Consul Report

Greetings once again, Tarentum, for your favorite ramblings and nonsense from me! :)

Firstly, I'd like to make mention of something special, and offer congratulations on behalf of the entire Clan. As you may have read on the DB news page, Jac, the DGM of the DB got engaged this weekend! Tarentum offers her heartfelt congrats to him, and the soon to be Mrs. Jac (yes, I know, that won't be her name :P). For anyone wanting to offer personal congrats, you can go to the news page of the DB site, and add your comments on the annoucement bit Jac made.

The IG continues to go strong. This is a good chance to do some events that are centered on fun. There's a great list of events for you to choose from, and I believe the selection is big enough, there's something for everyone there. The IG ends on My 17th, according to the extension given due to site downtime. If you submit for the IG enough, you could be rewarded something special by me. The top participant from Tarentum will be rewarded for their effort, and if the activity is good enough, I may reward the top three participants. But just remember, this is all about fun, so do the ones that really strike a chord in you.

Also on that note, we all have seen that the site has had some issues. They've been sorted out, but there are still some errors on the site itself. If you've seen any errors on the DB site, email them to [Log in to view e-mail addresses] so that Cyberguy and JaM3z will be aware, and can fix them.

In Gladius, Spears has had to resign from TET of the Mystics for the time being, due to personal reasons. I'd like to thank Spears for the work he's done, and wish him the best of luck in being able to resolve the issues that have pulled him away. However, during this time, Jason Hunter has stepped up, and taken over for Spears. Jason is a former Mystics' TET, as well as past QUA of Gladius, and his experience is a gift I'm sure the Mystics will benefit from.

I'd like to offer personal congratulations to Dranik and Telona on the awarding of their land grants. They've both been excellent members to know, and have been extremely active. I'd also like to offer encouragement and congratulations to Telona on behalf of the Clan. For those who haven't heard before, Telona is getting married soon! :) On May 8th, Telona will move from being the breaker of Dark Jedi hearts everywhere, to the lovely wife of her adoring husband-to-be. I'm sure it's going to be a great day for them, and their honeymoon following. I've issued Telona a warning, that if she even thinks of anything but herself and her husband during their honeymoon, I'll beat her with a nerf bat. ;) I hope you'll all extend her your own congratulations when you get the chance.

We've had some new members joining the ranks,a nd I extend my personal welcome to all of you. We have a tradition here, in Tarentum, that new members are assisted through their initial stages towards DJK with a mentor. Any of you under the rank of DJK who would like assistance, and another aspect for living the experience, get in touch with myself, or Rekio ([Log in to view e-mail addresses]), and we'll help you get paired up with a master. Any of you over the rank of DJK looking to help our newer members, or even just to find someone new to get to know, email myself or Rekio, and we'll do what we can to make sure everyone gets what they want out of Tarentum.

I'd like to take a minute, and ask for some feedback on an idea or two. Previously, the Envoys has had a number of roles within the DB. They were the historians, a secret police, and a Society in service to the Grand Master. Each House had an Envoy, and there was also a Clan Envoy, who had the duty to oversee the progress and actions of each of the House Envoys. Since then, the Envoys have taken on another great role, that of leading new recruits towards their initial entrance into a Clan.

I'd like to know if anyone is interested in bringing back the "old role" of the Envoys, but in a new position, on a Clan-only basis to test it out, and see if we can't make something interesting. Anyone interested in learning to help shape and direct Clan events, and who have a penchant for imagination and creativity, who would be interested, please, email myself and Rekio. We'll be discussing this idea for the next few weeks.

There has also been discussion going on for a few things, one of which is the Clan comp that Rekio and I want to run. Due to the IG and the GJW, which will directly follow the IG, that competition may not run until later this summer. However, Rekio and I are going over how the Clan will be split. One team will be led by Rekio, and the other by me, and we'll be going head-to-head against each other in a series of events. This will be your opportunity to prove your dominance, and go up against your friends from the best Clan the DB has. Information regarding the teams, and the events will be passed out at a later date, but we hope everyone will participate, and above all, that everyone will have fun.

I think I'll end this there. We've had great people come, we've had great events happens, and we continue to be one of the best Clans the DB has to offer. It's not me who makes this Clan the best, it's not the name Tarentum that makes it so; it's the fact that you are all here, and that you breathe life into Tarentum that makes us the best. Every last one of youo are the reason we can gain dominance over all the Clans, and you all make this worth doing. Let's rock this place, Tarentum. You make this a great place to be every day that we're here.
