A New Addition

I wanted to take a minute to congratulate Bloodfyre (Beef) on his new baby! Cameron was born December 1st and 6:59pm. He has stated that his wife and the baby are doing well! Congrats Beef!

Jakku

Star Wars Battlefront's first DLC will be free to all owners of the Star Wars Battlefront game. It releases December 8th, but those who pre-ordered the game received access to it yesterday with a download file of around 1.5GB. The newest game mode is now fully supported and will net you a standard of 3 Clusters of Fire for a valid submission. Below are the contents of the Battle of Jakku DLC.

Turning Point game mode

Turning Point is a vast Star Wars Battlefront game mode for 40 players, included in The Battle of Jakku. The Rebels spawn in and need to locate three control points in Imperial control and try to capture one of these. The clock is ticking, but if the Rebels succeed with a capture additional time will be added and new control points will be available for capture. Moving through these increasingly challenging checkpoints, the ultimate goal is the Empire’s base where the final stand will take place.

Two new exciting maps

• Graveyard of Giants

Fight on the Graveyard of Giants in Turning Point, Supremacy, Walker Assault, and Fighter Squadron

• Goazan Badlands

Experience the badlands of Goazan in Blast, Drop Zone, Droid Run, Cargo, Hero Hunt, and Heroes vs. Villains.

Episode VII Celebration and The Battle of Jakku

It’s an extremely exciting time to be a fan of Star Wars. Episode 7 comes out in 15 days. Thanks to this the Dark Council has brought us a fun low pressure event in celebration of it. The Fist Office is running The Battle of Jakku. Details weren’t released, because the DLC wasn’t released. However, those of us who pre-ordered have access to it now. Val would like to address the competition specifically so watch for an update on this.

December Gaming Releases

Here are some releases coming out in December.

• Just Cause 3 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC
• Rainbow Six: Siege on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

That’s the only large releases for the month. It’s slow, but that gives you time to catch up on your backlog!

We secretly are in cahoots with all Star Wars freemium games. We pander to the DB members begging them to play and have fun and in exchange...we hand out crescents clusters. You've caught us!

• Turel asked “What are you thoughts on striking the balance between promoting newer platforms and creating activities that are accessible to more memebers?”

Balance is something the Fist Staff always strives for. We have more options available for members than ever with Mobile Gaming competitions, Monthly gaming competitions, Member ran competitions and a wide range of platforms available. I personally will have some suggestions that will hopefully allow even more platforms to be used in the future within the next few months if approved.

• Aabsdu asked “Does the Fist Staff use real or artificial Christmas trees?”

I personally have a 3 foot artificial tree that's not getting setup this year cause the 1 year and 2 month old would destroy it

• Lexic asked “Does this mean Val is stepping down? Because you're answering these? :O :P”

Val replied “It means Ernor likes talking to people more than me :p Ok jokes aside, part of being on the DC is training up your Praetor to replace you one day (if the GM/DGM choose to have them as the next person). Everything going on related to Ernors increasing responsibilities are related to this. One day I will definitely resign, I have no intention to remain on the DC longer than 3 years. For those tracking, that would be July 2016.

• Mark asked “given it clearly has major issues with its rng, does pazaak have a future?”

Pazaak personally isn't my favorite platform. I doubt it would get discontinued however in the near future simply because it's one of the few options available for free to the members with very low PC requirements. (I can even do it on my phone or tablet) We've noticed the PvP Score and Cluster reduction has reduced the spam there used to be though and feel it's brought gaming to a closer balance.
