GJW XI Results: Taldryan Comes Second

So, the Great Jedi War has finished.. and Taldryan has come in second. I'd like to congratulate Arcona for their victory. We fought hard, and we had some pretty good successes, but in the end, we came up wanting. Every time one of these events comes up, I always try to find some awesome way to end it off. I would like to find a way to appropriately thank all of you for your hard work. But I'm not that great of a wordsmith. So what I will do is leave you with the words from the HBO Series Band of Brothers, which is everything I always want to say to you guy.

When I look at where were are today in comparison to where Taldryan was when I came back to the DB... I have nothing but pride. I came back at a time when we were completely rudderless, we had no drive, no direction, no pride left. I look at us today, and I see Taldryan once again as it should be: proud, strong, and active.

But we don't get better by sitting back on past successes. We have to always be seeking to improve ourselves, lest we fall back into the sloth of the past. We've come a long way, but we can always get better. The Summit has already begun working on new plans to help Taldryan continue to grow together as a group. We'll have more updates on this in the coming weeks.

Now, something that is a bit harder for me to write is the goodbye. In case you hadn't read it, the most recent fiction had a surprising death scene in it. Tarax Eosphorous Taldrya Kor got his ass handed to him, and he died. He might have also set off a mini-apocalypse in the process too, which for any of those who know the man... is kinda fitting. What people may not realize though, is that this isn't like a lot of those other "kill off my character, I'm starting over" fictional deaths.

Yesterday Tarax transferred into the rogues. He killed his character because Tarax has decided that he wants to spend more of his free time lifting weights at the gym, and realizing his true final form. What this means is... we're not going to be seeing a lot of Tarax anymore, and his loss is one that I personally feel deeply.

Tarax, you'll be missed.

Good evening journeymen! The Great Jedi War results are out - and we did pretty damn well! Now, like it or not (totally like it) we can get back to the regularly scheduled time in the Brotherhood! This means regular competitions, and all of you delightful young members working towards Dark Jedi Knight!

I’d also like to welcome Seyda Norith to Taldryan! She was recruited by young Bobecc – and she’s already been doing a hell of a job, and was promoted up to Protector as of yesterday! When you get a chance, please say hello to her on IRC!

Finally, I’d also like to thank you all again for your Great Jedi War work! Without every single one of your contributions, we would not have gotten where we are. Great work!
