This medal is actually extremely late. Upon assuming the position of Grand Master I had intended on awarding multiple individuals who supported Muz during his incredible reign as the Grand Master. One of those members was Ashia. It is uncomfortable awarding family members, awarding spouses, awarding anyone connected to you, but that does not mean that those members did not participate in the improvement of this club or provide invaluable insight on untold projects.
Ashia's last sacramental award was never. Take that in, never. Her last promotion was five years ago. Members might look at those statistics and find an incredibly unfair and comparable time period with the exact same time her husband was in charge of our club. He wouldn't award her to avoid impropriety or at the very least complaints of impropriety.
So, I will fix it. Ashia Keibatsu served as not only an adviser to her husband, but also to myself, and a host of other Dark Council members. She participated in nearly every competition, project, and award for a period of four years with out award. Many of us would go to the JST with a violation this heavy, but Ash just dropped her head and accepted her role as a an unspoken adviser to the GM/DC.
I think we are probably way past the days of saying the wife, and active wife, of the Grand Master is beyond receiving awards. The unfairness of 5 years without a promotion and an entire DJB career without a SAC is agitating and incredibly disgusting.
Ashia provided insight, help, and work on nearly four years of projects, fictions, and quite frankly the existing state of the DJB without receiving one shred of credit. I'm not in favor of that now, or never.
I apologize for the late submission of this award, the attitudes that say "what did she really do", or any discrediting behavior to someone who has done so much for us.
Thanks Ash. I am indebted to your sacrifices and dedication to this club. I appreciate both you and your family for all you have done on our behalf.

The Herald has created six new versions of the website, new order logos, possession weapons, robes, ribbons, and new avatars. He has done this in a short amount of time and that hides the sheer volume of work accomplished. I asked V'yr to revitalize the office of the Herald and he has accomplished it. Time does not diminish achievement.
Congratulations.

I am proud to submit KE Locke Sonjie for the Dark Brotherhood's Sapphire Blade. Locke has been a tremendous addition to the role of Consuls and has served in the best way I can image. Locke serves by caring about his members, checking on his members, and fighting for his members. He engages the DC for their awards, he engages the DC on their behalf, and he generates a solid foundation for Naga Sadow to operate from. Congrats Locke!
GM Pravus
In a time where activity wasn’t exactly at a high point in Naga Sadow Locke stepped up as an Aedile and showed people, including his fellow summit members, that it is perfectly possible to participate in all events in a given competition, first by participating in all five events in the third round of Fading Lights, as one of only two people in the Clan to do so, and later by being the only Sadowan who participated in all 11 events in the eleventh Great Jedi War, he also participated in the first round of the Fading Lights where his run on team just missed out on the medals in fourth place.
In the last 14 months he has also participated in 20 Clan competitions, placing in the top three in 13 of them, seven out of those he placed first. Beyond participating in competitions he has also organized or co-organized 26 competitions in the last year, some of them were part of a multi-event clan competition he ran together with the Proconsul at the time, Macron Sadow. This event, Orian Assembly Three: Vengeance, ran for a little over three weeks and it came with many fictional updates from both organizers to help the people of the Clan to not only see the fictional direction the competition was going in but the clan as a whole as it played a big part of our fictional advancement, following the Dark Crusade and Fading Lights, the two major Brotherhood wide events that had helped stall the fictional advancement of Naga Sadow for the better part of two years which further emphasized the need for plot updates like the ones Locke and Macron provided. His most recent series of competitions, Proving Grounds, is a series of short and fun competitions with three competitions per week over three weeks, these have seen more participation than most competitions in the Clan has for the past two years.
His fictional updates also showed in his regular reports where he would start the report off with a brief piece of fiction revolving around mostly Shar Dakhan but sometimes the Clan as well and most recently he posted a rather long piece of fiction that explained the transition from me being Consul to him taking over, how a former Arconan had become his Proconsul and how the Clan would now be taking a more prominent and more public role in the running of our home system, Orian.
Outside of his regular duties as Aedile he also served as my sounding board last fall when we had to decide how to spend the many fleet points Naga Sadow had earned during the Dark Crusade and Fading Lights, I’m not exaggerating when I say we spent 20-30 hours discussing this, if not more. His input played a big part in our move towards trying to make the way our navy and army would work more realistic, even if the Brotherhood as a whole pays little attention to this. Of course this meant that I couldn’t have my Brotherhood-class Star Battlecruiser… damn him. In the end the many hours of discussions lead to a more well-rounded fleet and a much more well-rounded army, which may not have been the case if I’d been left to my own devices with the fleet points.
In the past year or longer Locke has consistently been the most active summit member, and member in Naga Sadow and I can’t think of anyone more worthy of this Sapphire Blade. Congratulations Misty… I mean Locke.
Son of Sadow
…………………………….
I am honoured to be recommending Locke for this Sapphire Blade. He has been a hard working and dedicated member of the Brotherhood, participating heavily during the Great Jedi War as well as the Crusade. As well as trying to help motivate members and keep them driven inside of the Clan, taking valuable time in his very busy personal life to go out of his way to assist them with anything and everything he can.
