Introduction
Greetings Taldryan! First, I want to apologize to all of you for neglecting my reporting duties since coming onboard as Proconsul. Not that it excuses my inactivity but I hope is that this report has content which you find interesting and engaging. Some segments I am bringing back are the member spotlights and 10+1 questions along with the new segments Random Fact Wrap Up alongside the standard Clan and club level news.
Clan News
Events are effectively on hold until the Great Jedi War, but we are already planning to kick off an entire series dedicated to the rebuilding of the Caelus System following the defeat of Drayen Ky’Lian and his Sith spirit fueled coup attempt. Many on Caelus recognize Taldryan’s contribution in putting an end to the violence caused by Drayen’s reign of terror but there are some who are using the opportunity of forming a new government to push their own agendas. Will the system’s new government devolve into the chaos and corruption that plagued the end of the Galactic Republic? Will it take the form of the tyranny and violence which defines the First Order? Only the members of Clan Taldryan have to power to corral the more dangerous factions and prop up the more favorable ones. But the bigger question is, do the members of Clan Taldryan agree on which factions fall into each category?
Morax Darkblade as been appointed to the Quaestorship of House Ektrosis. I am very excited to see what Darkblade has planned and if his first Quaestor Report is any indication, he will have an event ready to rock shortly after the war is over.
Additionally, Cymbre Kall has signed on to fill the Aedile spot in Ektrosis left open by Darkblade’s ascension to Quaestor. Welcome Cymbre!
We also recently welcomed Kalon Tsucyra Entar to the Clan! As another member with a lot of experience, I look forward to getting to know Kalon. Also, he may have the best warbanner in the entirety of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood!
Lastly, Alaris Jinn has made an exit from Clan Taldryan but for the best of reasons (see below).
DB News
There has been a ton of movement on the Dark Council. Our own Alaris Jinn has been made the new Fist of the Brotherhood! Alaris fills the position left vacant by the Kalan Amak formerly known as Dracaryis, who himself has been appointed Praetor the Grand Master. More information can be found in Mav’s report here. Alaris has also published his first report which is a good outline of what the office will look like in his tenure.
Not content to fill one Dark Councilor spot, Mav also announced in early June that Atra Ventus will be filling the Regent opening made vacant by Evant Taelyan’s move into the Deputy Grand Master Role. More info to be found in another of Mav’s reports here.

Member Spotlights

DJB Debates - First place entry by Warlord Andrelious J. Mimosa-Inahj
I was impressed by the originality of Andrel’s position. Not that I was shocked that he took a pro-Imperial stance but that he was able to present unique arguments to support that stance within the maximum word cap.
Character Limerick - Second place entry by Battlemaster Kookimarissia Mimosa-Inahj
How can you not chuckle at this limerick? As someone that is highly food motivated myself, I immediately pictured Kooki ripping Andrelious’ arms clean out of his socket after forgetting to bring home her favorite meal after she finished a tough mission full of muder and mayhem.

