Meowdy y’all,

I hope everyone has been having a good month thus far. I don’t have much to say in the form of introductions, so let’s just get right into it. Shall we?

The Happenings

• In case you missed it, our Aedile Tor (Sivall) released a report covering a lot of what has happened recently. It also featured the result of the survey she created to get a better idea of what Galeres members as a whole felt the House represented and what they would like to see moving forward.

  This report also announced the reintroduction of the Glory of Galeres as an item that any members of the House can earn. That means you too, Marshals! The Glory will be awarded on a rotating basis to whomever claims the top spot in activity for the month. Let’s see what you all can do!

• May The Fourth events have opened. That means you all have the opportunity to compete and earn those credits we all love so much. This also coincides with the opening of the celebration store, which you’ll be able to spend your earnings on. Remember that while players who participate solo can earn participation in these competitions, only a team can place. Feel free to link up with club members from other clans as well; it’s not clan specific. More information can be found here.

  And if anyone needs help finding a team, our lovely Proconsul Diy says they’re more than willing to help you do so.

• Arch is currently accepting applications for Magistrate to the Headmistress positions until April 24th. If you like doing wiki work or would be interested in learning how to do that, as well as learning how to grade and even create your own courses, feel free to read this to see what the job entails and how to apply.

• We also have new appointments to Herald Staff and an announcement of future plans to create new rules for AI entries. Go here to read more.

• Sivall needs your help developing the Galeres Field Medic corps!

• We now have a newsletter! And recruitment rewards!

• Our Quaestor, Ood (also known as Treeguy) just released an announcement on our plans to upgrade Galeres’ fleet, and to even give some new upgrades to the Marshal’s personal flagship, the Nighthawk! There is also a poll present that you should all vote on when you get the chance. Check it out here

• We’ve officially wrapped up both the multi-clan event and the Mother’s Love RP tie-in. Although the results are still being determined, I can share with you all that across the entire event, there were 54 unique participants. That’s awesome!

  That actually leads me to what this means for the Marshals in particular. Of course, the canon outcome of the event has to be released, but I think it’s safe to say that there will be a lot of damage to Selen and many, many people who call it home. The poll results I presented in my last report showed that, of the narrative options that everyone expressed interest in, “Disaster Response” and “Humanitarian Assistance” were the third and fourth most chosen topics, respectively. The aftermath of the clan event provides us with an opportunity to tell those very kinds of stories (and others, of course) through roleplay, and competitions.

  Once the results for the clan event are released, I’ll be working with other summit members and each of you to determine the narrative role the Marshals will play in all this.

I hope you’re all as excited as I am to see the results of the clan event, and to help me build a compelling and satisfying narrative for the Marshals.
