Hello! Due to some questions and confusion about the XP System, and how often to award people - I've added a bullet to the Master at Arms Policies page that I hope clears it up.
If a member is making reasonable, sustained progress towards a higher medal - it may be appropriate to hold off beyond the six months to a year timeframe for awarding.
I've had questions from Consuls in the past about where and when to draw the line on awarding their members. This is an answer I've given in the past: So someone is looking at a higher medal in the future (but when?), and you think they might make significant progress, so you hold off for a few months, and then a few more months go by, and then a few more months - and now - oh no, it's been two years since their last medal. Put more simply? At some point you should probably just call it and reccomend them for a medal.
I'm hoping what has been added, in addition to the other sections on the policies page are helpful for guidance.

This is a sign of the end times
I knew this was coming and thought about giving warning a news post was coming but I was afraid I’d cause a panic.
I legitimately went "holy shit a Howie post?" And had to click.
he didn't number it. He broke his own streak, shouldn't this have been MAA report #17?
good to have a ruling though
Congrats on your first MAA news report!
Silly Howie, news posts are for kids.
