Be on the lookout for a full report coming towards the middle of this month but I'd be remiss not to put out at least a notice of the new judge selection for the Antei Combat Center. So, that's what I'm going to be doing here quickly with this one!

Truthfully, I kept asking on telegram for you all to give me a difficult choice when it came to this selection and you know what? Be careful what you ask for. I've never had a tougher call to make and it wasn't one I made entirely alone. We looked at the strengths of the applications themselves as well as the relevant experience within the ACC that we could find, if not linked to us directly. Primarily, the focus was on the ability to understand the system and the ability to deal with others. This came about due to our focus on ensuring that the member base is not just participating in the ACC, but growing as writers. Obviously, we had to look at the upcoming Creative Writing Workshops as a factor even though it isn't quite here yet.

So, with all that poking around and weighing of the qualities on display, the decision was made:

Blade Ta'var

That's right! Blade, the current Quaestor of House Excidium in Clan Scholae Palatinae, has been selected as the next judge. Some of you may know her from, well, Scholae. Others might recognize her as one of the stars, and the victor, of the Journeyman ACC Tournament. She also snagged herself one of them Avatar of Strife titles (I gotta get me one of those some day!)

I hope you all join me in welcoming her to staff! She is going to do great based on what we've seen so far, and hopefully she'll help a lot of you in your own development as writers! Remember that there will be a training period for her, so keep that in mind as you are finishing up your matches as you may get selected for one of her first runs!
