Introduction - Hoth v Shan: Battle Formations - Solyiat is under siege!

As you are already aware the New Hoth v Shan Event is underway and will run until the end of the month. This event is broken into 2 weeks with 3 comps each and a cluster race and a graphics comp running for the full 2 weeks. We hope you have some fun with the comps and remember even the COU members not in a House can play and earned points for the Clan as a unit.

With a strategic space station in the balance I hope to see us win but more importantly I hope to see Hoth continue to step up to any challenge we may face! So before I go on with my report I’d like to thank the Shan Summit Mako and Arch for joining forces with Arcia and I in making this event happen. Also good luck to House Shan as well because you will need it. One final thank you goes to our QUA Arcia for creating the graphics we are using for the event.

Col Arcia even was awarded the very first Cluster of Graphite ever in the DJB! Nice work!

Just to repeat from last month - we created a dedicated House Hoth Telegram Channel in which all members of the house can mingle, interact and plan to win the event with both Arcia and myself. STILL NEEDED - If you are good at wiki pages, graphics (i.e. map design, locations, people), or just wanting to write a backstory for a person or place on our world please email Arcia and I with you idea and/or your skill set and we can give you all the information we can to help you finish your task.

Something NEW any member that writes and posts a personal fiction or run-on that you have posted on the DJB Discourse. Then if you would like it featured in my report please email me the link and details of the story before the 10th of the month. I would love to highlight any and all fictions you write. ALSO remember the Clan Wide Free fiction comp (see comp section) if you write a personal fiction make sure you submit it there for a potential Crescent and CI’s.

Arch's Special Corner

Attention ~filthy Hothans~ beloved colleagues: this means war! Both House Summits are thrilled to bring you this event, and I hope to see a boatload of submissions from both Hoth and Shan, as well as Zirael and our Clan leadership. This is a big opportunity for everyone to take home some Clusters and Crescents, maybe a merit award for your hard work, and bragging rights for yourselves and your House.

House Hoth has been a formidable competitor over the last few months, both in the Feud and the recent Clan event. The Knights of Allusis are, I have to admit, something of a legend in these parts after their great deeds under a series of very distinguished Knight Commanders. However, that was when Satele Shan had your backs. That was when Arcia and Ed, powerhouses that they are, were free to compete. But how will you do now that your closest allies are your newest enemies? Mommy and daddy can't save you now.

Bring it, Hothans. Make us all proud.

• Jo Mizu asked: When are you going to have your hair cut, and shave your beard?

Well I don't really have a beard I do shave it just depends if I have time or not so at worst I'd have a five o'clock shadow from time to time. As for my hair i haven't decided yet but maybe after we get settled in our new base.

• Mako Henymory asked: If IC Edgar where to get into an impossible to win situation how likely is it that he would snap under the pressure and if so what level of nope would it require for him to get there?

Theoretically yes, Edgar could snap and be consumed by the deepest darkest hate and vengeance known to man. Edgar allows all emotions and draws strength from the emotion of the moment but has the self control not to “snap” into the extreme. The level of nope involved for that type of snap to occur would have to be the death and destruction of everything he loved and cared for. Then and only then he will have nothing left to lose and nothing to live for.

• Leixonus “asks”: Join the dark side.

Not really a question but the question of could Edgar go full Dark Side then I could say the possibility is there but just as much so as him going full light side as well. My version of Grey hates the cultist aspects of both sides so for him to fully join one side or the other is remote.

Now if you meant join a DS Clan shakes the magic 8 Ball - “ask again later”.

For the winning side sure I’ll buy drinks have access to Arcia’s expense account.

Here is a commision that Mihoshi Yukiko Keibatsu aka Mana (before he left COU) had done of his then COU character Mana and Edgar. It looks awesome and I love the new take on Edgar.

OK we come to the end of yet another Aedile report with me still proud to be your Aedile and even more proud to see the House members reaching out and sending in ideas for comps, wiki building and requesting projects.
