Scholae Palatinae Consul Report #7

Consul Report

Scholae Palatinae! August is coming to a close, and with it, a massive amount of changes on the site! What does this mean for you guys? New goodies to play with, new directions for characters, and a lot of lovely eye candy coming at you in this month’s Consul Report!

Intel: Brotherhood Wide - Plastic Surgery

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you are aware that the DJB site has recieved a face lift. Much thanks to our Herald Vyr, and to James for the quick and wonderful transition to the new site.

For those of you not digging the Red Fury of the Sith on the site, it is possible to change the site to one of the other four colors, in addition to reverting to the old site images and the “Oberstified” black and white version. You can make this change by going to your administrative menu > Edit Dossier > Layout Preference.

Grand total we have 5 variants of the new splash to go along the coming path changes. Sith is Red, Jedi is Green, Loyalist is Blue, Mercenary is Orange, and Gray is fuschia Gray.

Intel: Brotherhood Wide - Two Roads Diverge...

I’m sorry, I really had no choice but there for the subject header. In one of the biggest changes to the site since the addition of our Jedi friends in Odan-Urr, we now host home to the path of the gray ones. This is one step closer to the eventual addition of the “mundane” (or as I like to call them muggle) orders for characters. At this point in time, you only have access to Sith/Dark/Grey/Jedi but soon! you will find the Mercenary and Loyalist options available.

Mav’s DGM Report features, once again the sparknotes guide to the Dark/Gray/Light Paths, along with the currently approved path selections for each clan. As I mentioned in my last report, we have applied (successfully) for a Dark/Dark/Gray alignment, keeping us overall a “Dark” path clan. Given the vast amount of individuals who feel they play gray characters, there is a good chance we will be reviewing this in the near future.

So I can play a Gray Jedi? Yes! Yes you can! In fact we’ve already seen Dante and Dek make the move to Gray Jedi since its addition to the site. You can request a change by going to your administration menu > Request Path Change. The addition of the Gray Jedi, and the coming Merc/Loyalist options, also involve the addition of new rank names, and some revisions to the current ones we’ve used. This Grand Master Report features a handy colorful chart of what these new ranks will be, and what changed within the current structure.

There is a very important change that affects everyone regardless of if you wish to change your path/spec options. The traditional order system is official kill. Thats right, everyone who was an Obelisk/Krath, is now listed as a Sith. Sith EQ rank names, and progression is what everyone was moved to by default. That said, Dark Jedi are still a thing! They, and Grey Jedi, can share rank names, and are for those of you who cling to the dark side, but not necessarily to the ways of the Sith. You can request a Traditions change to reflect the Krath/Obelisk heritage if it is very important to you.

Obviously there are going to be even more changes coming at us, and Mav has broken down the timeline for the continued implementation of these changes in his report. Obviously the timeline is tentative, but you can expect more awesome updates as we progress further into the Fall.

Intel: Brotherhood Wide - The ACC, Character Sheets, and You

These lovely new path options also come along side the “2.0” Character Sheet update. This update include even more species, along with the now enforced grandfathered species rule (meaning if you REALLY wanted to rock a Neti, tough). Everyone who had a CS needs to go through the process of resubmitting one for it to be valid. For some of you this will be as simple as just going through all the sections and making sure nothing is broken (and check out some of those new feats while you are at it), for others, it will require a bit more work.

If you haven’t already done a CS, I urge you to get one done! They are incredibly useful for things even beyond competing in the ACC (which is a blast and you should do).

To help with the CS creation, a handy tool lovingly called C-Dawg has been created and added to the site to help you read and learn more about the various CS workings.

This leads me to the second part of the ACC happenings. Rivalries has opened. Sign up, fight matches against anyone else in the club. Here you will avoid killing your opponent, but beat them into submission, establish your dominance, and establish a true rivalry! I know a bunch of you have already started some matches, and I hope the rest of you check it out! It is going to be a lot of fun!

Intel: Brotherhood Wide - HEADING FIST-O-MATIC

This month saw the deployment of the new gaming bot on IRC. In an effort to help make it both easier to set up matches, and to avoid match dodging, this new bot has a host of functions that can be used for your gaming needs. Val has a full breakdown of the bot, along with instructions for use in his report so if you are a gamer, please go check it out.

Intel: The Imperial News Net - This Recruitment Brings all the Boys to the Yard

Have you check out our clan roster page recently? If not click that and look right now. Like right now. I can wait.

You look? Good.