Since his last award, Locke has been a driving force inside of the Clan. Though most of his time has been spent leading, first House Shar Dakhan, then the Clan, as Malik has spoken about, I am here to point out all the things that are taken for granted. Since his last elevation Locke has managed to participate in a spectacular forty competitions, these include Fading Light, Great Jedi War XI and the Crusade in general, helping Naga Sadow continue to participate in events and giving the approach of leading by example. All the while encouraging members to participate themselves. For all his efforts he has managed to earn himself: Two Crescents with Sapphire Star, Five Crescents with Amethyst Star, One Crescent with Topaz Star, One Crescent with Quartz Star, Five Crescents with Emerald Star and Two Legions of the Scholar.
If this wasn't enough for the participation in competitions, Vendettas and the Great Jedi War, it has also seen Locke pick up Twenty-Seven Seals of the Crusader and Eleven Seals of Revelation in response to the competitions he has participated in. With Locke its almost a guarantee that he loves his fiction. Its something that I have come to expect from him and he has undoubtedly proved it to most. For his work inside of Run-Ons, fiction events or just general writing activities offered by the Brotherhood he has managed to earn himself a total of Twenty-Seven Clusters of Ice.
But Locke, having spent most of his time in the Brotherhood in leadership, listens to what the members want. For that reason he has run a huge amount of competitions, supplying members with things to get stuck into and engage with the lore and direction of the Clan. Needless to say he has aimed to please everyone and in doing so, has given the members of Clan Naga Sadow forty-two different competitions to get involved in! That’s an insane number, yet continuing to promote each of them with the same passion he has always had for this Club.
For all of his efforts Locke has put in inside of Clan Naga Sadow, he continues to earn himself merit medals. Through dedication, drive and passion he has managed to achieve One Steel Cross, One Anteian Cross and One Dark Cross since his last elevation. Locke is never one to want praise or thanks for his work, he keeps his head down and tries to stay under the radar. Even for the good that he does, all of his efforts and time he committed into the Clan saw him receive Two Seals of Loyalty as recognition for this time consuming, hard work.
He goes out of his way to help others, I have seen him come in exhausted from work and instantly sit down and start interacting with members and leaders alike, all to improve the working of Clan Naga Sadow. Though he may not care to admit it, he puts the members of this Clan above himself all the time, if he has a spare five minutes he will speak to members and try and get their opinion on matters like where to take the Clan in the future, what they want to see inside of the unit, competitions, events, anything you can think of. All geared towards getting everyone and anyone involved in the progression of the Clan.
Sometimes what people ask of him takes him out of his comfort zone. With Locke very much preferring to write, he has taken up the call of gaming when it is needed, as such he has also managed to earn himself Ten Clusters of Fire. All the while encouraging the gamers of the Clan to continue their quests, their raids and their flashpoints.
Since I’ve joined Clan Naga Sadow, my journey with Locke has been a non-stop upwards ride. Sure, we have had some downs, but that is always going to happen in any endeavor. He has always looked ahead; what we want to achieve, what we want to happen and has not stopped getting everyone involved in learning their roles and responsibilities. Since stepping up to the position of Consul of Naga Sadow, Locke has released multiple joint report informing members of all the changes that have been taking place inside the Brotherhood as well as trying to get older members back in the swing of things on the site.
He has had to take control of a relatively new Summit since taking on the responsibilities. Having to teach a Proconsul on the fly, and having to adjust him into the way Naga Sadow operates. Something I can say he did with great detail and quickly, making me feel part of the team almost instantly and getting me to the level of understanding I have for this great Clan to date. Though he has pushed me further, making me think on everything and never taking out of the equation the way to speak and interact with members and deal with every kind of situation that takes place inside of the Brotherhood.
As well as showing me all of my roles, we have recently had to start over with a new House summit within House Shar Dakhan and a new Quaestor of House Marka Ragnos. Locke has been interacting with them and getting them to a level where they have been productive and hell-bent on the expansion of Clan Naga Sadow, keeping the clan at an all time high in terms of membership. When Locke took over the Consulship, we had forty-one members at best, now we sit at sixty members with activity flooding our inboxes on a daily basis.
He has been productive in organizing and maintaining smooth and effective communication with both members and leaders. Recently, Locke has organised and run a three week long event with a series of competitions called ‘Proving Grounds’ which have been wildly successful so far in attracting members of all ranks and experience to participate. In a Clan that that had so recently suffered from a lack of activity during the last few rounds of the Dark Crusade, the work Locke has put in to capitalize on the revamping of the Clan, the new Summit and the drive towards the future has produced that activity that was so needed.
