Greetings, Jedi!

Without delving too deep into another introduction, I wanted to announce the launch of our latest event, Rise of the Force Ascendant. This is a brand-new tale in our latest plotline, dubbed the Grand Scheme—and grand, it is. Unlike from the sub-plots of “Tales of New Tython” and “The Sentinel Network,” the Grand Scheme is in effect our one major story arc that ties all of these together, and will have the most impact on our fiction moving forward.

However, there has been enough room left to allow for winning entries to hold some impact on our Clan’s canonical directions. This means that like our other events, winners can be featured in fiction, or have their own writings rolled into official releases. There’s a large chance that the group that performs above expectations in the Run-On will have their team featured in fiction, so make sure to participate!

Dusk befell the village bordering the Kuku-Hawene temple, casting a shadow over the bog that surrounded its raised shelters. Shutters of bark and sinew rattled in the breeze; the inhabitants barricading their doors for the nightmares that came in the night. All those who ventured far would not return, for the terrible sounds that reverberated through the bramble and muck were proof enough of their fate.

The village rested at the eastern base of the Central Mountains, removed from the politics of Menat Ombo to the far south. Sunlight was short; the sun disappeared over the mountainous peaks at midday.

Superstition was the lifeblood of the Arataki Harakoans. It provided them with the tales and rules that governed their isolated existence. Clutching to their families, the villagers feared for the horror that would mark their homes, scratching the wooden posts with monstrous claws.

Read the rest of the fiction here.

Event Competitions

While this announcement is a bit late, a number of competitions have been released that are all included in the event. Eight in total, a number of these end on 2015-10-18, while others run the length of the event, ending on 2015-10-30. It was decided that instead of the usual week-to-week format, we might benefit from adding an additional three days to each “part” of the event. I recommend checking out the competitions in the below links, as the details for each one can be found in full. Also, the parent competition contains the listings for the duration of each competition and whether it be gaming, fiction, or a puzzle.

Also, Turel was kind enough to create a sign-up form for the Run-On event—with a twist. Unlike other Run-On events, this one will follow the prompt-based format of Pravus’ Avenger II Run-On that was run in the prologue of the Horizons event. Too new to recall the event? Here’s a chance to relive the moment with a new premise—experiencing the trials of the Order of the Force Ascendant.

Brotherhood News

Of Blasters and Starships

Ever dream of being able to be a Snowtrooper during the Battle of Hoth? What about a TIE or X-Wing pilot? Well, Star Wars EA has finally drawn us closer to release with a Beta this weekend! Now available on Origin and other platforms, our Fist has released some information on the Beta, and things to expect. Interested? Have a look.

I recommend reading the Battlefront: Beta Test & Specs News Post. As Valhavoc mentions, there's plenty of awesome information to be found in it including information on Cluster rewards for this Beta Weekend as well as a Competition that will be running during it.

Trick-or-Treat

More goodies have come down from the Herald staff, with the promise of more to come. Good thing trees don’t need sleep. In the latest news, we’ve seen a form for custom weapon requests, new custom blasters, swords, Inquisitor gear and some teasers of things unreleased. What more is in Vorsa’s bag of tricks—take a guess!

A shining beacon to the lost.

Once again, Satele Shan’s Quaestor has gone above the scope of what we as a Brotherhood have come to expect of our Equites, giving me reason to re-use our favorite portrait of the armour-clad leader of the Force Ascendant. Yes, we have noticed and the recommendations can be found here. But first, see his latest report.

Filling the shoes of Seridan, Chib Nyac has come into the fold with a fresh vision to unleash for those in House Satele Shan. So far, I’m awed at the speed at which he released a first introduction which includes a piece of fiction for those interested. His application was impressive overall, being a published author himself and having recently lended that same expertise to Tarentum as Samael. We’re glad to have him back!

Moreover, Lu’aisha Gresee has released a new communiqué (to be fancier than the usual reports) for the Disciples of Baas Battle Team. Destin Oceanfel managed first place in the three events, gaining an overwhelming victory for the event “Phantom of the Feud.” Good work!

In peace, Vigilance.

While there isn’t much to report, Seraphol has released a report in which he talks about his meetings with both Chewbacca (Posing as Peter Mayhew) and Vanessa Marshall (Hera from Star Wars: Rebels). Seriously, check it out.

While it is older news, Liam Torun has also released a report for the Knights of Allusis. I’m loving what I’m seeing with our members, keep it going!

That's it for this report!

TL;DR

  • Rise of the Force Ascendant Released!
  • Chib Nyac is the Aedile of House Satele Shan!
  • Mar Sûl Promoted!
  • Shinies!
  • Battlefront Beta!

Number 7 already? Damn. Seems like only yesterday you became Consul.

Great report ;)

What a day it is to be in COU! Nice report. Can't wait to see what everyone does the event.

KoA lead the Charge to victory.

I will love to see everyone's work once the competition is over, but I would like to see which other Battle Team does half as good as the Knights of Allusis. Seeing as how we are the best! =D

Good luck everyone, have a blast, and watch the Knights of Allusis do more than Ooroo and Baas, while getting better results than the two combined!

Great report boss! Get out there and dig in COU, there's plenty of hot comp action to be had!

Such an exciting time to be in COU!
