Hi guys,
This report will summarize our recent event, the Caper on the Hydian Way. We also have an upcoming CNS event called Going Viking, as well as a chat-based runon thing going on on Discord right now. In addition, we'll also be running another event in March, but I don't have much to say about that yet!
And also, even though it was over a month ago now, I'd like to congratulate Koji on making Elder. Pretty badass!
Well, this was fun. I may be slightly biased, since I placed first overall. Also from HMR, Sang got 2nd place, Muz got 3rd, and Koji tied for 4th overall. Sadly…that's also everyone from HMR who participated in the event! The clan's participation as a whole wasn't much higher, so this is something I want to address as Quaestor.
We recognize that this is pretty low participation and we're looking into it. Maybe we can do things to make this stuff more fun. Maybe people didn't participate because they forgot or this just isn't the kind of thing you like to do. There's a lot of possibilities. We always welcome feedback, but we won't wholly rely on that.
The main point I want to make is that we recognize this and it's not going unnoticed. We're not shrugging our shoulders and saying "oh well."
That said, I love that those of you who did participate are keeping me on my toes. I think I narrowly edged out Sang and Muz…and that was only by doing all but one of the competitions and spending some extra time on the flash games to get higher scores. I look forward to having to try harder in the future and participating in some fun stuff alongside you guys, like the upcoming Going Viking event.
Speaking of fun, there's this RP thing on the Discord. I haven't participated in it myself yet, but I've seen a lot of discussion on it and it seems pretty easy and low pressure. Short posts are fine, you don't have to worry about doing much, and you can just play your character and play along. This is a low pressure, easy to start way to use your character sheet that you spent so much time on, not to mention all that stuff the Regency has been providing for us to purchase. So far Koji is the only HMR member who has joined in, so let's try to give him some help.
Also, the current happenings take place in Markosian City! So it's right on our front porch. We should probably get in there…

In a recent Regent report it was announced that clan leaders can now purchase planetary defenses like shields, defensive stations, bases, and weapons. They also provided more credits to work with. While this may not directly affect a lot of you, I just wanted to note it here. If you have ideas or thoughts on this (after reading the report), I'd love to hear them. That said, I've also got my professional consultant for all things Possessions-related working on this, Hades.
This event, run by Malisane and Tasha, starts tomorrow! It runs 29 days until the 20th of March and includes 9 competitions. You can find them all here. There's also fiction updates included in our fiction repository, you can find them here.
Malisane also says there will be more information released when it actually starts, which will probably be coming out sometime in the next 24 hours, so keep an eye out for that!
That's all I have for now. I'm really looking forward to this Going Viking thing. I want to get involved in the Discord runon thing, and possibly do some more gaming with the clan/house members as well.
Oh, and work on my personal possessions. I could spend hours on that…
