Combat Master Report

10 September 2007

Everyone has begun settling into their new jobs, with the ACC itself beginning to run smoothly once more. A reminder to everyone that if you ever have any complaints or comments, that you address them in something approximating a calm and rationale tone. E-mails that are insulting, whether they are to myself or to one of my staff, will not be dealt with favorably and is the best way to not get listended to. I believe many other DC members also view things in a similar manner, so try and be tactful when discussing something

Championship Ladders

The Fourth Championship Ladder is now open for sign-ups. We currently have 20 people signed up, so another 12 more and we can begin with the fighting. Below is the original news post that was sent out, with specific information on the ladder itself:

The Fourth Championship Ladder is now open for sign-ups. You can sign-up by logging into the ACC site and clicking on the "Ladders" link. From there, just hit subscribe and you're in. The Ladder itself won't open for at least a couple more weeks, but the sign-up phase may close sooner, if we hit 32 members.

This will be the last Ladder until the title of Supreme Champion is up for grabs. The 4 Champions will fight it out to see who faces the current "Supreme Champion". This is for that fourth and final spot. This is only your chance to really "show off" your skill, and not how many battles you can play in at once. All past winners have earned the right to be called a Champion, and this is now your chance to have this title.

Some of the "rules" for a CHL are as follows:

[CL:1] and above, only (i.e. you must be ACC qualified)

72 hour post time limit

Win/Loss does count

Time-outs are rated at face value (i.e. no posts required for a win)

Post count per round; (1) 6+2; (2) 6+2; (3) 8+2; (4) 8+2; (5) 10+2; (6) 10+2; etc...

Venues selected by CM

RoE allowed upon request only

No 'external/other' weapons are allowed to be brought into the battle (apart from those noted)

CS's for participants of ANY CHL/PCHL may not be approved for changes once the ladder has begun (can be updated once eliminated/battle has been judged for that round)

Weapons are lightsaber(s) and hand-to-hand only (or a "Champion"-level weapon for those below DJK, found in the ACC Armory)

*Species Guide *

This is one of the updates I had been talking about before. My thanks goes out to Dalthid for all of the coding work, and Kraval to getting some of the updates. The guide can be found here, and the spcies located here are the ones that "can" be used in the ACC. Also included are custom species and their specific information. If the species you currently use is not located on this list, and should be, please send me an e-mail with the information on the species. The criteria used is whether there is sufficient information (from a few sources) on the species; Can the species use the force and whether it exists in our time-line. If a species is not on this list, and you have it on your character sheet, don't be surprised if your CS is denied. "Human" is exempt :P

*Weapons Guide *

The Standard Weapons Guide has also been updated with more weapons. Thanks again to Dalthid and Kraval for their work on it. It can also be accessed here, and can be used to "choose" weapons to use in the ACC. These are specific SW-based weapons, and cover a wide range.

*Custom Weapons *

We are looking at changing some of Custom Weapon aspects. The idea is to have a "list" of Custom Weapons, much like the Standard Weapons. Instead of putting points in a Custom Weapons slot, your weapon instead will be located on a permanent list, with a detail description, image (if possible), weapon type (sword, blaster, etc...) and wielder (your name). As such, you will then only need points in a specific weapon type(s) to use your custom weapon. This will also allow you to use "regular" weapons, without dividing the points. Armour, items and other special abilities will continue to use the custom slots and must have points in them

Until the list is ready, please don't change your custom weapons. However, starting now, please [Log in to view e-mail addresses] the custom weapons you currently use, with their description and an image, if it has one. When the list is ready, I will make an announcement and your character sheets can then be updated to reflect the changes. Weapons must still follow the same guidelines, and will be denied if they don't. Also remember that there are limits to how many weapons you may bring to one battle.

Closing

As always, if anyone ever has any questions or comments for me, the best place to reach me is through e-mail at [Log in to view e-mail addresses]. You can also ask general questions about the ACC on this forum post. Have a great week.

In darkness,

DJM Halcyon Rokir
