Introduction

Ascending Conspiracy in in the books, and the results along with the full event fiction can be found below. Apologies for the fiction all coming out at the end in one blast, but a lot of free time got eaten on my end the last few weeks due to being a bit short handed at work. But, we've got it all ready for a good read below! And now that Ascending Conspiracy is fully in the rear view, it's time to focus on our next round of Seasons!

Command Center - The Pinnacle
Aliso, Aliso System — Plagueis Territory
Day Sixteen - 43 ABY

TuQ'uan fired his pistol to kill the last of the Dread Guard troopers manning the command center near the apex of the Pinnacle, flanked by the soldiers of the Ascendant Legion.

"We've got it!" the soldier to his left exclaimed.

"Finally," TuQ'uan said. "Get more troopers up here, and the droids. We need to secure the systems in here."

"At once, sir!" the soldier with him answered, then cocked his head as communications came over his earpiece. "We have reports from the units above us, in the Dread Lord's chamber. They report… uh…"

"Spit it out, soldier!" TuQ'uan ordered.

"There's no one there, sir. The Dread Lord, she's... gone," the man reported. Whirling, TuQ'uan rushed to the control console in the center of the room. "Get these systems up and running, interface with our comms!"

The troopers with him began to move bodies of slain Dread Guards off the consoles they had used for cover, tying the room's systems into their command and control signals from the Legion HQ. TuQ'uan's eyes darted from one display to another as the systems came online, looking for information.

"Sir, there's a report of a firefight at the Pinnacle Spaceport."

"Get me a visual, put it on the screen," TuQ'uan ordered.

The display lit up to show a camera view of the spaceport approach, with black armored Dread Guard seen to fight their way through the spaceport gates towards a trio of waiting landing craft. At the center of the formation was a black clad figure with a cape, a violet lightsaber blade held in her hand.

"She's escaping," one of the soldiers hissed, slamming his hand into the console before him.

TuQ'uan had no answer for him as he watched Selika make her way to the ramp of one of the ships, her Dread Guard fighting a delaying action behind her as Legion soldiers attempted to stop her. It was obvious that the black armored Guard were not planning to leave with her, fighting to the last to ensure their commander made good her escape. As the ship lifted off and blasted into space, TuQ'uan turned toward the soldier now manning the space tracking station.

"Get me their trajectory," TuQ'uan commanded. "I want to know what hyperspace course she's taking."

"It doesn't look like she's making for a hyperspace lane," the soldier answered. "Let me calculate… Sir, it looks like she's headed for the Ascendancy!"

"What?" TuQ'uan exclaimed.

"They're docking now," the soldier reported. "It looks like we're getting a signal from the Dread Lord."

"Put it through here," TuQ'uan ordered.

The soldier nodded, working the controls to send the signal to the main display. In an instant, the Dread Lord's form coalesced in holographic form, standing before TuQ'uan, still clad in her armor.

"Congratulations on your victory, TuQ'uan," the Dread Lord said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Either you're a part of this conspiracy or a fool. No matter which, you've broken Clan Plagueis and left her weak before her enemies."

"Enemies that you have conjured from nothing!" TuQ'uan spat back at her. "The only threat to Clan Plagueis is from you."

"So you say," the Dread Lord replied with disdain. "Your lack of vision is nothing short of a disappointment. You have won this battle, Wrath. But the true victory remains to be claimed." Selika nodded, and her form vanished as the channel closed.

"The Ascendancy has jumped away," the soldier reported. "Destination unknown."

Ascending Conspiracy Results

Our event is now in the books, and we saw some great entries and participation across the board. We maintain our tradition of more than half of the Clan showing out for these Ascending competitions, with this year's number being 53%. As for the plot pledges, we saw a fairly easy division throughout the Clan, but at the end of the day one of the sides had to win. As you can see above, the TuQ'uan supporters came out ahead, to the tune of 57 pledged entries for our hat wearing PCON and 52 pledged entries for the Dread Lord. What does this mean moving forward? Well, you all will just have to keep your eyes open for further plot updates that build upon the results of the Ascending Conspiracy plot.

But, let's look at what everyone has been waiting for in the form of the overall results for the event:

competition

With a total of 561 points, House Ventress has pulled out the victory while flipping the script from last year's Ascending Conflict. Both Houses put out some great entries with good efforts, and don't let the point spread fool you. If one of our active participants had swapped from one house to the other, the finish would have been of the neck-and-neck, photo finish variety. That just goes to show how important that every member's contributions really are, as for participants the houses were one off of dead even.

competition

This year on the individual performance front we saw Furios and Nora return to their places atop the leaderboard in first and second respectively, while Alaris moved up a slot into a podium position with a third place finish. Everyone in the top ten put out a great effort, so I'm glad to be able to call out all of them!

In Closing

Another year, another House Fued is in the books. Once again the membership of the Clan really stepped up and did some excellent work throughout the feud, be it some great entries or our staff stepping up and coordinating activity for folks to get their participation in. The members of Clan Plagueis still amaze me all these many years later, so let's make sure to keep it going as we finish out quarter two of 2025 strong!
