House Shar Dakhan Aedile Update - September 30th, 2014

Inos System
M-CRV Reaper's Call
Three Days Before Project D.I.E.

Locke stood on the bridge of the Reaper's Call, looking out at the distant violet gas giant of Inos as he listened to the ship's hum. An old Marauder Corvette, it had once been modified by Mirado and Locke under the former's Quaestorship and the latter's time as Consul to operate on clandestine missions - back when the Clan anticipated doing many of those. As such, it's interior was unusually darkened to suit it's nature, with advanced servers, databanks, and intelligence equipment lining it's corridors, making it even more cramped than before. Locke watched as two TIE Hunters of it's equipped squadron slid away from the corvette, almost disappearing into the blackness of space.

Why had the Summit sent Locke out here, anyway? Supposedly, as Aedile of House Shar Dakhan, Inos and it's moons were his responsibility to look after, but they were the most desolate in the system. Shirai watched over Aeotheran and Kalon over Tarthos, and those made sense, but even Maelous had Amphor, with it's city and mining colonies. Inos was...nothing, except some ancient tombs, if Locke remembered correctly. He doubted his intelligence on those was up to date.

"I haveā€¦.matters to attend to," Locke said aloud. "Find us a place to establish a base in this desolate system."

Introduction

Hey guys. It's been awhile since I did a report, and this one will not be very long. This will just be a quick, short update on a few things that are going on for now. As for the fiction above, I've decided I'm going to include a short little fiction on what's going on behind the scenes in the system from Locke's perspective. Our Runons are about the fun, exciting missions where we engage in big battles, assassinations, or kidnapping and the like, but what happens in our day to day running of the system and how does that develop?

That question is what these fictions will attempt to answer. I'm going to try to keep them pretty short, so they don't take up a lot of space before you get to the meat of the report.

Member Acknowledgement

First, I want to cover the most important stuff, and that's what's going on with you guys, our members.

Right now, I'd like to congratulate Daedric once again on making it to Dark Jedi Knight, and also on the birth of his son. Congrats man!

I'd also like to recognize Mandeo, for quickly rising to Guardian on his way through the Journeyman ranks.

In addition, I'd like to welcome Shi Long back to the House, otherwise known as Tsainetomo in the past. He was Consul when we became a Clan from an Independent House and someone I'm really glad to see back in the Clan.

Next, Methyas has stepped down from Rollmaster, so we also welcome him back to our roster. Thanks for choosing us, Methyas!

Happenings

The current Runon, Project D.I.E., is well underway, and has been extended multiple times to allow us time to finish the plot, which is fine. Take it easy, enjoy the story and the interaction as we accomplish our mission.

Also, as you may have noticed if you read Macron's recent report, Clan Rollmaster applications are open right now. There was no deadline set in his report, so I assume you have something like a week and sooner is better than later. This may be a great opportunity to learn a lot and is an essential position to the Clan as well. There's never any harm in applying, even if you think you have no chance of getting it. If nothing else, it will get your name out in the open and show the Summit that advancing and becoming a leader in the Brotherhood is something you are interested in. But make no mistake - this is an important position, and you should be serious about it if you are applying. The important things to remember is to be committed and be dedicated and hardworking, and you can help the Clan and advance yourself.

Other Stuff

Boy, when I said that was short, I wasn't kidding. In other news, I'll be running a couple of competitions shortly. I'm aiming for a medium-sized fiction as well as something that's pretty easy to do quickly, but still has a fictional hook to it. I'm hoping that will make them pretty interesting to you guys. Don't worry, I'll announce them when they start.

We also have some House projects the Summit will be working on soon. First and foremost among these is our wiki, which needs a major overhaul. Are you interested in helping out with this? If you are, please give one of us an email or IM and let us know. We'd love to have your assistance.

That's pretty much it at the moment. Until next time.

Locke
