Sadowans,

I apologize for the tardiness of this update. I meant to do this A LOT sooner, unfortunately that did not play out for me, at least the last 48 hrs definitely did not. There was a driver at VA drop out so ended up filling in and drove some vets down to the airport and brought a few home. “Well, what the hell does that have anything to do with a Clan update?” Please bear with me for just a moment. My thought process will be as clear as mud in just a moment. There is just a small story to my madness.

Recently the Clan went on the hunt for a new PCon. We received three Solid applicants that competed for the job. We received one out of Clan and two in Clan applicants, and let me tell you, the selection process at least from my P.O.V., was indeed a process to come to a conclusion. Let alone a expedient one. I probably made it more difficult for myself, but I wanted to make sure I did justice by that process.

First, I want to thank each of the applicants for their time and interest. I enjoyed great conversations in regards to each candidate's plan of attack, their outlook and their goals. Having such high caliber members in the Club definitely has its perks! I know not everyone wants a Summit spot, I get it. I have mad respect for folks wanting to take a shot at the opportunity and better our enjoyment. There is an equal amount of respect for those that say “Not for me or not at this time” when asked. When the time comes for that to be on your radar or when you feel you're ready, let’s talk. Meanwhile, I will keep surveying and taking notes.

I am still babbling about. As I said earlier, I filled in at the VA carpool and made a couple trips down to Denver airport. Ended up having to take a different route and wound up sitting in Denver rush hour traffic just passed the Top Golf facility. As of 17:35 p.m. MST Nov 7th, I continued to deliberate this decision in my head. Course my OSD kicked in and I broke out the phone to go over apps yet again.

I could not help but overhear one of the vets telling another passenger, “Just pull the trigger on it.” Noted good Sir, duly noted! Time to put the big boy pants on and make the call. So without further adieu, I would like to announce that GM Muz Ashen will be taking on the role of PCon! He and I will dive right in and formulate our game plan for us. We have floated a couple concepts around already so the gears are in motion. Expect things to start flowing down the CNS pipeline soon.

Finally, I cannot underscore enough how thankful CNS is to ALL the applicants. When I said solid applicants and a tough decision, that is not an exaggeration. This Club is lucky to have folks such as yourselves amongst our Star Wars family. Your outlook and character definitely made my decision difficult and I am sorry for holding up the process and busting my own deadline. Mad respect for each of you, thank you so much!

Final Thoughts

Finally right! My soapbox was a little long in the tooth today, many thanks for sticking through it! The cogs of this Sadowan machine are very much free & turning folks. I am excited for us and for the adventures headed our way! We will always encounter a few bumps along the way, but we will navigate those obstacles together. When those do arise we will clear our path and leave our footprint in true Sadowan style, with a boot to the throat!
