... into the future.

The dawn of the new year brings with it two competing instincts: to look backwards in review and to look forward with hope. In this report, we'll do both! Breaking down data from the last year, previewing the next major Plagueis event, and news from around the Brotherhood. Read on!

The Year That Was: 2022

2022 was a truly amazing year for Plagueis. We generally maintained our membership numbers, always hovering around the 30 member mark as we have for quite some time. Activity was on the upswing as well, which also resulted in our members being recommended for a truly staggering number of awards. Members of Plagueis earned the following over 2022:

5 Amethyst Kukris
3 Sapphire Blades
30 Merit awards

That activity not only resulted in a staggering haul of medals but an astonishing number of promotions as well. Plagueis saw the following in 2022 on the promotion front:

6 Equite Promotions
1 Elder Promotion
1 Knighthood

The latter two show how Plagueis continues to serve both ends of the membership spectrum, new members and seasoned veterans both. It is my hope, especially with the XP system on the horizon, that we see even better results in the coming year.

While the rewards earned by all of our members were amazing, the improvements in activity across the board were equally impressive. Most especially were the increase in competition entries during the biggest events of 2022: the Fifteenth Great Jedi War and Pro Bowl IV. In 2021, the Pro Bowl saw Plagueis produce 227 entries. We bettered that in 2022, increasing our entries by 14% to 259 competition entries. More than that, however, was the growth that we saw in the number of entries submitted by all of Plagueis during the last two Vendettas. In 2021, RoS: Escalation saw Plagueis generate 147 total entries. During 2022's Fifteenth Great Jedi War that number was increased by 33% to a total of 196 entries. That is probably the largest year over year increase in vendetta entries I've ever seen from Plagueis, so the members all have my grateful thanks for all of the effort that they've put in over the last year.

Plagueis Event: Ascending Confederacy

The first major event of the new year is currently scheduled to kick off on Monday, February 6th. Ascending Confederacy will be a story driven event that will focus on the fictional development of Clan Plagueis in a world where the slaves have been freed and the Clan must focus on other avenues to support and expand its power base. This event will be a multi week, multi competition event as we have run in the past with the members of the Clan competing against one another. Be on the lookout for further developments in the various Clan and House reports this month, as this event will offer some great opportunities for competition as well as new lore for the Ascendant Clan.

In Closing

Another year is in the can, and we have a brand new one stretching out in front of us. It is my hope that I can continue to serve the clan that Knighted me back in the mists of time and all the membership here in the year ahead.
