Consul Report

Howdy everyone,

It's close to the end of the month and time for another Consul report. This one will mostly be about scheduling and how things are laid out in the near future.

The Independence Games have just ended. I saw a lot of fun-looking competitions in a wide range of topics and I'm sure there was something there for everyone. I hope you all had a lot of fun with them. The results are processing as we speak so everything should be out and done sometime this week, if not a little later. My inbox has been exploding with new messages and I'm highly impressed with the size of the entire operation, from organization to participants for the whole club. It's pretty cool.

So four days ago, Raken's DGM report was released. It talked about the upcoming schedule, how the next Phase of the Crusade will be judged, and a whole bunch of other exciting stuff like Character Sheets. I'm just going to reiterate the schedule, in case you're confused.

This is how those Phases and Chapters break down for us:

Phase I: Chapter 1: Nfolgai Chapter 2: Khar Delba Chapter 3: May 17-31st

After Phase I ends, we have the entire month of June off to do whatever we want, which we'll be talking about in a little while. During this time we will be able to run our own little competitions and what not, but we probably won't do anything major because Phase 2 begins early in July. So that's like:

Phase II Chapter 1: July 2013 Chapter 2: August 2013 Chapter 3: September 2013

Those last two are tentative. We don't really know for sure whether something else will be done in there or what the exact schedule is. This is just here to give you an idea of how things are likely to progress.

As elaborated on in Raken's report and in an email sent out last week, Phase II will be judged differently. Rather than unit placing being based purely on participation, each Clouse will have a team of eight that compete based on placing with all of the teams from other units. Whoever wins from this group determines which Clouse places where, but participation is still important for fleet points and what not.

Now, if you don't get on this team, you may be feeling jipped. You have to remember, though, that those 8 people - and the 8 from each other unit - are being judged separately for each competition. So they will have a gold, silver, and bronze nova handed out for each event and everyone else will have a separate gold, silver, and bronze nova awarded. So if you feel like you always get beat by the same group of people, that will be a lot different this time around.

In other news, a new poll was recently created about the server issues with Undernet. In this poll, you can vote to show how much of an issue Undernet has been for you, from mild to severe. It's important to vote in this, whether Undernet is the bane of your existence or you don't get the issue with it at all. Everyone's opinion is important.

This poll can be found here: href="http://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/dbjedi/polling.asp">Polling Center

Go vote. It's open till May 31st, but it literally takes just a moment to vote and it's better to do it now than to wait and forget.

There's also a couple of other polls in the polling center. The most important of these is asking your thoughts on whether we should pause the Brotherhood's timeline until the new movies are released or to continue on as we have. This one is also found at the link above and it is open until the 29th of May.

Another important bit of news is that Drodik has stepped down from the position of Quaestor of House Odan-Urr. First, I'd like to say that I'm sure he'll be missed and in our few encounters he seemed like a pretty cool guy.

This means that Muz and Raken are taking applications for the position of Quaestor for Odan-Urr. If you feel that you have the ability to perform the duties of this position, I encourage you to apply. A lot of potential goes into it - and also a lot of responsibility. Make sure you're familiar with the House's lore and values - as well as the requirements of the position - before submitting an application.

Well, this one was a short report. Regardless, there's some important information in it, so I hope you read it. There's also a lot in Raken's report from a few days ago, so make sure you've read that as well!

That's it for this time!