Taldryan’s 10+1 Questions
This month brings the return of the member interview segment. Our featured member is new to Taldryan but has been a wonderful addition thus far. Morax Darkblad came on board at the end of December as Aedile of Ektrosis and then Quaestor on June 13th. I felt he would be a great person to interview for the first 10+1 questions segment of my Proconsulship.
Q1: How did you originally discover the Dark Jedi Brotherhood and why did you decide to join?
I was doing an internship in Italy for a tour operator. It was a small company and since I didn't know enough Italian and they didn't really have international contacts, I spent most of my days behind a PC surfing the web and learning "valuable" trade skills. I stumbled upon the DJB website and instantly took to it. The SA courses kept me busy and not bored, which eventually propelled me up the ranks and promotions. I ended up joining because I also tried out Star Wars Combine but I couldn't grasp the system and that's what led me to invest in the DJB instead.
Q2: What is the OOC story behind your character’s name?
That goes wayyy back like 15 years ago. I just got into the xbox Live stuff and when I made a profile I had to think of a name. Darkblade struck me as cool, original and awesome. I use it as my gamertag for a lot of games and it's just stuck around. Sadly it's nothing more than a pubescent teen choice with no real backstory. I like it though, to this day still. I've tried other names and it just never really connects with me. Thus, Darkblade will always be mine haha. Morax was just a random decision to add a while back since I got a lot of flack from my DJB friends cough Kalon cough. Pinkblade, Lightblade etc. Well, who's laughing now.... ha.. haha... ha... cries in a corner
Q3: Give us a one or two paragraph “elevator speech” on who your character is and what their motivations are.
Darkblade is motivated by pure selfish reasons about 99% of the time. Information is power, something Darkblade realizes all too well. Using this intel for his personal gain is how he climbs the ranks. Choosing when to divulge information crucial to other parties or withholding it is the game he plays. The only thing he cares about more are his Apprentices. They are his legacy and thus he will go to extreme lengths to ensure their survival. They are also useful tools to install in places of power, to ensure that further information and intelligence goes through his chain of command instead of outside of it. There is no easier way to get information then have it coming to you directly instead of having to look for it and take it from others.
Q4: Describe one event from your character’s past that defines who they are now.
I believe this originates in my origin story. Darkblade knew someone, he lost that person due to mistakes and is now pursuing power in order to be able to find said person eventually. The lust for power has grown on Darkblade and although he may stray from the path, he still has that singular goal.
Q5: What would be your character’s most prized possession?
That would be the Shadow Academy Sith Sword Darkblade acquired through reaching the top echelons of the Shadow Academy Society. Though Darkblade can't use it in a fight since he isn't skilled in using bladed weapons, it does adorn the wall of the QUA office he currently occupies.
Q6: During your time in the Brotherhood, what has been your favorite event? (Vendettas, Feuds, intra-clan events, etc.)
I honestly don't care much for events, feuds, etc that much. I really like to create them, host them and drive a story which excites members and makes them want to participate.
Q7: Who is one member of Taldryan’s past that newer members should know about?
I think it'd be very interesting to learn more about Vodo or Raist. Granted they are the only two members that come to mind since I don't know more.
Q8: Out of all your awards, titles and positions which one are you the most proud of?
When I was appointed QUA of House Shar Dakhan I was really happy and definitely proud of myself, considering my reputation at that time and the risk someone took to place me in that position. I vowed to myself to do the best I could do and to show that the faith put in me was not misplaced. Ultimately I enjoyed that position the most and am still proud of what I did during that time.
Q9: What traits do you think differentiate Taldryan and its members from the rest of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood?

Q10: Magic wand time. If you could make one change to any aspect of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood what would it be?
I'd like to change the way applications are done. Somehow more anonymous and less "This comes from member xxx, he/she must be qualified." I know it's almost impossible but I feel that that would cause less of a "biased choosing" system. Of course these are my own opinions and in no way reflect what may or may not be the actual process.
Q+1: True or True: Mav is the worst?

Random Fact Wrap Up
I recently learned that Clan’s do not only earn credits from Rites and Wars. The Clans also earn credits from everyday activities. To quote the wiki, “Member activity credit gaining. Whenever a member of a Clan, earns credits from one of the activities below, the Clan will be awarded 10x that number of credits. The list below has been chosen for repeatable activities that are the core of the activity done within the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.”

- Crescents
- Novas
- Competition Participation
- Organizing a competition
- Complete ACC battle
Want to upgrade the Clan flagship? Then let’s do some things! All of the things! Take for example placing second in a clan wide fiction competition. Participation earns the clan 2,250 credits, the Crescent with Ruby Star earns 8,000 and the two Clusters of Ice sprinkle 180 credits on top. So for an hour or so of work the Clan earned an additional 10,430 credits. This stuff adds up people so let’s get to work!