Since Naga Sadow change we have seen steady progress, something that the Clan needed for some time. Leadership is about giving and Locke continues to do so, making sure that the members under him are always busy with something to do, from running competitions to having events to get involved in. It seems that he is always looking at new ways that he can expand and progress the Clan something that is expected of every Consul. During my time serving under him he has seen Clan Naga Sadow get involved in a joint event with Scholae Palatine. This event was something that was planned form the start, with Locke constantly communicating with the summit of Scholae to get the event organised as well as having a plan on how to deliver fun competitions to the members.
The event was well executed from the beginning to the end, making sure that he knew each step and that everyone did there jobs, as well as pushing the Leaders of Naga Sadow to get there members involved, for all these late nights of planning and constant back and forth communication we saw a well organised event that brought us more activity. Locke is a stable figure head for Naga Sadow and always knows whats going on, as well as how to drive and encourage his members keeping open communication with everyone. Its an awesome sight to see and one that has been missed in Naga Sadow.
For all of your hard work, it is with joyous and well deserved honour that I see you awarded this Sacramental Blade. You have been completely outstanding in everything you strive to do; from day to day IRC presence to emailing members, to working with the leadership and guiding new journeymen. All of it is to a very high standard. Thank you for everything Locke and I look forward to our huge pile of work in the future. Congratulations bud, looks like the drinks are going to be on you tonight!
Proconsul of Naga Sadow
I’m not one to mince words. Locke has been a godsend to Naga Sadow.
His work within the Clan has given hope to it, revitalized the love that the members have, encouraged new members to join and contribute. We often find that units are like families. They have the jokers, the parents, the annoying children, the weird uncle. Locke is the guiding light within that family, the father figure.
My interactions with Locke have always been interesting. We first hit it off when I was Quaestor of House Galeres all those years ago and Locke was in his first stint as Consul of Naga Sadow. We often had long discussions via pm about issues we were facing and possible solutions and ideas. I cherished those namely because Locke always had a unique way of solving those problems and made me think about how I as a leader could contribute and continue to both involve and motivate my members. Since then, I’ve counted him as both a friend and an example to follow.
Locke has always been an inspiration to those around him, even though he won’t admit it or even thought about it himself. He creates lore, he teaches both leaders and members how to behave, what he expects from them and what they can expect from him. He gives so much, his time, his ideas, his dedication.
Locke is more than deserving of the rank this Sacramental. As such, I’m adding my recommendation so that he can stand as a veritable beacon of what it means to continually put others before . Congratulations, Locke. I know it won’t go to your head when I say nice things.

Howlader was one of the applicants during my initial Praetor search, and while I ultimately select Evant I also knew Howie’s experience and wisdom were not things to brush aside. He had, after all, already served as P:MAA before! So I tweaked the system and arranged for a Special Magistrate, an advisor of sorts with specific instructions not to process requests (because I wanted my Magistrate to learn how to do these things). Instead, he helped guide discussions. He helped answer questions. After a time he helped correct backend mistakes with competitions. He also helped returning members restore dossier medals and accomplishments.
Howie is also Howie, and pretty much everyone knows what that means: no nonsense, tell it straight, not afraid to let you have it. He’s seen it all before. He’s one of those single digit dossier types. And he has not agreed with all of my MAA ideas. I specifically wanted Magistrates to process requests, not he. He presented potential issues, but went along for the ride. He’s never liked MAA competitions (not that there are many), but all the same helps us select golden recommendations. Sometimes we discuss things in way too much detail, but he also helps bounce ideas around or provides much needed “how does this compare to previous MAA” feedback.
I consider my staff to be the absolute fundamental reason why the MAA Office succeeds. They are awesome, and from August 2014 to June 2015 Howie served an integral part of that staff. Nearly every Equite and Elder promotion, every sacramental award, and most everything else involved discussion. Sometimes everyone walks away agreeing; sometimes the room is divided, but Howie always keeps pushing forward (all while achieving leadership milestones in Taldryan, I will add). He served perfectly in his made up Special Magistrate position, and I want to recognize these feats as he now moves on to real responsibilities as Praetor. Thank you, Howie, for all your hard work and tireless ranting. — Aabsdu Dupar, Master at Arms

Through the few months I have worked with the Panda, he has truly taught Kord and I a lot. As many have said, Howie doesn't beat around the bush. Some might find this harsh, but for the few people who have worked along side him, we know it the way of the Panda. Howie has been around this club longer than some members have been alive. I haven't witnessed many members as dedicated to this club, it's values, and further growth as Howie shows on a daily basis. It takes a passionate member to stay around and do all that Howie continues to do for the advancement of our online world. I know I don't have to say it, but keep doing great things for this club as we do appreciate your guidance and efforts.
Maximus Alvinius, 2015-06-27 19:33:11 UTC
For 10 straight months, with only a few leaves from his duty, Howie consistently dedicated himself to his position as Special Magistrate to the Master at Arms. To say he was in charge of yelling, is both true, and also a bit of an oversimplification of the services he provided to the team. He brought years of experience and a well reasoned albeit noisy point of view to a countless number of debates and discussions, and while I'll be the first to admit a recommendation always reads better with something quantifiable, in this case I think it was actually too many debates and discussions to be counted. He in many cases took the opposing view against the entire team, quite often things wouldn't go his way, but he was passionate about his stance and we all continued to grow as a team as we digested all the reasons we were wrong time and time again. All this showed a great dedication to his position.
