Consul Report

First off, before you read this, read Shikyo's Herald report that's right below this one. Done? Ok, good.

Northern Coastline Kar Alabrek, Tarthos Orian System 1000 hours

"Security is tight, Sir, " the Dlarit Special Forces operative was saying as he and Locke walked across the wide boulevard, towering skyscrapers jutting up on either side of the elevated thoroughfare. Flanking the highway in rows hung tall banners, the emblem of Clan Naga Sadow and its two Houses rippling in a light breeze. The banners had been designed at the direction of Quaestor Jeric Cyrin himself, specifically intended for this event. "Every possible entrance to the area is blockaded and secure. Nothing gets in or out without us knowing about it."

"Nothing, " Locke repeated, nodding. The preparations for the Festival of Renewal had been going well. So far there had been no incidents with the so-called terrorist group known to Dlarit operatives as the "Organization." Locke could only hope it remained that way; a great deal depended on the success of the Festival, including Locke's future as Consul.

"And the skies?" the Krath asked, continuing the conversation as they walked, a half dozen more personnel following in their wake, each waiting for their own chance to speak.

The operative gestured up at the clouds overhead. "The Covenant is on station directly above us, ready to descend and crush any insurrection. Fighter squadrons are standing by as well."

"Excellent, " Locke stopped. His gaze rose to the skyline in the distance, a jagged ridge of towering cranes and half-finished structures. Though reconstruction efforts on the devastated city of Kar Alabrek had come far, much work remained to be completed. "Continue your work. The Festival begins in a week; everything must go precisely according to plan. Inform me immediately of any changes to the situation."

"Yes sir, " the operative said. He saluted and stepped away, allowing the next attendant to take his place.

Locke nodded once to indicate the next agent could begin to speak. "We have not received any reports on the location of Macron Goura Sadow. It is as if he has vanished." The agent quivered, as if expecting Locke to strangle him for the lack of information.

"I see, " the Consul said. He disliked not knowing the location of his predecessor, especially after their encounter on the Marakith Skyhook. Locke wondered if the confrontation had been a mistake. Truly, Macron's dangerous genetic research needed to be stopped, but what danger had Locke put himself and his cohorts in? Sooner or later, the Sith would show up again, and he would no doubt want Locke's head, along with that of his associates. The Sons had been quiet recently as well. Locke didn't want them to cause trouble in the middle of the Festival.

The agent was still waiting. "Keep me informed of any developments. Contact the Sons, get me a report on their current operations if possible." He needed a reason that wasn't suspicious. "I may have need of their abilities soon." That should do. The agent saluted and dispersed. Another took his place, but by the time he had begun speaking, Locke was already deep in thought.

Hey guys, welcome to my first report as Consul. Macron has been getting slammed in real life and had to step down. I want to thank him for his hard work over the past five months and congratulate him again on the Sapphire Blade he received for his dedication to Naga Sadow. Thank you again, Macron!

Many of you probably know me, but if you don't, I'm Locke Sonjie. I was Macron's Proconsul during his most recent time as Consul. I've enjoyed working with CNS as Proconsul, and I'm sure it's going to be great as Consul as well. I'm excited for the future.

First up, the Festival of Renewal will be starting one week from now. We had some great submissions for the Festival Banner competition. Congratulations to Jeric Cyrin for taking first place! His great submission is shown below:

The Festival is only a week away, so get ready!

In other news, the AWOL check just ended. We lost a lot of dead weight, but we're sitting pretty at 61 members on the Roster right now, which isn't bad. If you got AWOLed by mistake and are still seeing this and want to continue to be a member of the Clan, please email me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] immediately and we'll get that sorted out.

On the Old Republic side, Fremoc recently removed any member who had been inactive for 60 days or more from the guild's roster. If that's you and you wanted to continue being an active member of the guild, you need to get on the Brotherhood's channel and ask for an officer of the guild. They've also begun a guild bank 50/50, the details of which can be found here

Also of note is that the Ambitions Runon competition currently ends on May 10th. There are some excellent Runons going on for this event. If you have some time, head over to the forums and give them a read!

I'd also like to thank Teu for the report header and dividers!

Exodus Day was a couple of days ago. Along with it, Seals of Loyalty were awarded to members of the Brotherhood who have shown outstanding dedication to the club. Great job to do those who received them! Jeric Cyrin and myself received them from CNS, as well as Fremoc who hails from our Clan prior to being appointed to the Dark Council.

Exodus Day also sees the awarding of the coveted Silver Sash, a rare and prestigious award. This one goes to Fremoc, for his excellent dedication to the position of FIST and work on the Brotherhood's TOR guild. Great job Fremoc!

Furthermore, Kir Katarn has been awarded a Golden Lightsaber. This is the highest honor that can be awarded in the Dark Brotherhood, and Kir is only the second member of the Brotherhood who has not been a Grandmaster to receive it. Congratulations again Kir!

Finally, my appointment to Consul has caused some other positions in the Clan Summit to change. Teu Pepoi has stepped up as my Pronconsul. The two of us work together really well, even for two individuals who disagree quite often. If I'm doing something silly, I know Teu won't hesitate to tell me, and likewise.

Taking her spot as Rollmaster is Kalia Phoenyx. Kalia has basically acted as a Rollmaster for our Old Republic guild already, so she has a lot of experience working with people. She brings a new point of view and lots of enthusiasm to the table, and that's something I'm really glad to see.

Last but not least, a month and a half ago Tsingtao Ming had to step down as Quaestor of House Shar Dakhan. He did a great job, but like with Macron, real life started getting in the way. Atra Ventus took his place. He is another newer member, but has already proven himself with a strong presence on the Summit and his work on projects for the Clan.

Continuing steadily as Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos is Jeric Cyrin. Jeric, we're glad to have you in these tumultuous times.

To summarize, the current Summit is:

Consul: Locke Sonjie Proconsul: Teu Pepoi Rollmaster: Kalia Phoenyx Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos: Jeric Cyrin Quaestor of House Shar Dakhan: Atra Ventus

I think this group will be able to do some great things coming up. :)

That's it for this report.

TL;DR:

  • Macron steps down, receives Sapphire Blade
  • Festival well underway
  • AWOL check over
  • Summit changes

Until next time,

For Sadow!
