Hoth Command Trepus Mining Facility Solyiat - 0830

The young Aedile stumbled into his office attempting to catch his breath, brow dripping with sweat. He offered a glance towards his desk and released a heavy sigh. ‘I’m not sure which will kill me first: Zoya’s morning PT or the mountain of paperwork I’ve been putting off.’ To his satisfaction, however, the majority of his workload was nearly completion; the old Trepus mine and transfer station was near fully converted into a fully functional base of operations for Hoth.

This achievement would mark the first time, since New Tython, that the Gray Jedi would have a home. Not only him, however, but the entire House as well. The day had been in the making for some time and the pride he felt for the men and women under his command reflected brightly each time he submitted his progress reports to Colonel Cortel, ensuring to highlight the long, hard hours each person put forth towards their tasks.

As Edgar nearly crashed into his desk chair from exhaustion, he noticed a message from the JTF Commander. Rubbing his eyes into focus, he read over the communique: apparently Councillors Sorenn and Kituri were due to arrive within the next few days to tour the base, but also to offer their approval for the Trepus facility to be commissioned as the official base of operations for Hoth JTF. Along with the message, there was the standard list of final preparations and assessments that needed to be completed to Arcia’s satisfaction.

“Always a list of things to complete with her. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say she’s either trying to kill us or she is one of those anal-retentive women that can’t have a speck of dust out of place!” Edgar grumbled as he examined the list in detail.

Introduction - A New Chapter

Welcome to another edition of the Hoth Aedile report we find ourselves in a nice break from major events in which we all can try to catch up on projects, for fun gaming, personal fictions and of course grabbing as many comps as you can.

It also is giving Esca and I a great chance to catch up on some backlogged house stuff as well. There are a few proposals some of you submitted that we will be going through, leaving notes, edits in the hopes of getting all of them approved and officially on the wiki ASAP. If you want an update on anything you may have submitted, please contact us and we will give you a update. Also, if you want to submit something to help build the planet or create a NPC that the House could feature down the line please contact us we want all of your ideas!

I think the biggest thing this break has allowed us to do is publish two House fiction updates to catch up to where we want the house to be now. As you can see in this report fiction, our Trepus Base is mostly complete but now we need your help. I have created a base design HOTH-Trepus Mine Refit for you to help us design what is actually in our base so we can describe it and hopefully get a map made for the wiki page.

I’m glad we are ending the “moving in” phase so we can use the next Clan Event to springboard the House into the next phase and that will be the “getting back into the fight” phase. This is where we will be building up to our first solo House event and to get us back out there destroying evil and protecting the Clan.

• New House Shan QUA report - Mako recently stepped down (thank you again for your service) and Commander Alethia Archenksova was elevated to become the new QUA of the House. Congratulations Arch! For all the above positions I strongly encourage anyone interested to apply for these positions. Also as a word to the wise before you send in your applications make sure you have it proof read!

Clan Odan-Urr Event - SenNet: Resurgence (COMING Oct 1, 2016)

I’m sure you are all aware but the next Clan Event Was postponed to October 1st to give us all more of a breather. Having back to back events lead most of us in summit thinking we all need a break but it was the member feedback that really pushed for the change. So keep an eye out for more details soon (™).

I love this about Odan-Urr. Not only do the member’s give feedback, but it’s also nice to see the Summit listen as well. By the way if you want to leave comments here is the Feedback Form.

• Tisto asked - What interesting storylines await Hoth?

Future storylines are not completed yet as Esca and I are still kicking ideas around, but once time permits a Official House Hoth event will happen and it will happen outside the Kiast system. I also look forward to seeing a KoA event happen as well. I have been promised that storyline will be very interesting and fun.

• Scarlet Agna asked - What do you like most about Clan Odan-Urr?

Well Scarlet it’s not one thing i love about the Clan it’s many different things, but i guess if I had to pick only one thing I would have to say that being in Odan-Urr is really like being in a family. We have are good times, our bad times and our WTH are we doing times like all clans do which is nothing new. The major difference is that we are here for each other and ever leader upholds the idea of we are not here to pad our stats or our own glory we are all here to help and make the newest to the oldest members the best they can be. Also it’s our job to make sure everyone is safe and are having as much fun as possible. SO to make this even longer Odan-Urr is truly the only clan i know that is made by and for the members and not dictated by the summits.

We are being punished for our lack of faith. Apparently it’s disturbing.

• Lithar Andaris asked - Where do you imagine yourself in 5 years in terms of DJB? This is a tough question, simply because who can see that far into the future. Will I still be in the DJB or have moved on? Who knows, but assuming i am still in the DJB I hope that i am still connected with COU and have helped it become one of the powerhouses of the DJB. If I’m not in COU that I hope i’m leading Clan Drachen to victory. :)

In conclusion -

With all the changes and the new blood within the Clan and the DJB leadership positions the next few months will be very exciting. I really do hope that many of you apply for some of these openings. This is a great time of opportunity and if you ever want to reach the high ranks this is your time to shine. So good luck to any and all that apply to these openings. As for House Hoth I look forward to help create both a Battleteam and full House event with Esca and Tisto for your enjoyment. We are already thinking of things to do and once we have more information and even an idea on when (not for a while) it could run we will let you know. In the meantime keep your proposals and world building ideas coming! Remember on Solyiat mortals create the world!
