Welcome to my 21st career Proconsul Report. Time to re-focus on what drives us- having fun!
This one wrapped up nicely with our enemy Anzaithia the Nightsister Shaman captured, and her base subsequently invaded by our Nightsister contacts. I would not exactly call them allies, but we shared a mutual common enemy. In exchange for hooking them up with Verpine weapons and armor, as well as baradium they made sure we “left no trace” as they followed behind us and took over Anzaithia’s fortress. And in character, I had my first affair with the allied Nightsister leader, Cythrexia. Woo! I bet that was a really freaky scene. Even us synthetic humans need love too. Just don’t watch, it might burn your eyes.
Kaayn has joined us since my last report and he has gone gang-busters on the job. Malik and I are very happy to have him as Rollmaster. He has already assisted us immensely by guiding new members, administering the Master-Student program, and helping keep folks from going AWOL.
We are above the 40 member limit, and I expect it to be lifted according to the rules in 3 days. Always remember to sign in. If you leave the DB site as “stay signed in” on your ‘puter, just remember to sign out and in every now and then please. Thank you! We still have more work to do, but we are ever-growing in camaraderie.
Well… we could have done better here. Our overall participation level was better than during the Crusade, but still needs improvement. I have heard from several members that the events were difficult to get into or understand as new folks, and several more had RL issues. The Great Jedi War is coming in a few months. I cannot stress how important this event will be. Did you know in the last round of Fading Light we would have beaten HOU with 4 more members submitting and earned that VSD ship? There are so many reasons to participate in Vendettas and GJW’s. For one, even a simple submission earns your Clan points. Two, you get a Seal, from which you get Prestige and Credits for every event you submit to. Three- want to get promoted? Participation in a large event like this is a golden key towards getting that promotion you so desire.
Now that Nicht Ka and fading Light is over, we can again turn our attentions towards the last bit of cleaning up our System. If you have a look at the survey results, a few things are clear. It seems a majority of folks want to split between completion of taking Tarthos, and the Kwa temple. Raw Combat and “Other” were the top things people want to do in the story, with an even mix between the other options. We will strive to give you what you want!
To that end, Locke volunteered to help me design the event. Usually Summit members can’t play, as they would have an unfair advantage being involved with the design and all. So, Locke and I will not play so everyone else can, including the Summit. Look for events and updates soon as we brainstorm this thing and give you, the members, what you want to play with. Speaking of which, the top non-Summit Journeyman (or woman!) performer will become my Black Guard at the end of the event.
If you saw the Poll, you know we are in negotiations with HSP to do a cooperative event after the Great Jedi War is over. What both of us are striving for is to deliver an event that you, the members, have been polled about so as to see what you want to do and deliver it. Not a top-down thing, rather, a bottoms-up. (drinks beer) HSP has run their own poll and it’s looking like our interests may align nicely and enthusiasm on both sides is high. It will be nice to work cooperatively with another unit, instead of the usual “me first” attitude. What will happen here is that we will band together and support each other as comrades against a mutual enemy. This is, after all, a Brotherhood and we should be working together.
Man, have I been busy. Besides the FL events, we’re brainstorming with HSP. Round Three, the final round of the Orian Assembly is coming. The Lightsaber Combat Guide is under final editing- the group edits are done, and it remains for Muz himself to give it a go-over. I expect that and the Alchemy Guide to release around the holidays according to Muz. The Lightsaber Construction Guide won’t be far behind hopefully. That means there will be new Shadow academy courses too…. ah gawd, so much work. But hey, we do it so we can all have fun!

Looking forward to the joint event with HSP. It'll make the Brotherhood part of the Brotherhood seem more fitting :p

We're brainstorming with HSP right now Daedric. It has yet to be determined. We wanted to do a poll and see what the members want first.
