What do you mean I have to do this?
- Jack, obviously
Capitol Spire, Western Continent, Quermia Quermian System, Nilgaard Sector 43 ABY
Silver hair caught in the midday light as Masahiro Haku looked out over Quermia’s capital, his intense eyes took in the sights of the ruins below. Two guards flanked the High Councilor, one an intense Zeltron, the stark pink tones of her hair and skin offset by her white cape and bodysuit. The other, a stark white Lepi, dressed in the armor of the Templar Jensaarai.
"They say war is written by the victorious, but what of the disenfranchised?" His bitter voice echoed throughout the room as he stared over the ruins of the southern district.
It had been the scene of heavy bombardments throughout the early days of the war. It faced setbacks as the Quermian people attempted to restore it to its earlier glory, from crumbling infrastructure, lack of materials, or a lack of available personnel. The High Councilor sighed.
"For a year, Quermia has suffered as history was rewritten and attacked by the children of those who were left behind in the wake of Operation Vanguard, the disenfranchised youths whose futures were driven by the nobles who drove Undelm under the Tibana-rich clouds of Kiast when the Vatali demonized anyone and everyone in the vicinity, service, or related to those who once schemed against the crown, regardless of their views at the time. Wounds long left to fester have finally begun to heal in the wake of new injuries and the loss of many lives beyond the initial conflict." The half-Arkanian shook his head as he approached the Quermian representative and took their hand, giving them a firm handshake.
"But who tells the history of today? Us Quermians, our world nearly razed as a product of someone else's war, lucky to walk away? The Vatali Empress, who you say unjustly silenced her critics with the threat of violence, while simultaneously waging a just war against those who would seek to depose her after they attempted to overthrow our government? Or your Jedi, keepers of the peace, who were again drawn into conflict?" The representative asked, as they motioned to the seat across from them for their guest to sit.
"Each will have their own tale to tell, and no one tale will be the same." The Jedi said as he found himself a seat. “It will be up to future generations to find the truth between the common threads in each story to understand the truth of it all.”

The Western Marches Wages On
Odanites, we’ve entered the final month of the Western Marches, and with the progress you’ve made on all fronts, the Vauzem Separatists are now standing on their last legs. I’ll be releasing a pair of full fictions later this month detailing the late stages of the conflict, as well as collecting all of the stages of the war into a single fictional resource as we finally properly update the Wiki for the event. Running this event for the last year has taught us a few things and nailed down that there are a few logistical elements we need to handle better as we go into next year's campaign. Primarily around pacing, fictional updates, Wiki management, and redundancies in case of health/management of one of the running parties.
All of that said, the Vauzem have been pushed back to their final holdouts through your combined efforts over the last year. Gaming and Roleplaying have been massive elements in this endeavor. Consistently gaining ground month after month as we’ve pushed the envelope and shoved our adversaries back without losing ground.
This month’s events are going to be focused on cleaning up the holdouts, re-establishing ground for the Quermians, and preparing to disentangle ourselves from the system.

