Greetings, Jedi!

A lot has changed in the last few months. We’re no longer the House Odan-Urr of old, and have long since developed past the point of no return. While the last two events set the foundation for two different stories that will continue, Tides of Change is our first inter-Clan event since becoming Clan Odan-Urr, and will influence our future interactions with them. Until now, we were often sheltered from the rest of the Brotherhood. Tides of Change gives us the chance to meet the members we wouldn’t normally interact with. We have the chance to build stories and friendships with these members. I cannot stress how important it is to get to know members outside of the Clan. After all, we’re all part of the same club. Who knows - perhaps this will lead to some cooperative personal fictions in the future?

In addition, Salbecca, our most recent Battle Team Leader of the Knights of Allusis has decided to step down. Over the last three months, he aided us in drawing more interest to the Battle Teams, and encouraged members to participate throughout the last two (and current) events held since being elevated to Clan status. We thank him for his efforts, and have asked that he retain the role of Battle Team Leader in whatever capacity he can manage until the end of Tides of Change. After this event, we will make a call for applications to fill the role, so be ready!

Tides of Change

A Clan Odan-Urr and Clan Arcona feud

In Case You Missed It...

Arconan Fleet

Bridge of the NSD Invicta

It was the deep breath before plunging into the unknown. The glinting sparkle of light dappling on cold water before diving into the deep silence beneath. The heartbeat before a heart stopped.

Arranged in formation against the backdrop of space zipping by at hyperspeeds, the Arcona Expeditionary Force was a magnificent sight to behold. Utilizing the standard screen formation, each ship was positioned for maximum firepower on arrival, neglecting defensive strategies. It was clear that the battle was intended to end as fast as it would begin.

It was to be a massacre...

Find the rest of the opening fiction here!

The Second Week has Begun

The O’reenians have launched a second assault against the combined forces of the Clan of Light and the Shadow Clan. Even while the battle for Sanctuary wages on in the skies above New Tython, the war has spread on all fronts. In an effort to divide the Clans’ attention, the O’reenians have launched shuttles onto the surface and threaten to complete their mission to reclaim Fireteam Echo. Suffering casualties and losses, Clan Arcona has launched an operation with the aid of Clan Odan-Urr to recover their escape pods, before those stranded crewmembers are hunted down by O’reenian forces.

Tides of Change

In the interest of helping with team events, we released a signup form that ran for the first week of the event. Note that the window for placement in these team events is now closed, meaning that members who sign up from now on will be ineligible for placement in team events, but can always join or form a team late and participate (this will still earn you and your Clan some points, and it's fun).

As listed in the individual competition details, the following restrictions remain in place (Note that a group will not be disqualified for placement if team members fail to meet the minimum post requirements; instead that member will be disqualified from placement in the competition):

  • Teams or pairs must consist of at least one member from each Clan, so long as numbers allow (some teams are mixed)

  • For the RO, teams must have a minimum of five members, but no maximum

  • For the BP, teams must have two to six members

  • For the (week 2) co-op fiction, pairs will be of two

Again, you can access the form here. Please remember to sign up if you intend to participate in team events!

Also, I have been asked countless times regarding team placements. For those unsure about who will be on your team, the following link will have them all in a spreadsheet. Contact these members, and coordinate your ideas. We’re all here for the same reasons, so don’t be afraid to send them an email!

Current Teams

If you aren’t on a team and have signed up for one, please email myself (A’lora) and Atyiru to get sorted! We managed to sort members as soon as we see them sign up, but mistakes happen. Once we’re notified, we can fix these as soon as possible.

Note for the Co-op Fiction and Run-On:

  • For the fiction, simply create a new thread under the Fiction category of the Discourse Forums and label it [Tides of Change] Team #, filling in your team number appropriately.

  • For the Run-On, create a new thread under the Run-On category of the Discourse Forums in the same fashion, labeling it [Tides of Change] Team #, filling in your team number appropriately.

  • You may put an optional team name after your team number if you wish.

  • The first/”intro” post to your thread should be used to list your team members and their dossier pins. You may also use this post to reference the competition prompt.

Once again, the Wiki Hub will be updated as the event progresses. Please have a look there, if you need more details for the event. Otherwise, the organizers are available to answer questions!

A shining beacon to the lost.

The most recent report from Solari outlined more of the fiction surrounding Seher - in fact, it is looking to be far more interesting than I imagined. I have seen amazing things come out of planning from both Solari and Mar Sûl. All of which will be revealed in due time.

Also, for those wanting something to do outside of the event, both Solari and Mar Sûl are looking for members to work on fleshing out their wiki articles. As with most projects, we will make sure that those helping out are rewarded for their efforts, so drop them a notice if you’re interested!

In peace, Vigilance.

Although things on the Hoth front have been quiet, Seraphol’s most recent report has the updated details of all of the going-ons in House Hoth. Even so, Seraphol and Revak both have solid ideas for Hoth’s fiction, continuing off of their last event, the Butcher of Kamuikiko.

Once again, we would like to thank Salbecca for his work as the Battle Team Leader of the Knights of Allusis. He’ll be sticking around in the meantime, while Tides of Change remains in the spotlight. Applications will open up after the event concludes, so keep tuned for more information!

This has been a wonderful month for Odan-Urr! Once again - I urge everyone to build of friendships outside of Clan Odan-Urr, and to talk with members of Arcona while the Feud lasts. This is a great time to do so, and a unique opportunity to establish character relations. As always, feel free to email me with questions!

(ಠ_ಠ) I'm watching you, Arcona spies.

Nice report!

Oh my God, Cable, to you ever blink? :P

Nice report, my friend!

Great image, A'lora!

Cable, keep being awesome!

10/10, would commission again. :P