Everything above is great to show all the stuff that Howie did, which is a lot of it, but it was his influence and impact on the entire Master at Arms team, including myself and now second set of Magistrates, that makes me feel nothing short of a sacramental award would do to award him for his service. As the two of us would go back and forth in emails, he really elevated my own personal knowledge of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood way of rewards and systems in general. Congratulations on your Sapphire Blade Howie, and look forward to more yelling. Beer is on me!
Lord Evio Nezsa, 2015-06-27 19:03:06 UTC
Howie has been a great source of information these past few months, as well as reinforcement. He’s never been one to mince words, what you need to know he tells you in plain and unconfusing terms. Riding herd on both Landon and myself, he’s been there to answer questions and to prod us into doing whatever is on the table at the time despite our own feelings of caution and indecision, assuring us of what we’re doing. He’s done a great job helping Aabs teach us the job, and has been a huge value to the MAA office as a whole.

Since I have begun working with Cethgus, I have witnessed a member with an amazing amount of dedication, drive, and commitment to the Brotherhood. Detailed below is his work not only with me, but as an awesome leader to his new Clan, as a project coordinator, and as a motivator. I can safely say that I would not be where I am today were it not for Cethgus.
To begin with, Cethgus has shown a remarkable ability to coordinate projects. As soon as he became Proconsul in Naga Sadow, Cethgus looked at the Clan wiki pages and catalogued what needed work or what would need revision. He then called for volunteers to work on the pages, and assigned pages to each volunteer as they came in. After this, Cethgus got them onto a Hangouts call where he could do one page as an example, demonstrating exactly what was expected and clarifying that for anyone that did not know how to do it. This has resulted in several pages being completed quickly and efficiently. Cethgus was able to demonstrate what was necessary, keep everyone organized, and also keep them on task.
Cethgus is also a leader in the more social aspects of the Clan. He regularly gets members involved in IRC conversations and Google+ Hangouts, gradually helping those who are more shy to socialize and also emailing older members to get them involved. Cethgus has organized weekly Hangouts, often scheduling them far in advance so everyone has a chance to join in. These activities have greatly increased the level of involvement from the Clan. Members are glad to have a Proconsul who reaches out to and speaks to them. As a result of Cethgus' efforts, they join our conversations, and then continue to be involved in Clan activities.
Cethgus has set an awesome example for other Summit members, in addition to his efforts to help the Clan. He takes the time in Hangouts or in written discussion to explain to them in detail what they need to do. For instance, our House leaders were recently planning events for April, and when it seemed like they might not know how to approach it, Cethgus got everyone together and explained how to get started. He has integrated quickly with the Clan, and worked alongside myself to provide stronger guidelines on Summit requirements, ensuring the effective operation of our Summit. For instance, with Cethgus' help, I have been able to get a lot more effort out of the Clan Summit, while keeping them interested and enthusiastic.
One way Cethgus exemplifies great leadership was represented in the recent week when we had no Rollmaster. Cethgus took it upon himself to perform the duties during this time, taking the initiative to volunteer for it immediately. In this role, he contacted every Journeyman in the Clan, he established at least three Master-Student Pairs out of existing members, and assisted a long time member of the Clan to get to Knighthood. In this way, Cethgus demonstrated the proper role of a Rollmaster, while we were running applications to fill the position.
In addition, Cethus has been a great partner to me in returning to Clan leadership. He his almost always available for me to bounce ideas off of and discuss things with. He has brought many good ideas to the table, and offers a unique perspective. When I ask for a blunt, honest opinion, Cethgus doesn't hesitate to provide one. We have also been able to coordinate our actions really well, so that when one of us is busy, the other is usually able to address Summit and member concerns. One example where Cethgus was very helpful was in the recent Proving Grounds event we ran for Naga Sadow. He helped me brainstorm competition ideas and write the competitions. Then he encouraged members to participate by building a friendly, competitive atmosphere. Finally, when it came to judging, Cethgus helped with a lot of the leg work with the competitions and offered constructive opinions on the ones that were more difficult to judge.
Furthermore, Cethgus' accolades have demonstrated his drive and dedication to the club since his previous award. He was Quaestor of House Galeres in Arcona for thirteen months, from his previous award in January 2014, to his transfer to Naga Sadow in February of 2015. He served as a Magistrate to the Fist for six months, from that same January to June 2014. He ran 25 competitions during this time and participated in 22. The competitions he ran included a Clan wide event called "Figureheads", which he jointly ran with SBM Nikola Valtiere. He also wrote much of a wiki page for this event. He earned 521 Clusters of Fire, 20 Clusters of Ice, three Pendants of Blood, and an Emerald Crescent during this time as well. Finally, he earned a Scroll of the Master for mentoring a student to Dark Jedi Knight. As a House leader, Cethgus led the way, having high participation in both Fading Lights and the Great Jedi War. As Quaestor, Cethgus released a report every month, and as Magistrate, he helped coordinate the TOR guild, releasing four news announcements to promote it.