What’s on the Horizon
Following the finale of The Western Marches, we will be taking a two-month hiatus between Campaigns, allowing us to return to the Clubwide Seasons event before we kick off the next Campaign. The interim will still have over-arching storyline activities, but they will be about ”what comes after” and introductory events to the next Campaign, and are meant to be much more relaxed and without any weight outside of narrative exposition, closure, and character development. For those interested, this period will just be a chance to learn about what’s going on without having to invest any major effort, for those with less interest, extra competitions!
Beyond this, we will continue apace with our normal House and Battleteam Storylines as the events of Tythas and Kaal continue to heat up, all the while the Knights of Allusis and Templar Jensaarai come to terms with their new leadership and roiling events shaking their foundations.
It’s been a few months since we got one of these out and that’s not acceptable. We had things going on, and while one of us had an acceptable reason, the other did not. I apologize deeply for not stepping in and getting information out to you all in a timely manner.
Not only did a lot of important news get lost in the absence created by, well, me, we didn’t get to shine the light on members who had gone above and beyond. Didn’t showcase members who made achievements and that is not acceptable. Going forward, I promise to do better to make sure these reports get out in a more timely manner.
So we have a lot to go over because it’s been a while since we got one of these out, so we’re just gonna give a few highlights instead of Jack’s initial plan of going back to the beginning of March. That would just be silly.
*Thran gave us a report where he talks about changes to vehicles that’s worth going back over in case you missed it.
*Thane gave us the Pulsefeed which gives us a bit of insight into what the other Clans (and us) and the DC are doing fictionally. This is always worth a read and I highly recommend it.
*Uji gave us a report of his own where he yells at us tells us how to stop having so many remands when submitting our gaming screenshots.
*Idris gave us a lot of fun things such as Lepi, Evereni, in addition to Nightsister Magicks, and a report where Resolve is Resolved. And that wasn’t all we got from Idris either.
*We also got Chapter 3 of Parabellum dropped on us.
*Rhylance is hiring for many positions. If you’re looking for something to do, I recommend you give this a look and see if you feel that you can help the Shadow Academy in those ways. For many of us, the SA was the first task we worked at and it always needs love and attention.
*Anders, our Combat Wombat, gave us a whole report full of new venues!
*As you may have noticed, Thran open up some select stocks in the Celebration store (Only open until the 11th) and the Ascent Emporium. The items in the Emporium will be cycled out to the other stores after one month.
*Bale and his wonderful staff gave us some beautiful options for dossier arts. Be sure to go give them a look and enjoy the beautiful art provided to us by them.
*Season 1 Cycle 2 also began and you can find the list of competitions here.
*And last, but not least, the club celebrates 30 years this year. Our Grand Master Dacien touched on it in his report. As someone who has seen a fair amount of that history, this has been a really wild ride. We’ve had wars with each other, wars with the Council, wars with the Jedi, wars with Vong force-resistant aliens. In the long run, we’ve had a lot of fun and made a lot of memories. Let’s go for another 30 years of memories, shall we?
We had a bit of a kerfluffle with the way the site reported some things and the way our spreadsheet registered some things. Despite a few health issues, Wolfe managed to get them sorted out (mostly because I kept whining at him - probably - )
For the month of February, we had some pretty stiff competition between Turel, Edgar, and Syrena, placing in that order. I’m surprised the bacta bill wasn’t higher with how much they were duking it out.
In March, we saw a rehash of February with Edgar, Turel, and Syrena (placing in that order), once again hot on each other’s heels. Was there an upset in April? Were these three titans once more dominating everything around them?
Almost. Turel (1st) and Edgar (3rd) continued their little feud with Tierra (2nd) coming out of nowhere with enough points to unseat Syrena in the top three. Will we ever see the dazzling songstress/rancor tamer again? Stay tuned for next month as I’m sure the competition will heat up once again!

My favorite part of these things is the part where we get to shout out all of the people who got new shinies recently.
We had a lot of shinies and a lot of promotions this month. Let’s get cracking, shall we?
PROMOTIONS!
March:
*Miho, aka Jack, finally made it to Elder and a lot of people turned out to say some very pretty words. (I still tear up about it, thank you all).
May:
*Everyone’s favorite space trucker and composer, Frenek Mausma, snagged a really sweet cup of coffee (hehe) right here.
*Remalia is happily no longer a Journeyman, reaching Equite 1 as well.
*Esen Dulle is also a newly minted Equite, and Wolfe is once again being a menace, attaching gifs to things.
*Dolot “Dot” Varis has scooted all the way to JM1 in very short order.
*Catamir and Zen von Hellman both made it to Nov3 with Rurr making it to Nov4. These three are all making their own waves and we’re eagerly watching them.
I think that’s all the promotions we have to cover. If I missed you, please let me know and I’ll correct the oversight in our next report.
AWARDS:
There have been a ton of these and I think trying to hunt them all down will be horrifying and I would absolutely miss them. So, please this one time, permit me to give a blanket:
All of you have been absolutely stellar and earned everything you got. I’m proud of all of you and I can’t wait to see what else you can get up too!
I don't have any fancy personalized assets to add in for a signature. Sorry :(
