A Message from the Quaestor

Hello, darlings, and welcome to another report! As you may have heard, war is upon us! For those of you who have been around awhile, you know what this means. For those of you who are new, you are in for an exciting time!

Our friends over in Odan Urr won the title of First Clan with their victory last year, while we came in second place. But this year we are looking to take the title back! So grab your arting utensil of choice, load up your favorite writing app, and get those gaming faces on. Remember, participation is important when it comes to the war, so do your best to at least do one competition in every bin. Let’s get excited, because the war will officially begin on July 20th!

A Message from the Aedile

Hallo, my delicious lekfriends! How are you? Excited for WAAAAGH!!!? I’ve been mending from a stubborn flu, probably some Chiss bacteria left in the Aedile’s quarters. Wonder why...? But now I’m in better health and ready to kick names and take ass! Or the other thing.

Really looking forward to going to War with you fine ladies and gentlemen. I know this is going to be the first War for many of you, so I am extra-honored to be helping you all make a good showing of yourselves, House Qel-Droma, and Clan Arcona! Ooo, I’m getting lekcited already!

“Okay, so I think that’s about it,” Leeadra said as she swept a cerulean hand in the air over the captain’s desk. The surface was covered in a wide array of flimisplasts and datapads, stacked to an impressive and precarious height. “Everything you could possibly want to know about being captain of the Voidbreaker.”

Emere Galo fought the urge to bury her head in her hands as she considered the sheer amount of information Leeadra had imparted upon her over the past few weeks. The responsibility of the smooth running of the ship fell squarely on her shoulders. She could feel the burden settling there, and began to understand why the diminutive Pantoran had looked so stressed all the time. “It seems thorough,” she said at last.

“Yep,” Lee replied. “I’m pretty sure almost every contingency is covered somewhere.” She paused, noticing the apprehension on Emere’s face. “The regular crew knows what they need to do to keep the ship running. Listen to their advice and you should be okay. And, if all else fails, don’t forget that you’ve got your own private bar.” She glanced at the fully stocked bar for emergencies. It’s helped me out more than once.”

    • Tali: I’ve orderedt my Var-Time Lekwarmers, they vill be so inspiring, you’ll go andt be like: “Oh no, this Var vas so easy to vin! Oh gosh, andt now I still feel so inspiredt! I’ll go andt do ALL the comps forever!”
    • Lucine: Working on my writing, with a particular focus on combat writing. Oh, and also modeling my brand new sunglasses.
  • Lucine, how has purple-lek's presence affected the workplace?
    • Lucine: Her presence has added an interesting dynamic. All told, she has proven to be competent and an excellent leader. I would go further and say that she is a joy to be around, but… well… let us not get too crazy.
  • Tali, what do you think of all the Chiss men running around?
    • Tali: Ack! Ghosts! Didt I mention I am partially colorblindt?
  • How does it feel to have Rhylance out and about someplace else?
    • Tali: Safe(r)
    • Lucine: Things have most certainly gotten less interesting.

    • Lucine: The war room might be occupied at that time. I will get back to you.
  • Haaaave you hugged Sully yet?
    • Tali: Vho? gets violently tackled
    • Lucine: I do not consider myself to be much of a hugger, darling.

  • What are your plans for dealing with the Dawn Conclave? What resources of mine may you need?*
    • Tali: Do you have a can of Anti-Conclave spray? If not, ve’re gonna needt guns, gazillions of guns! (Also guns vith legs!)
    • Lucine: I am in agreement with Tali. Weaponry, ordinance and intel will be our biggest tools in defeating the Dawn Conclave. It appears we might be getting into a war of attrition.
  • Lucine have you given any thoughts to the invitation I sent you? The trip abroad looks quite intriguing if you ask me.*
    • Lucine: Well, it does seem to be a lovely venue, and the company seems ideal. However, cursory research tells me that the Intergalactic Ballroom Dancing Championships will be held there during the dates your proposed. You would not happen to have an ulterior motive, would you?
  • Tali, have you been reading the books on grief management that I sent you? I do hope to see some progress soon. We need you to not be so emotional come war time.*
    • Tali: sounds of strained concentration crack
    • Lucine: Oh dear, it appears we have lost yet another picture of our Proconsul. Still, that is only five frames today, so I think that she is making good progress.

  • Regarding that question about the holes, well I also am poking holes in Galeres stuff, Scarlett allowed me. Fortunately I also poked a hole in Karran's leg. I hope this makes up for my transgressions, yes?
    • Tali: As long as the hole-poking is consensual...
    • Lucine: Mmmm, somewhat….
  • More holepoking awaits for the upcoming war. How are you both preparing for the fight to come?
    • Tali: I’ve gotten ridt of the baby veight, fixedt up my armor andt scream for five minutes at the Proconsul’s picture to get my Varface on.
    • Lucine: Well, let’s see. I am making certain that everyone has their stylish War Sunglasses, combing through the latest intel and making my plans.
  • Anything special aside from the bins that we can look forward to during or after the war?
    • Tali: That vouldt be telling… Vhich ve shall! More plans for kicking the Dawn Conclave in the kneecaps andt stealing their lunch money!
    • Lucine: Indeed, you can expect more Dawn Conclave fun after the war. Annnnd, word on the street is that the RP nights will be resuming after the war!
  • I'm planning to open up a shop on Selen after the war is over. Enchanted jewelry, trinkets, remedies, cosmetics, runes and free communions with the dead for those first customers. Just a heads up, will be distributing VIP-chits during the first few days! Bonus discount for Tali and Lucine if they can forgive me for poking holes.
    • Tali: Vhat’s the discount?
    • Lucine: Step into my office, darling. The one that is not the airlock. I think we can come to some sort of arrangement.

  • How does Tali feel about Emere?
    • Tali: She can respect a strong voman vhen she sees one. The confidence is strong vith this one, although she’dt prefer a bit brighter attitude...
  • How does Lucine feel about Emere?
    • Lucine: Competent and not inclined to sudden emotional outbursts. I am watching with interest to see how you do in leading the Voidbreaker team!
  • Do either of them trust her to run the Voidbreaker and its crew properly?
    • Tali: Errr… Define properly? Yes! She’ll do fine! It’s all fine… “Ve’re getting a new BattleTeam after the Var, right Lucine?”
    • Lucine: Trust is such a strong word, darling. But I believe that Emere understands that there will be consequences if she fails to perform adequately.
  • How do they feel about Alaisy poking holes in the Voidbreaker's hull?
    • Tali: Ve vishedt she’dt poke more holes in Emere, holes in people tendt to heal. Holes in space ships cost money andt material to repair...
    • Lucine: It makes me feel like poking holes of my own! In her void suit.
  • Any big plans regarding the House and Voidbreaker?
    • Tali: Big plans! Great plans! The biggest plans! Our plans, so big, so beautiful, so plannedt! Our plans, they are the biggest andt the best, andt the planniest!
    • Lucine: Oh yes, there are in fact plans in the making.
