Hello everyone and welcome to the April Edition of the Hoth Quaestor Report! I’ll admit exams caught me off guard. Our event has closed and some things are still getting finalized but I promise that will all be done soon. Thank you to those who participated.
With that out of the way, let’s get into the report!
It has been absolutely amazing to work alongside you all as a Battle Team Leader these past months, and I have learned so much from everyone. I feel honored to be able to continue on in House Hoth, to serve as your Aedile.
As Aedile, I’ll be helping out Tisto with running House activities, and I’ll also be sure to keep bringing you all some fun competitions, starting with the Kaal City series.
In the Kaal City series, there will be some more casual competitions, and the chance for you to help play a direct role in adding some more personality to Kaal City to expand upon it, and to really make it your own. I look forward to getting to know everyone’s characters more, and seeing all of your amazing work!
-Syrena Valkar
A group of members from the Ale and Apathy faction and the Shipwrights Union stand before a newly refurbished building, as workers haul in large tables for the soon to be cantina known as The Last Kaal. A female Zeltron with long pale pink hair wearing silk business robes approaches the group, a small protocol droid following behind her.
“Why hello there, I’m Syrena Valkar, newly appointed Aedile to Governor Tisto,” She began to introduce herself, extending silver-plated business cards out to them. “I saw you put in a request to House Hoth regarding The Last Kaal. What appears to be the problem?”
“Well… We’ve never opened a cantina before, could use some help on the business side of things…” A large Cragmoloid known as Draal Truskull begins. “We’re lookin’ for some bartenders to hire, a guard, and a cook for this fine establishment… And, we could use some suggestions for the menu.”
Just then, a silver-haired Sephi woman appeared on the site with a group of several other members representing the Crown Guardians. “Excuse me!” The woman known as Caren Nestros suddenly snapped. “But I do believe operations on this filthy cantina of yours was supposed to stop a week ago, as per the guidelines of our petition. We don’t need a cantina to ruin the neighborhood.”
“What neighborhood? You don’t even live here, Caren! The Last Kaal is going to be for the hard-workin’ folks here, not for you Crown Guardian snobs,” Draal Truskull yelled back at the Sephi, rolling up his sleeves.
“Easy now,” Syrena began to caution, stepping between the two. “I see why you felt the need to call for House Hoth’s assistance. Caren, please give us some time. I do hope that we can come to some sort of agreement.”
As the Crown Guardians departed, Syrena gazed over at Draal, speaking quietly to him. “House Hoth knows how hard you’ve worked on building The Last Kaal, and we shall help you with your operation to the best of our abilities
For further competitions or if you’re reading this a few days after I posted my report, check here for a list of competitions. There will always be end dates attached to each competition for your ease of decision making on which competitions you would like to sign up for. All Competitions End At 1759/5:59pm CST.
So, with another month of the Lord Protector coming to pass I have to hand it to several of our House members for their hard work. If anyone would like to see what the final scores were across the board, the points are calculated here! We have changed things slightly to no longer count participation in previous rounds towards the monthly participation.
Congratulations to Turel for his third consecutive first place in the event, with Edgar trailing right behind him and Jael bringing in a respectable third place.
Overall, it was quite the month. While activity was around what was expected for this time of year, we had some absolutely knockout performances from many of Hoth’s members. Thank you all for your work!
