Consul of Clan Taldryan Report 1: New Beginings!

Hello Taldryan,

As you may, or may not, have heard, I am stepping in for Howie as your new Consul. Ever since I joined the DJB, being a member of Clan Taldryan has been my favorite part of my experience. The family dynamic I’ve felt has made my sticking around here easy, and I have been honored to hold the positions of Aedile, Quaestor, and now Consul! I am extremely grateful to Grand Master Pravus, Deputy Grand Master Mav, and Howie for choosing me to step in at this time, and I promise to do everything in my power to see us thrive moving forward.

Now, granted, I am newer to this club than many of you, I hope you will all work with me to make Clan Taldryan a success. I have some big plans, and changes that I feel need to be made to make us strong. As a Clan, we need to grow and move forward with the Brotherhood as it evolves. We cannot hold so tightly to the old ways that we fall apart from the rest of the DJB. I hope that my time as Consul proves to be fruitful in my endeavors to make Taldryan the great force it could be.

The first item of business I have is that I am opening up applications for the positions of Proconsul Rollmaster and Quaestor of House DInaari. I will accept applications from all members of the DJB, not just from Taldryan. I encourage anyone who feels that they would like to work with me in forging a new Taldryan to apply. Here’s what I’m looking for:

• Someone who can work well with any member of the DJB, and put any personal issues aside for the betterment of our Clan, and the Brotherhood as a whole.
• Someone who has ideas for things they’d like to see happen in the future of Taldryan, as well as can help me with the ideas I already have planned.
• Someone who has a strong presence on Telegram, and a decent email response time.
• I will be working with Mav, Pravus, and possibly other leaders in making my decision, so don’t write this specifically for me.
• I want to know what skills or strengths you could bring to my summit, as I need people who can excel where I may not be as strong.
• There are no minimum rank requirements, but I will take experience of each applicant into account.
• Proconsul is a position that works with the Dark Council, so I need to see that you are ready to handle that kind of responsibility.
• Be prepared for follow up questions to be asked.

TIPS

• Show me that you have put some effort into this application. I need a person I can depend on to do their job to the best of their ability. This is basically an audition.
• I want to see honesty and professionalism. I do not want members of this Summit to act in ways that would negatively affect this Clan.
• Take your time, and put up your best effort.
• Show me that you have plans and ideas. Even if they would not be the easiest to enact, or if it is decided not to go with that idea, the fact that you came up with one speaks volumes to me.
• Don’t be afraid to apply if you’re not from Taldryan. I actually want a non Tal member on my Summit. I would love to have an outside opinion on Tal to help me grow this Clan.

Applications will be due to me at [Log in to view e-mail addresses] no later than October 20th, but I reserve the right to appoint the positions before that date if I get an applicant that myself, and the rest of those helping me, feel is right for the job.

Clan News:

Before they left, Zoron and Howie had been working on an Event that would follow Pravus’s “Treason” Fiction Update. I will be picking up the reigns on this along with my current Summit members, and we will get this event started this month. If you haven’t read this, do it!

Brotherhood News:

It has been a busy month for the Brotherhood. We have a slew of members moving on up in the world and taking new positions!

• Evant Taelyan has taken the position as the DJB’s first ever Regeant, and his work on possessions has been invaluable. Wish him luck with this large responsibility.
• Wally has stepped away from his post as Combat Master, and is now our new Voice!
• With A’lora Kituri stepping down and taking the spot as Praetor to the Voice, Turel Sorenn is the new Consul of Clan Odan-Urr
• Atra Ventus is now the new Combat Master
• And finally, Dracaryis Sunstrider di Plagia is the new Fist!
