Hey Guys,

Dammmmnnnnn!! While I will leave specifics for Scion to announce, a lot seems to be going on right now:

Last round of the Dark Crusades is on
Big developments happening for our future content
Structure of the House (non-fiction) is being reconsidered
Military may be re-purposed in the near future
And you guys are pounding away on SWTOR like its your job

Tarentum, you're gonna look all shiny and new; I don't think the DJB will recognize you shortly.

But while Tarentum as a whole is advancing, your Aedile is still spinning his tires with this whole markdown crap. I had a whole night to feed my new addiction to Doctor Who, or finally play some SC2 with some DBers...but instead of enjoying any of this I thought I would deliver this report.

I hope you guys are bloody appreciative.

Graphics:

First and foremost, thanks to Anshar (and Raken I'm told) for the images. Recycling for the win. Nonetheless, graphics are something the summit is in need of. On a short list I have about 25 images that need creating, ranging from banners to landscapes and even maps. While I of course would prefer a Tarenti, because I'm selfish(?) and want to see Tarentum members awarded but I will never turn away ambition and dedication. If you are interested in doing some contract work for Tarentum so I can pepper you with as many medals Kalen and Howie will allow; fire me an email

AWOL Check:

Shortly after I arrived back in Tarentum, we witnessed an AWOL check. As we expected, we lost five members due to the check but the silver lining is we have 25 active members. Everyone who is here now had either logged into the site, or logged in recently to avoid being part of the check. I'm going to stay on top of this and email anyone that gets into the red zone - just to caution them. However, the important part is that we have 25 people here who for some reason are interested in what either the DB or Tarentum offers - the summit recognizes this and will be looking to deliver content straight to that 25 and any that join after. Keep your heads up for what we are planning.

Warbanner and Lightsaber Requests

In case you missed it, we have a new Herald in the DJB. Congrats to Orv, as well as to Socks his new P:HM. With the new staff changes, the Herald office is also taking Warbanner and Lightsaber requests again. Check it out: https://www.darkjedibrotherhood.com/news/20186

Starfighters coming to SWTOR Shortly

I know you guys have been following it, but just a reminder that coming Dec 1st for subscribers; Galactic Starfighters will launch on SWTOR. Preferred status gets it is January, and F2P follows in February. In the meantime though, in case you missed Oberst's email or the Fist's website post, the expansion is launching on the Public Testing Servers this weekend. Have fun guys!

The Dark Crusades

“Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but they refuse. They cling to the realm, or the gods, or love. Illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.”

I can't be the only one that feels these DB-wide events are a little...chaotic. Its not a criticism of how they are ran, but its interesting to see the membership's reactions. Over the course of the last year we have seen many members of the DB rise and fall, some almost famously. It's the thrill of all of this that keeps me interested, maybe the love of drama makes me a little petty but the thrill for challenges keeps me engaged with the events.

This is why I am still a member of the Dark Brotherhood, and why I am back here in Tarentum now. The thrill is inspiring for myself and I have seen many of you express the same- so please keep it up. However, to those that hesitate, perhaps even feeling like things are "broken"; I urge you to test the ladder again. The climb is fun.

As you may have seen on the mailing list, I wish to regularly incorporate SWTOR screenshots of Tarentum members into my Aedile report. This week, we have 3 submitted by Oberst.