Though I was not present for the Quaestor activities, and am not a TOR player myself, the facts of Cethgus' history speak volumes about his involvement in his Clan and the club, and his dedication and leadership. He led from the front lines in competitions with high participation. He set a quality example for other leaders with his regular, well-done reports, while also taking the time to mentor a student to Dark Jedi Knight, as noted above.
The above paragraphs show again and again that Cethgus is a highly dedicated individual and a value to the Brotherhood as a whole, as well as any Clan in which he involves himself. He served for a long time in Arcona before switching to Naga Sadow. Cethgus exemplified the example that Arcona seeks to set in helping the Brotherhood, by sacrificing his career in a highly successful Clan to transfer and assist one that was really struggling. In just a short time, Cethgus has helped me turn Naga Sadow into a powerhouse that shows little signs of the stagnation and defeat it suffered from only months before.
For these reasons, I would like to recognize Cethgus Tiberius Entar with this Sapphire Blade, for his extensive efforts across two Clans. Thank you, Cethgus, for being such a valuable part of our Brotherhood.

Since his last major merit award 14 months ago, Cethgus served dutifully as Quaestor of House Galeres before making his move to Naga Sadow as Proconsul. As Quaestor, Cethgus set the example for what a Summit member and leader in this club should strive for; he sent countless emails to his members during times of both war and downtime. He maintained a catalogue of every one of his members state of minds, needs, and where they were at not just in the club, but in real life. If I ever asked, “What is up with member X”, he would be able to tell me their story. This does not translate to paper, so I can’t tell you how many specific examples of this there was. He simply did them, and it translated to his success as a Quaestor, and the activity of House Galeres speaks for itself over the course of his time leading it.
Cethgus was a full participant in all three rounds of the Fading Light Vendetta, tackling every single event. That consistency carried over into GJWXI. He was the first Arconan to go 4/4 in individual events for Round 2, before most of us had even read the prompts. I had to do a double take when I saw the message, and then watched him finish up strong by getting 100% participation overall. This is Standard Operating procedure for Cethgus; business as usual. He leads by example by doing every single event, even the ones he’s not good or comfortable at. It’s contagious and infects not just his own members, but those of the entire Clan.
He’s also earned a Scroll of the Master for guiding Lexi Sarden to Dark Jedi Knight. He’s earned over 328 CFs and served as a Magistrate to the Fist for 7 months.
As Quaestor his reports were clear, detailed, and on time. Anytime two members in his unit had an issue, he resolved it quickly and efficiently. Anytime two leaders were at odds, he could step in and handle it. If he had an issue, we’d hop on Google Plus, talk it out, and have a resolution in a timely manner. He inspires everyone around him to be active by being active himself. He was the co-runner of Operation: Figureheads where he helped run 11 events and the story that accompanied it. He worked on the spreadsheet, input totals, and made sure it was presentable for the unit.
For his continued and unwavering dedication as a Quaestor through a year of Warfare and conflict, It is my privilege to award Cethgus another Sapphire Blade.
Marick Arconae
Consul Emeritus
Legend Wally, 2015-04-15 18:08:09 UTC
Stability is an important component of success, especially success in the long-term. House Galeres, under Cethgus’ tenure as Quaestor, unquestionably achieved long-term success, and much of it started with the stability that he presented at the top.
When I first came to know Cethgus, he was a gamer, a somewhat hot-headed competitor with a passion for the Brotherhood. Today, he’s a much different figure, and as a result of his development and continual personal improvement, he’s been tapped to take another step in the organization’s hierarchy. He has become level-headed and even-handed, authoritative yet accessible, and he has helped to mentor a large crop of current and future leaders, in Arcona and elsewhere. He is now a much more multi-faceted member.
Cethgus was been an absolute blessing to Clan Arcona, because he could be counted on at all times and in all situations to do his duty and to serve the Clan. There was never any need to pull teeth, send reminder emails, or do any prodding at all. His conflict resolution skills were impeccable during his tenure as Quaestor. Operation: Figureheads was a particular success for him, as he co-ran it from its time as a lifeless idea to a finished product. He was on G+ every chance he got, hanging out with his members and encouraging them to excel. Cethgus was as steady as they come, and he served as one of Arcona’s anchors for years.
Good luck in Naga Sadow, Cethgus -- they’ve gained a tremendous talent, and Arcona has lost one. But because of your work, we know that there are dozens ready to take your place. Congrats!
Legorii Arconae, Proconsul of Clan Arcona
Legorii Arconae, 2015-04-15 18:08:59 UTC
I had the honor of serving as Cethgus’ Aedile for the entirety of his most recent term as Galeres’ Quaestor, and I could say many things about him. However, in the interest of being direct, I will say only this: Cethgus is a good man, and great leader, and an even better mentor and friend, and all these things transition into everything he does.
