A Message from the Quaestor

Hallo my lektastic Qel-Dromites!

WAR!

It’s what’s going on right now! Have you noticed? If you haven’t, How have you not?! We are defending our “Home” of Arx from the usual scumbags of the Collective, who’re trying to check out some tomes without a proper Shadow Academy library card, but something is telling me that this is only the beginning. So come join us and do your part for making sure Arcona, and House Qel-Droma, come out of this Great Jedi War with chests full of medals and so much glory we don’t even know what to do with it all!

For those of you who’re already doing your part, thank you! It’s been great to see your enthusiasm and as the war picks up, we will be needing it! The first week is behind us, with another four to go. Phase 1 is half-way done, which means the second week is still left for polishing your best efforts and contributing to the Event-long stuff.

Remember that every point counts, but the first entry in each Bucket counts most. So do your Buckets, polish your best entries, and Let’s Win This War!

A Message from the Aedile

Hello there!

I hope you all are doing fine in these troubled times both on Earth and on Arx. War is in full swing now after its first week and it’s only escalating. It’s in our hands now to save the Brotherhoods’ home system of Arx and, most importantly, renew our status of first Clan!

It’s great to see so many of you already ticking the boxes on most competition bins, and we’re only on week 1! Great job everyone. If by any chance you’re still no in the Clan’s war chat, please contact us so that we can add you there.

I’ll finish by reminding you that we don’t want anyone burning themselves out because they feel an obligation to do as many competitions as possible. You don’t! Do as many as you’d like but never with a sense of obligation to the House or Clan. We want you to have fun, not Stress!

Quaestor’s Office

The Quaestor’s private comm link beeped and flashed red, indicating a message from the Consul, and rousing Tali Sroka from her focused work over several House matters. Across the room, Karran Val’teo was explaining the new layout he had come up with for the Voidbreaker II to Aru Law.

“And in the middle section of the ship, the very desired sauna,” he enthusiastically said while pointing at the image on the datapad, “improved and bigger.”

Tali wasn’t paying attention to the two men who were a little too excited about the sauna idea for her liking. Instead, since her private message had finished being deciphered, she started reading her datapad.

“And what about a massage parlour right next to it?” The Human suggested. “It wouldn’t take much space and we could hire an expert masseuse to do the job…” his personal commlink also gave a signal. “Hold on.” He said as he checked who it was.

“The VHAT!?!” Tali’s scream was unexpected. She usually kept her composure. Aru immediately approached her table.

“Arx is under attack!” Both Tali and Aru exclaimed simultaneously.

During the calm before the storm, our House hasn’t been calm at all!

• New Member! Yeah! Join us in officially welcoming Farsythe to our House. And congratulations on climbing the ranks already to ‘’Novitiate II’’. We hope you enjoy it here Farsythe!

• We are very proud to officially put a medal on Emere’s chest, awarding her the rank of Major. Congratulations on your promotion Emere and have fun in the Equite league!

• Archian got promoted to Yeoman (Journeyman III). Great job! You’re one step closer to receiving the rank of Professional, which marks the end of your apprenticeship. Go Archain!

• Alaisy Tir’eivra and Karran Val’teo have both been awarded a Seal of Loyalty! Congratulations to you both. You deserve the award!

• Aru Law is one of the new Magistrates to the Headmistress of the Shadow Academy! But no, you don’t have unlimited access to any artifact of your liking.

What an amazing month with all this activity! Alaisy gets number top spot in our leaderboard with an incredible 46 points! Great job! Coming in second we have our Quaestor Tali with 21 points, and followed right after, comes Sulith with 19 points, a very close battle there! Then, we have our newly appointed Major Emere with 9 points and last but not least, your Horny Captain, Karran, with 5 points. Overall, it was a great month with activity as a lot of the competitions were closing to give room for the war. Great job everyone and keep this amazing participation going through the war!

• There is only really one thing to do this month: WAR!
• But if you want some easy Bucket fillers: Try this for a fully verbal item description + poem combo! Remember to identify your chosen poetic style, though!
• I know that Maths isn’t what you’d think of as a quick and easy submission, but remember that any score submission counts as participation! Do It!
• Want to draw for your contribution? Have some Graphics! Draw Mav’s elusive vision, it can be almost anything! No wrong answers. The Force moves in mysterious ways, after all and the Dark Side is a Pathway to… you know the rest
  

If you’ve already participated in all the Phase-1 buckets, take a moment to either polish your best entries, or maybe have a quick peek at these Event-long options!

• Who doesn’t like puzzles? This one is for the Event-long Bucket, so focus on the previous suggestions first, m’kay?
• Small team Co-op is another Event-long fiction comp. If you’re not yet in a team, let your leaders know that you’re interested and we’ll get you sorted!
• As for Event-long Gaming? Just climb that PvP ladder as usual!

In Closing…

Wartime is stressful and demanding. The Clan and House all expect us to perform and much is on the line. We hope to see you all do your best, and even when you don’t feel like you can give it, we will appreciate every effort you make. Together we can win this, as every tiny stream will form the tidal wave of our combined participation!

The club is still meant as a fun experience, however, so if you feel the balance of pressure-to-enjoyment skewing too unfavorably, do not hesitate to reach out. We’ll be in contact with all of you throughout the War and make sure you’re doing well. We want your best, but also want your best. I know I’ve felt the pressure to perform in Wars past, but talking it out has helped me and ensured each event was still an enjoyable one to reminisce. We know we can count on you, because we are Qel-Droma, we are Arcona and there is one thing we do above all else:
