Admin Notes

Hello all! Only a little here for admin notes outside of the most current leaderboard for this month for the Glory of Galeres award and a (very) small fiction.

Fiction I will be writing out each part throughout the next month. I have a small but initial part of the overall fiction to wet the appetite.

Jael did not expect to return to Eldar with much progress on the future city plans for Ekkar to be completed after all most of the required equipment would not be here until a week or two at the very least. He had some forethought to have some resources sent prior to his group and house leaving for the planet which makeshift homes, command center, and mess hall were visible as the house ships slowed for a landing.

“You guys ready?” The Quaestor asked his companions while he walked back from the window towards his desk and picked up his datapad in his hands. A voice spoke up over his communicator in his ear.

Sir. The Keadeans and the Sardinians arrived with their ambassadors as requested. Forewarning. The Keadean ambassador is not thrilled to be near the Sardinian and is pretty furious.

Jael gritted his teeth with a flexion of his neck. “Noted. Keep them separated for now.” He turned to Toranaga and sighed just as he spoke. “Looks like y’ur going to needa calm Lashili.”

The Keadean’s brow furrowed in disapproval as much as it would allow him to display the displeasure of this already uncomfortable situation. Toranaga had learned to accept and deal with the Sardinians on his ship, but this was months of being forced into learning how to cope.

“This is why I said we should have returned to our palace.”

Jael just stared intently at Toranaga and began to walk out of the room with his equipment just as the ship indicated a successful landing. “Let's get the rest and head outside.”