In his last few months as Quaestor, he single-handedly wrote our monthly reports when I was too busy with exams or moving to help. He never once complained about it or belittled me, instead coaching me to do what I could and uphold my Aedile position. He helped co-organize the House Run-On, Operation: Revival, that I wanted to spearhead, giving me the chance at leading it but always having my back if I needed him. Very soon, the busy months of House and Clan Run-On events that Cethgus had a hand in lead into the new year and the Eleventh Great Jedi War.
During the War, Cethgus was standing strong beside me as always, a bastion of confidence and encouragement to our members. He lead with exemplary grace as always, sending no less than four emails - besides replying to many others - to the Clan and the House during Wartime. He encouraged our membership, and, moreover, lent us all his experienced advice for the Gaming portion of the War. One of his emails detailed an update on gaming conduct and practices in Wartime for those of us, like myself, who had never encountered a War, and two more subsequent emails explained each Round’s gaming set-up and rules as well as offering tips and encouragement for the other event listings. He lead by example, advertising when he completed all four events of each round and challenging his members to do the same. He helped put multiple Run-On, Battleplan, and Multimedia teams together and went wherever he was needed to help complete teams. I have no doubt that our House — and therefore Clan — succeeded as it did because of his contributions and his efforts.
Thank you, Cethgus, for all you did for Galeres and for Arcona. You served long, you served loyally, and now that you’ve gone on to help others, I can only be happy in knowing that they’ll get to know you too. Congrats on the Sapphire Blade, brother!
Consul of Clan Arcona
Golden Envoy Abbey Atty Attiter Ann, 2015-04-15 18:09:43 UTC
Though he has now left us for the new scenery of Clan Naga Sadow, Cethgus had easily been one of the easiest people I have worked with during his time as Quaestor of House Galeres. Whilst I was still Rollmaster, he was always on the ball with what Journeyman was where, helping me immensely with making sure that no Galerean was missed out during my audits.
Later on, when I took a new role as Captain of the Soulfire Strike Team, Ceth was always there to help me out when I needed it. The support that he gave during that time was second to none, and underpinned just how good he can be when he puts his mind to it.
Congratulations, Stu. Enjoy this second Sapphire Blade!

OK, so the first image I get in my head is that of his recent GJW Multimedia entry. However, once I get past that, I see nothing but a hardworking and dedicated member of the unit. I’ll start with his stellar work as Aedile in Ajunta Pall. Furios is always keeping the summit, all of us, on our toes. Be it with his quick wit or level headed ideas, he’s always there keeping things moving. He may not have his name on reports, but he’s often there working hand in hand with Teylas. He does everything we ask of him and a fair bit more. Furios also was responsible for pushing forward a number of our team events, including the aforementioned multimedia entry as well as a run on team. His leadership as made HAP, and Plagueis as a whole, a better place since he’s taken over the job.
While that alone would warrant recognition, Furios has also been one of the most active members in the unit. Since July, Furios has competed in 35 competitions, including all eight in the Anchorage event (in which he took second overall) and ten more in the Great Jedi War. In addition, Furios ran two competitions, both of which served to supplement things we were doing in the unit at large. Among those efforts he’s picked up a number of crescents and a Legion of the Scholar. Furios is an example to others in the unit and also successfully mentored a number of members, most notably Ra’gnar for which he’s received a Scroll of the Master. He’s also been working hard with Azmodius to make him a better member and has been having a fair amount of success.
While I’ll leave it to others to talk about other things, such as his gaming prowess and work with the Fist’s office, I just wanted to reiterate what an important contributor Furios is. Without him, we’d be out a solid leader, a good mentor, an active member, and a source of constant entertainment in the summit channel.
Good work sir!

Last July Furios came onto the Fist Staff as the individual responsible for running TOR activities for our Club. Within a month of joining the staff Furios proposed an overhaul of the way that Officers are chosen within the TOR Guild and what responsibilities those Officers would have. This improvement also resulted in a much needed shake up of the Guild Officers. Shortly after completion of that he conducted a review of Clusters of Fire earned for TOR, first of Flashpoints and later Operations. There were some modifications made to ensure that the Clusters of Fire remained balanced to all other platforms, this is an ongoing and difficult battle in a game like TOR and requires constant vigilance.
Finally Furios turned his gaze to the entire rank structure of the TOR Guild, and proposed a new setup entirely. Merging some ranks to eliminate redundancy. When TOR's newest expansion launched in December of 2014 Furios quickly made recommendations for establishing the Cluster of Fire awards for the new Flashpoints, as well as modifying them for older Flashpoints which had been changed with the expansion.
In addition to all of the background administrative work Furios has been active in TOR, running a weekly raid which is open for any member to join. Furios has done an exceptional job managing the TOR guild over these past eight months. Well done and congratulations! You've earned it!

