Odanites,
Apologies for the lateness, Winter Storm Landon dumped a ton of ice in the area, and we’ve finally gotten back to normal. In this report, we’ll update you on the roleplay, get our assets in order, and throw come congratulations around! So, with the power on and the heat restored, I bring you the news...
The new roleplay system is live, which means that roleplays are more accessible and better than ever. Arch detailed in his third Exarch report how to join an already active session or how to start your own. Then, it’s as simple as a few mouse clicks on Discord, and you’re ready to begin your adventure.
Why the big push for roleplay? Because it’s fun! Sure, you can draft up a fiction to tell your character’s story, but what you’re not able to do is interact with other player characters in a way that you have little control over. If control is your thing, then you do you, but you may get some interesting responses to your actions and have to think about how your character would react to something outside of themselves. One example was to have to get out of a situation, unable to use the Force, and relying on teamwork and skill to do it. Not easy if all you’ve played was a Force user, but it got the participants to think of their characters a little differently. The response from this was great. Everyone had fun.
Now, if writing isn’t your thing or you’re in a creative slump, roleplay is fantastic for you. The story is moved along by the DM and reacted to by the other characters, there is no minimum word count for a post, and you have others to play alongside. Members who stare at the cursor for an hour and struggle to get something going have little effort writing 500, 1000, 1500 words over the length of the story. These earn them CAs Clusters of Ice, which are suitable for promotions by checking that Character Fiction box or leveling up in the Inquisitorius. Even if you are new to roleplay, many people on the site have been doing RP stuff in one form or another most of their lives and are willing to help guide you and answer any questions you have. Wally had even begun a beginners RP for this, and as a Clan, we’ve been doing casual RPs for a couple of years now, so if you ever want to partake, you’ll have plenty of support.

We’ve been chomping at the bit for Planetary Assets to drop by the Regent staffers (huge thanks to everyone involved), and I have to say, we are not disappointed. We had many credits going into this, plus now 200,000,000 more, to burn in the Antares Construction Group store. Turel and I will be combing through all of our Clan wiki pages looking for relevant bases, settlements, and temples to fill out our planetary slots, plus using custom aspects from the pages to set them apart. Additionally, both Xolarin and Gui are drafting up lists for things they would like to use for their Houses.
While owned by the Clan, these assets will ultimately be purchased and outfitted by you, the members of Odan-Urr. Many of the events we run serve to fill in the gaps in our lore and build on what has already been established, most of which have been created by your submissions. Your contributions give these assets life. We have plenty of ships and soon bases to use in your fiction stories, roleplays, or personal character fiction. Remember that while you can’t claim ownership of any of these yourselves, you certainly can be onboard them and interact with their crews or facility staffers. If something interests you and you think it would be a great addition to the Clan or the Houses, let us know via email or competition entry.
Another side project of ours will be a reevaluation of our Clan fleet. With the upcoming Clan Fleet Upgrades announced by the Regent, we will be taking a critical look at our Clan fleet and unit ships to see how we use them and what we would benefit from as far as upgrades are concerned.
If you have any ideas you‘d like to propose, please feel free to share them. We build COU together.
A while back, we were asked to come up with Clan artifacts that would be created and added to the possession system to slot in our inventory. We would be granted three, and the first two things that came to mind are the Scimitar of Lord Hoth and the “Chosen One,” which was the artifact that we secured with our win in the feud against Plagueis. I’ve linked each of these items to their corresponding wiki pages for further study. In addition, we received some clarification on the Technocratic Artifact that we obtained from RoS: Meridian.
Scimitar of Lord Hoth - The Scimitar of Lord Hoth is a curved, single-edged vibrosword whose hilt was cast from material taken from what remains of Fort Pernicar and whose durasteel blade was forged with metals mined from Solyiat. At the base of the blade itself, the symbol of Hoth has been etched into the metal and inlaid with rubies and sapphires from New Tython. The overall length of the weapon is 101cm with a blade length of 85cm. Imbued with the light side, the Scimitar of Lord Hoth bathes its wielder in a healing aura and vibrates when in close proximity to Dark Jedi. The Scimitar is awarded to the member who has been named "Champion of Odan-Urr" by obtaining the most activity points in the Scimitar of Lord Hoth competition at the end of the year. This member may keep the Scimitar for as long as they retain the title, however, if another member supplants them, possession of the Scimitar is to be transferred
Siji Sing Dipengini - The Siji Sing Dipengini is a unique crystal Accessory. Highly sought after during the Myrkr Crusade, this hand-sized stone was a relic kept safe by an ancient Neti tribe. It was a rough-cut stone, refracting blue, and purple hues. The "Desired One" absorbs the Force and projects vague images of events both long ago, far into the future, and even allows one to commune with the essence of deceased Force-sensitives. For those who seek a clearer, deeper truth, the Desired One calls for a sacrifice from the seeker; a portion of their essence fed to the stone. For this reason, the stone is locked in a specially designed vault on the Solari, accessible to all but under strict supervision.
Technocratic Artifact - “The Technocratic Artifact is a technologically created crystal artifact that is infused with the spirit of an ancient, dark side Force User who has become akin to an advanced AI housed inside. Originally created for Meridian Station, it was re-appropriated by the Brotherhood following the Rite of Supremacy: Meridian. It can be integrated into a capital ship or space station but is known to be incredibly hostile. …say it's integrated into one of your ships, or a space station if you have one, but at that point, you're essentially giving up control of whatever asset it's in and giving it over to an ancient Sith Lord AI.”
So those are the 2 out of 3 artifacts we could have created. We still have one remaining. We’ve been given until the end of this year to come up with this final artifact.
I would like to give a big shout-out to those members who have devoted countless hours to improving all the things that make not only this Clan but this Club what it is today.
Congratulations to our newest Elders!
Since our move to Discord, we’ve been tinkering with how to take advantage of all of its features. One of which is its Event feature. We can create an Event that will link you to the chosen voice channel at a specified time. Plus, there is a notification up at the top of the screen under the “Dark Jedi Brotherhood” that shows you all the events scheduled to happen. This makes it super easy to join in on our Weekly Community Events!
We are always looking for new Clanmates to host them, so if you have something you’d like to do with your Clubmates and want to earn some bonus Scimitar points while doing it, give me a date, time, and what you’d like to do, and you can host your very own Community Event.
Also, be on the lookout in chat and the Event icon for upcoming Clan and DB goodies!