Holy crap! Between trying to find former members and Cruise’s incredible recruitment drive on Star Conflict we now are sitting pretty at 70, yes seventy, members! My inbox has been blowing up with the activity going on!

So to those of you who have joined the proud ranks of CSP, both new and old, I welcome you! There is a tremendous energy in the clan, and I very much hope we make this a super amazing experience for each and everyone of you.

Now I’m going to promote Telegram again, just because it is super awesome. It has a mobile version, desktop clients, and even an in browser version! There has been more activity in the clan’s chat group in the last few hours then last weeks on IRC (that said, come join us on IRC too! Even if Mav did mostly kill it all). The roster page I had you all look at? If you are logged into the site, and a member of CSP you will see Telegram Group Invite Link! Sign up for telegram and click it! Or message me @xenmordin and I can help you get added to it. There is also a very busy (mainly with food pictures) DJB wide group, along with several gaming specific groups.

It is a great way to get more connected to the clan, and the rest of the club!

Intel: The Imperial News Net - Children No More

Obviously one of the biggest driving forces for us as a clan the last few years has been taking steps to fully solidify our status as followers of Palpatine, and the Galactic Empire. This month we have made yet another change to our lore to fit this purpose. Several weeks ago, Elincia, Dek Rott, and myself began a new wave of assessment on our clan’s lore.

Dek, being awesome, pointed out that the Clan Title, Children of Palpatine, is a bit on the weaker side of things. Plus it is easy for the uninformed to make the jump that all of us with this Title, are literally Palpatine’s children, which is very much not the line of thinking we want. As a solution to this, Dek suggested the Title be rebranded as Legacy of Palpatine. With a stamp of approval from Don Palpatine, Sarin, and Aabs, this change has now gone into effect. Legacy of Palpatine should now be reflected on all Clan Title holders dossiers, and the corresponding wikipage has been uploaded. Palpatine itself will remain the name clan title holders can add to their own.

Intel: The Imperial News Net - The Antei Contract Bureau

Wally, in addition to his busy life as Combat Master, has also opened up the long worked on Antei Contract Bureau to club wide usage, along with representatives from the clans aiding in the process. At this time, Calindra is helping with it, and has supplied some info for it so that I can advertise it here.

Imperial Scholae Intelligence Assignment Dockets

As you all well know, Scholae Palatinae doesn’t shy away from waging war on its enemies, but there is a lot more going on behind the scenes that needs to be done to extend our influence to the furthest reaches of the galaxy. For this reason, ISI has been working closely with the Anteian Contract Bureau to further Scholae’s influence.

Here are some contracts that are available at a first come first served basis:

1) A-Class Contract – Recon Mission: Yavin IV Biohazard

Following the Zephyr Incident, Imperial Scholae Intelligence has received confirmation of a biological threat. You are requested to investigate and report back on any intelligence or leads you might find.

2) B-Class Contract – Recruitment Mission: Celen Negotiations

The world of Celen is in negotiations with the Empire in order to reintegrate under Imperial rule. However, one of the Celen delegates is suspected of being a Republic sympathizer who will try to make the negotiation proceedings fail. You will ensure the sympathizer’s cooperation (prefered) or discreetly eliminate them in order to ensure negotiations come to a favourable outcome.

3) A-Class Contract – Security Mission: Cloud City

You would be part of the security detail for one of our agents who is attempting to win the main prize in order to fund our activities.

Those wishing to show their mettle for one of the above noted contracts should contact Dark Jedi Knight, Calindra Hejaran and express their interest. More details about the mission will be given to you if you are chosen. Just make sure your information dossier (Character Sheet) is up to date and valid before volunteering for these missions.

You can also contact the Anteian Contract Bureau (ACB) to arrange other jobs. Feel free to contact them directly with the Contract Request Form and specifying what sort of contract would suit you best. NOTE: Cooperative missions are also available, should you wish to team up with someone.

For more information on the ACB and on the different contract classes and the types of missions that are available, please click here. There are also briefs on previous and current missions for you to look at.

Intel: The Imperial News Net - Papers for Them Walls

There has been a fair amount of graphical work going on. Inspired by this trend, and a comment from Sparky on Telegram, I have created a few simple clan wallpapers for those of you interested. Stolen Utilizing NASA’s super awesome colorized photo of the Orion Nebula, the largest copy of the clan logo I know of, and the Cocytus System planet images I whipped up a set of two different wallpapers in some various sizes, along side a few different mobile sizes. Why? Because I can. If you want to be super nerdy and none of the resolutions below work for you, let me know, I’ll get something thrown together for you.
