the two. Armad’s brow furrowed in concentration when he wasn’t able to immediately find the connection between the keypad and the lock for the door.

Opening his eyes, Armad took a step back in mild disbelief, “Really?” he thought to himself. “It can’t be that simple.” Armad said aloud. Stepping back up to the door, Armad grabbed and turned the doorknob., using just a bit of the Force to force the lock to disengage and opened the door. Quickly stepping in and shutting the door behind him, Armad did a quick survey of his surroundings. Not hearing an alarm or sensing any traps meant to harm him, Armad started to wander around the house looking for a secret room or the good doctor’s study. He had found the doctor’s study early on, but continued to look around the house for good measure.

Upon entering the scientist’s study, after not finding anything anywhere else in the house, Armad saw that the side walls were lined with filled bookshelves. There was an ornate wooden desk centered in front of an equally large window at the back of the room. With an exasperated sigh Armad walked in and around the desk, rummaging through the papers strewn about the desk. Powering on the terminal that was sitting in the center of the desk, Armad continued to search through the papers and notebooks lying on the desk. He was looking through a personal journal that he’d found in the top desk drawer, when a tone from the terminal indicated it was fully powered up.

“So much for this being easy,” Armad mumbled as he saw a single text box in the center of the screen asking for a passcode. He pulled out his datapad from it’s pocket, plugged it into the terminal and tapped a few commands; one to start a program to crack the passcode, and another to copy and download the terminal’s contents. Setting his datapad down to let it do it’s thing, Armad went back to the journal he’d been reading. He was flipping through the middle pages when he heard his datapad chime, he looked up and smiled. He put his hand in the shape of a pistol and mock shot the terminal. “Gotcha.”

He had found a couple of entries that caught his attention. The first entry was about how he had stumbled across this virus when he accidentally dropped a tray of multiple other viruses. And being the ever curious scientist, he decided to see what this combination would do on living cells. The second entry was dated six months after the first entry, and talked about how a Pantoran approached him about the mixed virus that he had created. He talked about how he was scared at first and then wondered how they knew about it as it was kept under intense security. He stated that he was going to deny what they were talking about and refuse to help them. But when they offered his own lab and unlimited funding, he wrote that he faltered and accepted their offer. After that entry there was nothing else that indicated anything about the virus or the Pantoran, or the group that they represented. Putting the journal down, Armad looked at his datapad, expecting to see that it was almost done downloading...75 percent. It was better than he was actually thinking it would have been. With nothing left to do but wait, Armad picked up another journal and started thumbing through, it was a scientific journal that he understood about half of it.

“Uhm, hello?” a voice said from the doorway. “Can I help you?”

Armad froze for a brief moment, as if getting caught doing something he knew he shouldn’t have been doing, before regaining his senses, and looked up toward the doorway, noticed that the scientist was standing there with a female Mirialan and a male Kaleesh, both of whom were holding blaster pistols casually aimed at him. “Hey there, I wasn’t expecting you back so soon.” Armad joked and glanced down at his datapad, seeing that it was only at 85 percent. Slowly standing, Armad put the journal down and raised his hands about halfway up in a gesture of compliance with the non-verbal meaning of the blasters aimed at him.

“You tripped a failsafe embedded in the keypad out front,” the Mirialan stated as two bodyguards took a step further into the room and more to the side to give them better angles on him. The scientist remained standing in the doorway, a look of panic and fear was plastered to his face. “Who are you and what are you doing here? I only ask once.” The Mirialan demanded, the expression on her face blank and her presence in the Force was surprisingly calm. The Kaleesh was the complete opposite, fury and rage poised on the edge waiting for Armad to do something that he didn’t like.

Not really wanting to put on too much more airs about what he was after, so Armad just said what needed to be said, “You two can leave or die, I just want him.” When he felt surprise suddenly blossom from all three of them, Armad knew that this was the time for him to strike to end this quickly. Armad dropped his hand to his lightsaber. He sensed the Kaleesh fire first and brought his other hand up defensively. He willed the Force to coalesce within his palm, redirecting the quick shots harmlessly away. He was able to draw his lightsaber and get it ignited in time to deflect the shot from the Mirialan into the Kaleesh’s left shoulder. Because of the bolt hitting him in the shoulder, he was off balance when he shot, which Armad was able to redirect into the chest of the Mirialan, killing her before she was able to get off another shot. As he was thrusting his left hand, Armad gathered the Force and pushed it toward the Kaleesh knocking him back into the bookshelves behind him. Jumping around the desk Armad rushed forward and stabbed the Kaleesh in the chest to finish him off.

A little out of breath from exerting himself, Armad looked toward the scientist, who had dropped to the floor when the shooting started. “Don't move from that spot or I will hurt or kill you...haven't decided yet.” Armad dictated. He returned to the desk to check on the progress of the download, 95 percent. “Come on!” He exclaimed. He looked up to see the scientist trying to scoot out the door. But he froze when he saw he got caught. “I do NOT want to carry you, but I will shoot you in the leg.”

The key, his key to victory, A weapon of immense proportion. The final blow a trickery, Causing a lot of commotion.

Great, is this unknown weapon, The crushing truth, has come to light. Information impossible to grasp upon, We still fight to the last, with all our might.

Cannot escape, Darkness unfolding, Win or lose, dying.

Our guts tighten as Blue zapped bodies flying, His cackle dripping.

Immortal, alive unbeatable in battle This man will not die.

