Leadership Changes

Howdy y’all. This is your friendly, Kicky Quaestor speaking. I’m sure that most of you have already noticed this, but I have been able to interact with all of you, and the club and general, little and less than I should have in the last several months. The reasons for this are plain to see. As I delve further into my time as a cadet at West Point, the restrictions on my time grow tighter, and the demands placed on my mind and body ever higher, especially as I seek to excel beyond the common level. This is especially true this semester, as I have taken it upon myself to tackle an overloaded course sequence of 22 Academic Hours. To put it simply, I’ve had to make a lot of sacrifices in my extracurricular activities.

Arcona is extremely special, and deeply important to me. I found y’all at a dark time in my life, and through your friendship, have risen to a much better, much brighter place. My experience leading Galeres, from my time as a BTL to now, has made an indelible mark on my own philosophy of leadership, and my own personal character. None of that will ever change. But, I am no longer able to be the leader that you need. Galeres deserves a Quaestor that can devote the time and energy necessary to guide the House forward, to shape and develop it, to lead it through fierce competitions. I have not been able to do that, and will not be able to do so for the foreseeable future.

I would like to thank all of you for your patience, your kindness, and your friendship. I, and Sera, will stick around. We still have stories to tell, after all.

Admin Notes

Well, it has been a hot minute Galeres, what with the war and all, so this report can be roundly summed up as our “Summer report”. In the last two months, we’ve resolved the war on Eldar, fought our way through another Great Jedi War directly on our doorstep, and emerged resoundingly victorious. As per usual! But, with all that said, we’ve also had a few weeks to rest our spirits, to begin repairing our home of Fort Blindshot, and most importantly, prepare for what’s coming next….

Event Calendar

The Blindshot Games have now concluded and the final tallies are in.

Additionally we had great activity from Kaled Atros, Rrogon Skar Agrona, Nicfer Luthol, and Luka Zarkot. Thank you all for your participation and expect a fiction coming soon related to the event as well as conclusion to Eldar and Fort Blindshot affairs.

News

-Pulsefeed has been updated from the JST to summarize what all clans have been up to. This would be a great read for a brief update.
- Combat Writing 1 Action Beats is an new report from the Professor Zentru’la who has been publishing reports such as this. - Headmaster Appointment was announced and Arch (Alethia Archenksova) was appointed to this position.
- Herald Report updated about Vendetta Rewards and a New Rule for the Art chat related to offering commissions.
- From the sister House: Voidbreaker Report and Qel-Droma Report Please show them support!
- FIST Report related to GMRG New updates to the GMRG Overhaul, Multimedia Content, and Live Events. - Exarch Report discusses updates to the roleplaying content in DB.
-Voice Report and Convenant Amendment discuss the removal of “Dark” for the content of the Dark Brotherhood. There is much work still to be done but the Dark Council is to be known as “Da Council”.

Competitions

With those wrapped up, we can kick off right into…

• Book Review Competition going on until 10-25 and looks like an exciting way to discuss some media in a review.
  
• Dog Fighting Gaming for those who play Star Wars Squadrons, this would be a great way to get some activity in.
  
• Bespin and Kashyyk are some good ways to get some activity in for graphics. Just design the planet in the prompt and there you go!
  
• Star Wars Character Building Series Have some thoughts on how to build Rey Skywalker in our character sheets? Here is a competition to get those thoughts cashed into rewards! Finn would be another way to build a Loadout for our boy, Finn.
  
• Here is the Annual Podracing Championship which you can participate in and show support to Aru.
