Introduction

What is up my Tyrant orphans?(non-orphans too) Scudi(and Julius) here with our second report as the leadership of House Tyranus. So here’s how this month’s report is going to go. First up, we’ll cover the activity of Tyrants in the past month. Then we’ll move on to talk about organising competitions. We’ll also look at the competitions currently available and the news posts out there before tying everything together in a pretty little dark bow at the end.

As you can see, things look good given the festive period, bolstered by the addition of many new faces over the festive and new year period. To our new faces, we say welcome to Tyranus and to our old faces, we still love you and show these younglings what it means to be a valuable member of our community.

Tyranus Lore Developments

As some of you may recall, last month we ran the Tyranus: Grand Opening event to celebrate the launch of this glorious house. I’m glad to say that accounting for the holidays we managed to get a good number of entries to most of the competitions. Within that event, there were 3 competitions that provided opportunities to contribute to the lore of House Tyranus. These were the motto, HQ/Location and NPC competitions. It is with great pride that I direct you to the Tyranus roster page where you will see our House motto “Will is Everything.” This was a submission to the motto competition by our very own Lokast Falls. From the HQ design competition, we arrived on Khryso’s entry as the base of the House and we also added in Mark’s submission. If you’d like to read about our home, visit the Fort Dooku wiki page. In the coming days we’ll look to put together something to gauge the enthusiasm levels for building lore and what form that should take, so look out for that being sent out on the mailing list.

Comp Organising

As you may have noticed, we’ve not mentioned anything about an event this month. That’s for a couple of reasons. There’s the feud with Vizsla next month, that’s a big one. But another important reason is that we as a leadership group wanted to leave the floor open for you guys to run your own event. If you’re wondering what you can do to give back or earn your next award/promotion then running a competition is a start. This is because it shows the growth of a member from someone who is able to consume content generated in the form of competitions to someone who is also able to generate that content for their fellow club members. If you have an idea and need some help in figuring out how to make it into a competition, let one of us know and we’ll do our best to help you out. Speaking of competitions, that’s our next segment, so give it a look and see what strikes your fancy.