Today we mourn the passing of Battlemaster Taranae Rhode, Taskmaster of Clan Plagueis and friend to most, unless her ire was raised. Born on Naboo, she was a kind soul until she was separated from her family and she leaves behind a loving sister, Vanessa and a devoted Mother. Her power grew as she trained in the Dark Side, and she became a force to be reckoned with as she climbed the hierarchy of the Clan without pause. Holding positions on the summit of the Clan, she helped new recruits soar to great heights, mentoring students as she went. Kul'tak Drol being her finest achievment. Battleteam leader, Aedile, Quaestor and Rollmaster; she achieved all of these positions and performed admirably, receiving recognition from the Clan Summit and the dark Council. Now, she has been cut down in the prime of her life and service to the Clan as she fought bravely to end the tyranny of Darth Pravus, the Grand master of the Broherhood.

We commend her body to the stars and wish her a safe journey a she becomes one with the Force. may the Force speed you, Taranae

The assembled forces pushed forwards, the colours of blades flashing as they dispatched foes all around them. We were gaining ground slowly and our objective was in sight. Gasping, Taranae swung her staff at yet another enemy as she decapitated him cleanly. The body fell to the floor as the head spun off towards her rear and she grimly stepped over the fallen remains, twirling her staff around her in a flurry of movement. She made sure that anyone who came near met hr blade first; she would ask questions later. The forces under her command had seen the change in her and knew when to steer clear and right now, she was a blur; a maelstrom of death to anyone and anything that came into range. Looking up, her eyes settled on the enemy commander and she struggled onward toward his position.

Suddenly, he gestured and a dozen or more transports dropped from the clouds, landing near him and spilling out more troops. She cursed silently. Even she knew that the tide had turned again and now it would be themselves who were fighting for survival. As the enemy pressed forwards, allies fell around her to the hail of artillery that fired towards them. She swiftly deflected a few bolts with her staff then turned to order the retreat. She hoped they had bought enough time for the secondary attack.

Keeping her staff swinging furiously, she began to move backwards, still cutting down anyone that dare challenge her and made her way slowly back to the ship. They had been so close and Pravus was almost in their grasp, but the turn of battle had caught them unawares and it was better to live to fight another day than to die for nothing.

Of course he knew that we would fall, he attacked us hard and it took our all To stand up to him, our faces grim, knowing our chances indeed were slim. His troops of hawkbats he did send in, all at once there was a din as they all swooped down with guttural noise, destroying all our hopes and poise as they latched on and began to tickle as tears down our faces did trickle. We laughed and laughed and slapped our head, til all at once we dropped down dead. Laugh ourselves to death, we did and sealed the nails in our coffin lid!

The one thing we didn't know, Pravus' idea for giving us woe, The terrible secret he held so near, Is now causing problems and making it clear That all along he knew our fates, And now his forces have opened the gates To all our secrets we held so dear His army approaches now, so near. We quake with fear, our time has come To attempt this coup we were indeed dumb.

Kaeth, Braecen – With a brief moment of silence, we honor the fallen Dark Side Adept, Braecen Kaeth, born on Corellia in the first year after the Battle of Yavin. His journey took him from a playful youth Oceanside to a purposeful scholar of the Dark Arts of the Brotherhood. He is survived by his Apprentince, Alaris Jinn, and a cadre of dutiful lieutenants within House Galeres. Braecen worked with great enthusiasm on opening upstart Journeymen and Equites to their full potential in the Force. This work would start and stop within several Clans of the Brotherhood before he retired to focus on his work in Clan Arcona. His work served a great purpose, but was soon nullified in the conflict against the Grand Master as all were slain by the Grand Master and his Iron Legion. He enjoyed golf, bowling and his worship of the Lord, Wedge Antilles. A memorial service will be held in a fortnight aboard the Darkest Night, a flagship Braecen previously served aboard.

The Resistance leader could not even scream her denial. A thousand explosions pounded her brain when the Grand Master unleashed a salvo of Dark Side energy against her consciousness, a thousand realizations of impending and unavoidable disaster. She leaped from her throne, slender hands twisting and clenching in the air as though they were trying to find something tangible to grasp, something that wasn’t there. Atyiru’s breath rasped in labored gasps and wordless snarls issued from her gulping mouth. After a moment in which she could not calm herself, she heard one sound more clearly than the din of her own contortions. Behind her came the slight hiss of the wicked blade of opportunity. The Shadow Lady spun about there, and there stood Teylas, his face grimly and determinedly set and his blade between them. “I had hoped that my time of ascension would be many years away,” the upstart Consul said calmly. “But you are weak, Atyiru, too weak to hold the First Clan together in the trials that will follow our-your-failure.” Atyiru wanted to laugh in the face of her attacker’s foolishness. For some reason, though, she could not find the courage or conviction to refute her aggressor at that moment. She watched, mesmerized, as Teylas’ arm slowly reared back and then shot forward. The blade unfurled its deadly edge toward the Consul of Arcona. The teeth of the blade came on eagerly and dived into Atyiru’s flesh with all the Dark Lord’s fury behind them. Searing agony coursed through Atyiru’s body, jolting and racking her and leaving an icy numbness in its wake. Teylas stepped over her fallen husk and climbed the perfectly ornate steps to the Serpentine Throne. Despite what would come next, he could not help but smile at the simple pleasure of being the First Consul of the Dark Brotherhood.

Fingers tap against sleek surface, Eyes narrow at flickering lights. Before the lightly clad figure Was several meetings, The attendees unaware Of this dark listener.
