Hoth QUA Report V3 R2 - War Approaches

Introduction - The Great Jedi War, a return home, and New Graphics, who’s this?
I would be amiss in not starting this month's report by acknowledging our very own Seals for creating my new report graphics. They look amazing, and she did an awesome job. Please give her props in the comments for all of her hard work and creativity.
Since taking over the House last month, I have been very busy, trying to find us an Aedile, working with Doon and the Clan summit to get Hoth ready to spread its wings once the Great Jedi War is over (more on that a bit later). We got the Battle team moving with a new storyline, and after some discussion, Jack and Len agreed to my plan on officially moving Hoth back to where it belongs… on Solyiat!
So look for upcoming comps and fiction prompts to help the House resettle The Trepus Base (maybe time for a new name, too), but for now, the details are still being worked out, and there will be a fiction update to cover our return home.
For now, it’s time for us to recharge and prepare ourselves for the biggest event in the DJB, a Great Jedi War! If this is your first war, then just think it’s a much larger version of Parabellum with some of the same types of comps. Once we have more information about the competitions, Jack will let us know.
Pay attention to the Dark Council news post linked below, which will be posted throughout the month and the event. Remember, if you ever have a question, please come to Jack, Len, or me.
Fiction
The Next House fiction isn’t ready, yet I’m hoping to have it out for you to enjoy before the War starts.
Some things to look forward to.
- The Knights are clearing a Castle
- After much discussion, Jack is allowing me to take Hoth back home to Solyiat
- The return to the Trepus Mine and introduction of some new locations, including a New City founded by Ed on the House’s behalf.
- Hoth is taking up a new dual role in and out of the Kiast System.
DB and House Hoth News - GFW XVII will launch by the end of the Month!
With the Great Jedi War coming, there has been a flurry of posts from the Dark Council about it. Please make sure you read these over. They will explain critical rules and things to expect during the event.
Idris announces the GJW Transfer Ban which starts on May 16th.
Uji (aka Donny) released a few news posts, one announcing the GJW Game list, these games will be featured during the event. Most are free to play, so now would be a good time to download them and start practicing.
And then Donny posted this reminder about the Rites of Combat. Make sure you are aware of these rules, especially if you plan to participate in gaming during the War.
Now for some Clan House news.
Arch aka Dath Strix was just named a member of the Star Chamber for a 2 year term in this NEWS POST congratulations my dear friend.
Hoth’s Aedile application period was extended to the 16th, and Sunrider is also looking for an Aedile. If interested, feel free to apply to both. As a reminder, here is my Original Job posting.

Xantros Asked #AskEd Since you are the Hothfather, are you planning to turn Hoth into a criminal family based on the Corleone family?
Honestly, I could write Ed's backstory (which I have to write), he did spend some time in a gang before meeting Turel and joining COU. I’m also amassing a small army of Edprentices, so I could go that route, but since we serve the clan, I don’t believe this is in the cards for now. Maybe working with a crime family outside the system to strike at our enemies might work.
Sign off
House Hoth and the Knights are coming home and preparing for our first big storyline that will take place sometime after the GJW. Hopefully, before the War, I can introduce a New Aedile and, with them, present to you the members some fun activities and start looking to include you in the future of your House. I look forward to moving our story forward with you.