A Sapphire Blade is said to be given to the most consistently dedicated members of a clan. Without a doubt, that is exactly what Furios has done. Furios became my Aedile almost immediately upon my ascension to Quaestor almost a year ago. Since then he has diligently been by my side learning, doing anything asked of him, and most importantly as a leader and member of our summit: helping to guide new members in their journey through the Brotherhood. Essentially anything you could want from a right hand man. His involvement "behind the scenes" has been critical going back to even before Plagueis was a clan, helping to create much of what we did back then, and continuing to help keep the clan an active, fun place to be.
Others will talk about quantifiable things that Furios has done to earn this Sapphire Blade, but it's what you can't necessarily quantify that Furios has done that has earned this. His assistance to the daily running of Ajunta Pall has been, without a doubt, a great asset to both Plagueis and I. I couldn't imagine anyone else really helping me run Ajunta Pall like Furios does, and especially his ability to jump onto problems before they even really become problems. I can only hope that Furios is around for another year to keep the running of Ajunta Pall as smooth as the first year was! I also expect this Sapphire Blade won't stop Furios from pumping out a House report six hours before it's due as I've asked him to do on more than one occasion. Whoops! Congratulations.

It takes a lot of work to rally people to partake in a war. It's easy to get lost in the little details, or get stuck on your own submissions and forget that you have those folks relying on you to pump them up, get them excited, let alone they myriad proofing, suggesting, and other help that leaders give our members. On the other side of that, it takes a deft hand to sooth hurt feelings, when someone puts a lot of work into a submission, only to have it not place. It stings when that happens, and it takes a strong leader to help that member dust themselves off and learn from the experience rather than wallow in it. Vivackus in Plagueis and Rian in Taldryan both found themselves doing just that over the course of this last war and during Fading Light. For their efforts, I am awarding them both Sapphire Blades. ~Muz Ashen, the Lion of Tarthos

Something that I have repeated so many times that it is almost nauseating is that 'Leadership is action, not position.' We've come to expect more out of our Dark Council than the narrow scope of work that their job descriptions describe, but still among these rockstars, Mav stepped up the game. With this last Great Jedi War, Mav led the charge on working to come up with scoring schemes, event coordination, and then grading and score/participation compilation. It's no small task, and it's not sexy or even fun, but it is necessary work to keep up with the breakneck pace that we have all grown accustomed to. While relatively new to the position, Mav has taken initiative and ran with it, and it's that work ethic and attitude that is beyond commendable. As a token of my thanks, I am recommending him for a Sapphire Blade to add to his collection. Thanks again, Mav. It means a lot. ~Muz Ashen, the Lion of Tarthos

I’ve always seen choosing members for leadership in the DJB as somewhat of a gamble. It is easy to tell if a member is likely to be active by the amount they participated in things before joining leadership. It is easy to tell if they will be available by their response time to emails and their IRC presence. The general quality of their application to a given position will display their attention to detail and the bar of quality that they set for themselves. All these things are important, but they still only shed light on a fraction of the picture that is necessary to know if the member would be a good leader. The intangibles - the things you can’t know beforehand - these are where Arden shines, and how I know that my gamble for him as my PCON paid off.
Arden knows how I think, and any leader can attest to how useful of a quality that is in for a member of their staff. It is important for a leader to be on the same page as their staff, and I’m pretty sure that Arden and I are on the same sentence. When I ask Arden what he thinks on a subject of importance to Plagueis, his response is almost always identical to my own line of thinking. Recently when I moved to a new city for a new job, I was comfortable with letting Arden represent me, and by extension the entire Clan Plagueis, on the Dark Summit for some important discussions during the time I didn’t have reliable internet. This is not to say that we agree on everything, or that Arden is content to be a “Yes Man.” If he doesn’t agree with me on something, Arden isn’t afraid to say so, and will lay his case out in an extremely rational manner. Arrden handles himself with a high level of professionalism that is uncommon in the DJB.
Over the better part of the last year, Arden has also been one of the most active members of Plagueis. He has been a master to a student (Misium) and a participant in every event in the Fading Light competition (helping contribute to a Second place for Clan Plagueis in the Runon, and a run to the quarterfinal round of the ACC ladder). For various competitions, over the past couple of months, he placed in 9. Since the beginning of the summer, Arden accrued 100 CoFs (if my math is right) and Pennant of Blood for gaming. As one of the better writers in the Clan, he earned 15 Clusters of Ice, and recently joined the Voice’s office as a Magistrate to help with the fictional development of the DJB at large. Earlier this summer, Arden helped with the fictional components of the Spheres of Influence Feud, and this past month, he judged half of the Anchorage event.
All this while he performed the duties of Proconsul, and Quaestor before that. Arden is a very personable leader. When I returned to the DJB proper from the Rogues, Arden was the first person to reach out to me, and he always takes time to get to know the new Journeymen that join the Clan. As a Clan Summit member, Arden has been intimately involved in just about every aspect of running the Clan. He manages Plagueis’ Order of Battle, has mentored Taranae when she was learning the ropes at being Rollmaster, and takes the lead on Clan wiki projects.
