Greetings fellow Dakhani! A quick news post to reflect the current changes within the House summit! Read on!
New Rollmaster
Bentre Stahoes has been selected as our new Rollmaster! Whilst it is great to see members continueing to rise within CNS, it’s with a slight sadness to see this talented individual leaving HSD for the greater good of the Clan. He has performed admirably throughout the last nine months and has hopefully not missed out on how much I appreciated his hard work during his entire tenure as my Aedile. Good luck Bentre and may you rise to the roll of rolling Rollmaster… or something like! Thank you for your dedication to House Shar Dakhan!
New Aedile
With Bentre leaving this means the Aedile spot was vacant and I’d need to search for a new one. This is never an easy choice to make as there are many talented individuals in the Clan. However after deliberation and thoughts from the Upper Summit members, we have all agreed unanimously to fill the vacant spot.
Effective immediately, Aul Celsus will step up from BTL of Devil’s Shroud and assume the mantle of Aedile of Shar Dakhan.
The past months since he has entered our Clan’s leadership have proven he is capable of handling difficult situations, providing enjoyable content and tackling projects head on and delivering them well within a deadline. Due to his openness and natural friendly attitude with other members plus a good working relationship with him within the House, I feel more than confident that Aul will make a great Aedile in the coming months as he acclimatizes to his new role.

BTL Applications
House Shar Dakhan is opening applications to lead the most excellent Devil's Shroud Battle Team. The team is active and we have the friendliest Clan in the DJB, so if you have a desire to help build up the team and work with the best Summit in the DJB we look forward to your application!
Just a reminder we have a few requirements and expectations of our potential Battle Team Leaders. Requirements are as follows:
* Less than 24 hour email turnaround time.
* A true desire to build the Battle Team and foster growth amongst its members.
* A willingness to work closely with your House Summit.
* Rank JM3 or above.
Additionally desired qualifications (not all absolutely required but they help):
- Telegram access. You will love our main chat group, I guarantee it!
- Basic knowledge with most or all DJB activity systems (SA, ACC, Gaming, etc.)
- Give us a brief game plan on how you will help build the Battle Team.
There are current ongoing projects on expanding the wiki page of DS history, we are specifically looking for someone who will take this project head on and make it a top priority to complete.
There is also a current Run-On for the team taking place to help expand their history some more. So besides this, what do you have in mind to help keep Devil's Shroud active and kicking butt?
- Moderate personal activity - we all have personal lives and summer is busy. We are not asking the moon but we want leaders who are not afraid to rub shoulders with their members.
What we mean by this is that we want you to lead by example. Doing comps, encouraging your team to do comps or come up with frequent competitions for your team for example. You don't have to place in them (although that would make us happy), but showing some effort that you are an example for your team will go a long way towards encouraging new and older members within the team.
The traditional "requirements" aside we are simply looking for someone who wants to see the unit grow and expand. We want to see the members and our potential BTL flourish together. BTL in our House is not about sitting pretty in a position for the sake of a position. We believe that the unit can continually grow and we hope that our applicants want the same. Devil's Shroud is an active team that places regularly in House and Clan events.
For example, in our last Clan wide event we had 4 of the top 10 spots coming from Devil's Shroud alone, with a total of 6 members from DS participating. Being the BTL for Devil's Shroud is the place to be if you want to prove yourself as a leader, and excel in kicking butt.

Aedile Report
Expect an Aedile report from Aul to announce the next BTL and summarize your wonderful activity sometime next week after the BTL has been chosen!

Sadly I don't know enough about the gaming types to be comfortable as BTL.

Hi Firith! Whilst it is something that would help your application, it is by no means required to have this knowledge. If you excel in other areas the Summit can help you up to speed in the other areas you feel less confident in. We are here to help and teach members if they are open to it.
If that is your only concern I would not let it hold you back from applying anyways. By applying, you show interest in positions and put yourself on the radar for future positions should you not be chosen for this specific role. It's always a good idea to apply, even if you feel that you may be underqualified (in your own opinion). You can also gain some valuable experience for writing applications within the DJB that may help you in future applications as well!
To everyone else, please feel free to apply and do not be afraid to give it a try! BTL is the best spot to learn the ropes of beginner leadership in the DJB and our Summit is more than capable of helping you reach your true potential if you are willing to work for it!