There have been some big changes in gaming that warrant some discussion. First, Player versus Player (PVP) as we used to know it in the club where you queue in the bot to fight another DB member is gone. If you want to play JA with someone you can just ask them or create a matchmaking party like you would with any other game. Likewise, you submit screenshots for playing against other DB members like you would any other game.
The Voice unveiled a new unified rubric for all fiction activities. But more importantly there is a new faction and plotline for the Brotherhood. The Children of Mortis are a mysterious faction of Force users the Brotherhood is only starting to learn about. Stay tuned for more updates as the plot unfolds leading into the next Great Jedi War.
The Regent office has been exceptionally busy in the past month releasing clan artifacts, weapons upgrades for all existing weapons, planetary defenses and another “booster pack” releases of new items. Be sure to check out these new releases, play with your loadouts and spend those hard earned credits!
Exarch - We have a dedicated RP channel for the entire brotherhood plus an automated way to create RPs using the bot and Discord’s thread system.
Shadow Academy Society - The SA society has had a major overhaul which includes new items and a sweet new perk of having additional lore or language topics on your character sheets.
Chamber of Justice is Hiring - The appeals panel and hands of justice are open. Apply!

Essik Asks: “Given the nature of our Clan, how much violence can we get away with if it's in self-defense?”
Revak: “The amount of force to be used, officially sanctioned by the Clan, must be the least amount of force possible to bring an end to the incident.”
Xolarin Asks: “What are you looking forward to most out of the new Clan Dominion possessions? What excites Revak on an individual level with any of these "new" assets?”
Revak: “What excites me the most is the immersion factor. When you have something tangible, that you can outfit how you choose it becomes more real. Like how we can take Sky Breach base, link it to the wiki and now we "have" Sky Breach base. Sure we've always had it, but now you can see it and outfit it.
I also think it will make our locations more relevant and relatable. These locations have always been in the system, but instead of combing through wiki pages or fictions, you can simply look to see what each planet has on its surface.
It's a goal of mine to have the members use Clan possessions, incorporate them into their characters and build onto them more. I think it's what makes this particularly exciting.”
Turel: “Integrating all the wonder locations members have developed over the years on the wiki into our possessions. Also, not gonna lie, the space station from X-wing alliance makes me happy. I just need an excuse to buy one for the clan."
If you’ve made it this far, I’d like to thank you for reading our report. A lot of big changes have come down and there are still more to come so stay tuned. Come join us in a roleplay or during one of our Community Events.
If you ever have any questions or would like to tell us how crappy we are as people, feel free to contact Turel or myself. Until next time, may the Force guide you.
