Greetings. I have great news today: Fading Light is over! We had some decent participation numbers, as illustrated by Yacks' clan-wide email a few days ago. Now it's a matter of waiting until everything is graded and marked to see how we did. Thanks to everyone who came out and put in the effort and time.

Announcements

A couple things recently. To summarize:

• We have a new member! Welcome Tuantrinh12 to the fold and give them a hand!
• There's a new mobile Star Wars game with a new competition by the Fist office. I've been playing it on my iPhone 4S and it barely handles the game. Any other apps in the background will make it lag. It does sound like it has persistency between devices though if you log in using your Facebook account. Haven't tested that for sure yet, but will once I have an iPad to try it on.
• Mav got promoted or something. I'm honestly not sure from reading the GM's Report. Hopefully someone can clarify that for me.
• SWTOR has a major expansion coming out soon. The pre-order early access option has expired, but there's still bonuses that are valid until December 1. Check out Valhavoc's detailed post to learn more.
• Star Wars: Tarkin got released. This is one of the new cannon novels. Halc links to an exerpt here.
• Pravus posted a new report. He addresses the end of Fading Light, gaming activity in the DJB as a whole, as well as a Halloween Costume competition. He broke the system, so if you (or family) dressed up in Star Wars themed costumes, email him with the photos for entry.
• Finally, Yacks posted his mission statement about his new position as Recruitment Tribune. It looks solid and should help bring us new bodies with his experience and expertise there.

I missed that this was my week for a report, so I forgot to create my Sporcle Comp in time for approvals. I'll make it for next week and run it an extra week to make up for you all.

Final Word

Like I led off with, Fading Light is over. There will be a Great Jedi War in the new year (if I recall the GM/DGM reports correctly), but for now, we have business as usual. Do some comps, write some stories, play some games, laugh and enjoy yourselves. Great work by everyone who participated in Fading Light!
