A lull had come in the time of the war, under the reign of Firefox. The Clans had ceased their hostilities, at the request of the Sith High Warrior. Something was amiss, as Tarentum had stated already, and the Sith High Warrior echoed these thoughts. Those rivalries were still flaring, and the lust for battle had not yet left the seven Clans, each Consul was agreed that, for the present, a temporary ceasefire would be put into effect. Each Clan would return to their home systems, except in the case of Tarentum; Tarentum would remain guarding the Shroud, since the Deputy Grand Master had not yet relieved them of this charge.
However, Sith Bloodfyre, the Consul of Tarentum, was in preparation to enter the Shroud. If he could manage a journey to Antei, the Consul was set on finding answers, and bringing the truth of the matter to light. Tarentum had shown itself greatly in the last few weeks, and was proving to the entire Brotherhood that it would not be defeated. None had passed their blockade, and their oath to seal off the Antei system was still upheld. Bloodfyre came to the hangar bay of the Corsair, where most of the Clan's forces had gathered. Some, though, would be listening in on communicators, to hear the words of the Clan's head.
"My brothers, and sisters in Tarentum... I come before you this day, and do honor to each of you. You have fought bravely, and because of your effort, we have kept the system safe from outside threats, and we have continued to maintain our vow to the Dark Council.
"And yet, we are not finished. They are still questions left unanswered, and I intend to seek them out. Upon confirmation that we can travel safely through the system, I will be leaving with the Creeping Death, and I will travel to Antei to find these answers. I am, as of yet, unsure as to whether the Dark Side will guide me on this journey, but if I am, indeed, to go, I will make sure you all know when I leave. And you will all go with my strength, and the pride of the Clan, and you will go forth to victory.
"Warrior Welshman, of House Tridens, step forward. Welshman, you have proven yourself a man of honor, and have helped this Clan greatly by your deeds. For this, I place upon you the honor of the Grand Cross. Wear it well, my friend. Cannabisia, come forward as well. For your deeds, I have found you worthy of the rank of Warmaster. No longer will you be held back by your former rank, but you will continue on, to be a great strength to the Clan, and to House Tridens.
"Source, come forward. Young one, though you have stood with us but a short time, you have proven yourself to be a courageous warrior, and you have brought challenge to the other Clans even though you still have much training to accomplish. For your bravery, you are rewarded with the rise to Novice. Continue your acts of courage, and you will soon rise towards the hallowed station of Knighthood. Nheej-Kirith, come forward. My apprentice, in the short time that you have been here, as well, you have shown strength and courage matched by your peer, Source. I find you worthy of rising to stand with the Acolytes of this Clan. Well done, young one. I bid you continue your journey towards Knighthood, as well.
"There are others among you, who have proven your valor, and honor, and I will be rewarding you all shortly. I will discuss with the Proconsul, Rekio Corsair, what rewards are befitting of each of your acts. And I will take council with your House Summits, and hear their thoughts on how to reward you. But each, and every one of you who has brought battle to the Clans these last few weeks will be rewarded. I will not hold off returning the courage you have shown. I will not make you wait for the rewards that are yours, by acts of strength, and honor.
"I welcome into Clan Tarentum, a member returned. For a time, the Adept known as Pyralis stood with Gladius, and called us kin. Though he left us, his heart drew him back, and he has returned to Tarentum, to stand with our brothers in Tridens. Dark Side Adept, I bid you welcome home. I am sure you will bring honor to yourself, and to your brothers-in-arms.
"We continue to wait for word, as to the current state of the Clans. I am certain that we will hear from the Sith High Warrior, or another of the Order Leaders, as to what we must turn our eyes towards. We still have many goals to complete, I believe, before this time of War is called to an end. Be ready Tarentum, for we will stand at the head of the Brotherhood, and all Clans will bow to us as the greatest among them."
The voices of the gathered warriors went us in cheers, and cries of battle, as each warrior within celebrated the words of their Consul. Each could feel the truth to his words, and each knew that, by giving their strength to the Clan, they could not be defeated. With each warrior among them rising to the challenges that stood before them, victory would come swiftly, and the Brotherhood would bow before the might of Tarentum.
"Now, I bid you all return to your duties, and double you efforts. We will bring death to our enemies, and we will rise to victory. Until the end has come, Tarentum, we remain at war!"
(--OOC Notes: Chapter Two is over, we're waiting on the results, which should be out within the week, barring any unforseen happenings. Congrats to Welshman (Grand Cross), Cannabisia (Warmaster), Source (Novice) and Nheej-Kirith (Acolyte). Other rewards are coming for EVERYONE who has participated in Chapter Two. I won't wait until the end to reward you, because you deserve to see the fruits of your labors now.
We welcome Pyralis back to Tarentum, and await the third Chapter of this War. Be ready, and until then, keep the activity and presence up, and make sure to be ready to game as much as possible, and do as many events as they give us in Chapter Three.--)