Sacramental awards, not unlike Equite level promotions, do not come about easy and require a strong case to be made for a consistent, high level of dedication, and I believe I’ve outlined here that Arden has hit that mark.

There isn't a lot I can say about Arden, as I believe Viv has it summed up. A fantastic PCON and also Magistrate to the voice, he excels in all he does. He seems to have taken it upon himself to be the first and foremost when it comes to having fiction entries proofed and does it with great gusto. One can always rely on Arden to make sure your i's are dotted and t's are crossed whenever you ask for help. He's always been there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it and will go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure people in the Brotherhood are happy, be they Plagueis or otherwise, and is approachable and friendly. He is one of those rare people that one always finds it easy to get along with, even if you bug him or vice versa.
I recommend Arden for a Sapphire Blade. This man is amazing and should be awarded for his work to the Brotherhood.
Envoy Taranae Rhode, 2014-12-31 14:58:37 UTC
Arden has been an excellent Magistrate, assisting in multiple projects since the end of Fading Light. While the majority of both his tenure as a staff member, and mine as Voice, has been swamped with Vendetta-related activities, Arden none the less has demonstrated consistent activity that is deserving of acknowledgement. From his first days on staff, he and I have been planning projects and working together to make the Brotherhood a better place. He has focused on on two important projects as of late, both aimed at improving transparency in Voice office expectations of membership competitions and character sheets.
First, he has written up the Voice competition approval guidelines. Arden noticed quickly that while we were consistent in what and how we were remanding competitions, new members seemed to struggle with requirements the Voice's staff had for competitions. While we had previously talked about such requirements in reports, we did not have a single place to store them. Arden changed that, creating a Wiki page and writing up our requirements. Second, Arden undertook an evaluation and updating of our character sheet approval guidelines, focusing initially on aspect length, though it has since branched into a larger review and update of our guidelines to better assist members, hopefully limiting remands they receive. Arden consulted forty randomly selected aspects, catalogued the length and membership information, and reported the median and mean values for aspects, important information that allowed us to make a decision on recommended aspect length, and requirements on Aspect length in response to staff feedback on Aspects getting unwieldy. Furthermore, he streamlined sections of the guide and attempted to improve uniformity in language use, improving clarity and readability.
While I can't speak directly to Arden's work within Plagueis, his work for the Brotherhood as a whole has been exemplary so far. It is my honor to be part of his recommendation for a Sapphire Blade. Congratulations, Arden!

I start with a fact: without the neverending contributions, dedication, hard work, and loyalty of Arden, Clan Plagueis would not only be a very different place but it may well not be a clan at all.
During the Plagueis house feud “Sphere of Influence,” Arden was instrumental in its crafting, promotion, and success. He assisted Solus and myself in generating the plotline, helped write profiles for the NPCs, and most importantly pushed their house members to participate. The entire point of the feud was participation, and the work of the house summit was invaluable in generating that activity. He didn’t just tell people to participate, he participated himself- in nine of the eleven events (placing in the Top Five in most of those nine). Arden's efforts paid off.
Arden was promoted in November '13 for his leadership and participation during the Dark Crusade, and one need ask anyone in Plagueis to hear about how he hasn’t stopped being awesome since.
First, after Plagueis resounding success during the Crusade, Arden assumed the vital position of House Rollmaster. Not an easy task, as any will tell, but he took up the call with vigor and eagerness. He crafted a great welcome email that he fired off to new joins within mere hours, following up as they moved through the early ranks. His clear organization and system of records through Google Drive made the transition to me as Rollmaster an easy one. Bigger still, Arden was key in developing Plagueis’ system of using the battle teams as training grounds for new members, almost House Rollmasters, until members have masters to guide them to DJK. Arden served as BTL and knew the importance of the position; as Rollmaster, Arden continued to support and encourage our BTLs even when the position can seem fruitless with dead joins.
Then the leadership went to work on our clanning proposal document. Monty, Bubba, Arden, Teylas, Slagar, and myself all participated in debate, discussion, and drafting of the proposal that was received well by Muz and Raken and turned Plagueis into a clan once again. Arden was a clear choice for a Quaestor position, and took up the mantle in House Karness Muur.
His performance is exceptional. There’s the usual - reports, hosting some competitions, keeping in touch with members, helping the BTL guide new joins into the experience, helping guide me into the RM position. Then there’s the extra awesome -- Arden is a crucial piece of Clan Plagueis’ fictional system of lore and history, working closely with Slagar and Teylas to develop our quasi-feudal system and craft our “masters from the shadows” style of roleplaying we now use. He is a strong and firm hand of Dread, even if HKM is fictionally the “subtle” ones.
This Sapphire Blade is a long time coming. Arden is one of Plagueis’ most active members, most lively members, most energetic members. He is a key piece in the puzzle of who we are, and for all of this work I am proud to put forth his first sacramental reward. Congratulations, Arden!
